There are about 4372 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Greece. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The primary objective of this study was to demonstrate whether, in addition to standard of care, finerenone is superior to placebo in delaying the progression of kidney disease, as measured by the composite endpoint of time to first occurrence of kidney failure, a sustained decrease of estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) ≥40% from baseline over at least 4 weeks, or renal death.
This is a post-marketing observational study of patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (specifically, Crohn's disease or Ulcerative Colitis) who have been prescribed CT-P13 (infliximab) or Remicade (infliximab) for treatment. CT-P13 (brand names Inflectra and Remsima) is a biosimilar medicine to Remicade, meaning it is a biologic medicine that contains the same active substance as Remicade (infliximab). The key study objectives are as follows: - To characterize the population and drug utilization patterns of patients treated with CT-P13 for Crohn's Disease (CD) or Ulcerative Colitis (UC) in the context of standard of care Remicade - To explore the long-term safety profile of CT-P13 in the treatment of patients with CD or UC in the context of standard of care Remicade - To assess the effectiveness of CT-P13 in the treatment of patients with CD or UC in the context of standard of care Remicade
In this study, all patients must have already completed first-line chemotherapy to treat extensive-stage disease small cell lung cancer. The purpose of this study is to show that nivolumab, or nivolumab plus ipilimumab followed by nivolumab by itself, will prolong overall survival when administered as consolidation treatment in patients that are stable or responding after chemotherapy. Patients receiving treatment will be compared with patients taking placebo.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of omadacycline as compared to moxifloxacin in the treatment of adults with community-acquired bacterial pneumonia.
In the context of the Risk Management Plan (RMP), as requested from Addmedica by the EMEA, to collect information about long-term safety of Siklos® (hydroxycarbamide) when used in patients with Sickle Cell Disease.
Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a sleep disorder characterized by recurrent episodes of partial or complete collapse of the upper airway during sleep, leading to pauses of breathing and arousals. Although previously considered as a local abnormality of the respiratory track, it is nowadays recognized as a systemic disease and an important cause of morbidity and mortality, since it is strongly associated with obesity (especially abdominal obesity) and cardiometabolic diseases, including cardiovascular diseases and diabetes mellitus. Interestingly, recent hypotheses support that the metabolic syndrome pathology, including insulin resistance, inflammation and oxidative stress may be involved in OSA pathogenesis. The modification of lifestyle habits, e.g. in terms of diet and physical activity, is currently explored as a mean of managing the disease in combination with the first line treatment, i.e., the application of continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) during sleep. The available data support that weight loss, achieved through lifestyle modification, effectively reduces the severity of OSA and improves the associated cardiometabolic disorders in overweight or obese patients. However, studies exploring the potential effect of diet's quality or other lifestyle habits (such as physical activity) on OSA severity, besides weight loss, are currently lacking. Given that a Mediterranean dietary pattern, as well as other lifestyle habits adopted by the populations in the Mediterranean region, have been proven beneficial both for the prevention and the resolution of the metabolic syndrome and its associated cardiometabolic diseases, the aim of the present randomized, controlled, single-blind study is to implement an intensive intervention based on the Mediterranean lifestyle (hypocaloric diet and 7 group lifestyle counselling sessions) and to evaluate its potential benefits, compared with standard care (hypocaloric diet and written advice for healthy lifestyle), in a sample of patients with OSA.
The main purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of an alternative dose of ramucirumab in combination with paclitaxel in participants with second-line metastatic or locally advanced, unresectable gastric or gastroesophageal junction adenocarcinoma (GEJ).
This is a prospective, open-label, single arm translational study of cabazitaxel in bone Castration Resistant metastatic Pancreatic Cancer (mCRPC) patients. Patient will be treated with intravenous (iv) cabazitaxel 25mg/m2 every (q) 21days per standard clinical practice for up to 10 cycles or until disease progression or unacceptable toxicity or physician's decision or patient's consent withdrawal (whichever occurs first).
This study aims to investigate the possible clinical effect of dexamethasone on the action of sugammadex when it is administered to reverse deep neuromuscular blockade caused by rocuronium in laparoscopic cholecystectomies.
Protocol CP-4-004-EXT is designed as a long-term, open-label extension using single patient use, multi-dose, disposable pre-filled pen.
