There are about 4372 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Greece. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The overall objective is to assess the effect of once daily tiotropium + olodaterol fixed dose combination compared to 5 µg tiotropium (both delivered with the Respimat® inhaler) on moderate to severe COPD exacerbation in patients with severe to very severe COPD.
This randomized, multi-center, active-controlled, open-label, parallel-group study will investigate the efficacy and safety of biomarker-driven maintenance treatment for first-line mCRC. Participants with mCRC are eligible for entry and cannot have received any prior chemotherapy in the metastatic setting. The entire study duration is anticipated to be approximately 7.5 years.
Patients with histologically proven malignancy with documented disease control (objective response or stable disease) or Not Evaluable Disease (NED) expectancy > 6 months; only HLA-A*02 positive patients. The primary objective of the trial is to compare safety and tolerability of four different doses of Vx-006. The secondary objective is to compare immunogenicity of four different doses of the Vx-006.
The purpose of the study was to understand if there was benefit in continued treatment with a medicine called enzalutamide, when starting treatment with docetaxel and prednisolone (a standard chemotherapy for prostate cancer), after the prostate cancer had gotten worse when treated with enzalutamide alone.
The efficacy of intravenous paracetamol has never been compared with other drugs for the management of fever due to infections. Available data come from clinical studies conducted in healthy volunteers subject to experimental endotoxemia. The present study compares the efficacy of the new ΑPOTEL Μax® formulation versus placebo for the management of fever of infectious origin.
This is a multi-centre, placebo-controlled, double-blind, parallel-group study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of mepolizumab adjunctive therapy in participants with severe eosinophilic asthma on markers of asthma control. The overall intent of the current study is to more fully explore the impact of mepolizumab on health-related quality of life (HR-QoL) and other measures of asthma control, including lung function. Participants who meet the predefined criteria will be randomised to receive either mepolizumab or placebo in addition to standard of care asthma treatment. Approximately 780 participants with severe eosinophilic asthma will be screened to ensure the randomisation of 544 participants (272 participants per treatment group) into the study.
This registry is a prospective, non-interventional, post authorisation safety study for patients diagnosed with Transfusion Dependent, IPSS low or intermediate-1-Risk Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS), associated to a single abnormality of the chromosome 5 [del(5q)]. The purpose of this study is to collect additional data about the safety of an oral drug (lenalidomide, Revlimid®) that may have been prescribed to relieve anemia and decrease the need of blood transfusions. However, also patients affected by the MDS del(5q) who receive other treatments different from lenalidomide can be included in this study, if they agree.
Objective of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of Lutonix 035 Drug Coated Dilatation PTA Catheter with Bard LifeStent Vascular Stent (hereinafter referred to as LifeStent) for treatment of long (10-24 cm) lesions in the SFA and/or proximal popliteal artery.
The purpose of this study was to determine whether treatment with tamoxifen or a non-steroidal aromatase inhibitors (NSAI) + goserelin + LEE011 prolonged progression-free survival (PFS) compared to treatment with tamoxifen or a NSAI + goserelin + placebo in premenopausal women with hormone receptor positive (HR+), human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 negative (HER2-) advanced breast cancer.
Medtronic , Inc. is sponsoring the World-wide Randomized Antibiotic Envelope Infection Prevention Trial (WRAP-IT), a randomized, prospective, multi-center, single blinded, post-market, interventional clinical study. This study will evaluate the ability of the TYRX™ envelope to reduce major Cardiac Implantable Electronic Device (CIED) infections through 12-months post-procedure following CIED generator replacement, upgrade, revision, or de novo cardiac resynchronization therapy defibrillator (CRT-D) implant. Additionally, this large device study provides the unique opportunity to prospectively characterize the performance of Medtronic's lead monitoring features in subjects whose CIED system includes a transvenous right ventricular (RV) defibrillation lead. Finally, the WRAP-IT study will serve as a post-approval study for those geographies requiring a post-approval study of the TYRX™ envelope.
