There are about 720 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Georgia. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of eptinezumab administered intravenously in participants experiencing an acute attack of migraine.
Tuberculosis (TB) remains a life-threatening disease partly due to increasing incidence of multidrug and extensively drug-resistant TB. Diagnostic based on culture and conventional drug susceptibility testing using media take several weeks leading to prolonged periods of ineffective therapy and ongoing transmission. Development of rapid molecular diagnostic tests for the identification of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) and drug resistance has become a high priority. The Xpert® MTB/RIF Assay does not provide information on INH-resistance and the LPA is only recommended for use in smear-positive samples, complex to perform and requires manual interpretation. Several novel assays have been recently developed/CE-marked offering high sample throughput and higher sensitivity for detection of MTB, RIF- and INH-resistance in centralized laboratories. However, published data on their performance and operational characteristics is extremely limited. This is a prospective, multicentre, diagnostic accuracy trial in which the performance of centralised TB assay solutions will be assessed at the intended setting of use with culture, phenotypic DST and sequencing as reference standard. Potential trial participants will be identified at participating TB clinics or hospitals (enrolment sites). Sputum samples will be collected and transported to the associated TB reference laboratories (testing sites). In order for the results of this trial to be generalizable, adults with symptoms compatible with pulmonary TB undergoing evaluation will be screened for inclusion at geographically diverse participating centres in high burden TB countries. Additionally, to supplement the drug-resistant cases to timely achieve accurate performance estimates, well-characterized frozen sputum samples from the FIND specimen bank will be used.
This is a first-in-human, open-label, multicenter, Phase I multiple-ascending dose (MAD) study of RO7247669, an anti PD-1 (programmed death-1) and LAG-3 (Lymphocyte-activation gene 3) bispecific antibody, for participants with advanced and/or metastatic solid tumors. This study aims to establish the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) and/or define the recommended phase 2 dose (RP2D) based on the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetic (PK) and/or pharmacodynamic (PD) profile of RO7247669, and to evaluate preliminary anti-tumor activity in participants with solid tumors. An expansion part of the study is planned to enroll tumor-specific cohorts to evaluate anti-tumor activity of the MTD and/or RP2D of RO7247669 and to confirm safety and tolerability in participants with selected tumor types.
This study evaluates the sensitivity and specificity performance of three Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) rapid diagnostic tests (RDTs) in freshly collected fingerstick whole blood, as well as serum and plasma (Premier Medical Corporation First Response HCV RDT; Beijing Wantai HCV RDT; AccessBio Care Start HCV under development). Performance is compared to the SD Bioline HCV RDT, as well as a composite reference standard, consisting of two enzyme Immunoassay and a line immunoassay.
The primary objective of this study is: • To evaluate the long-term safety of fostamatinib in subjects with warm antibody autoimmune hemolytic anemia (wAIHA).
The purpose of this study is to evaluate long-term safety and efficacy of ublituximab therapy in participants with relapsing multiple sclerosis (RMS).
A multinational, multicenter, randomized, Phase III, double blind, parallel group, placebo controlled study in subjects with Relapsing Forms of Multiple Sclerosis (RMS) to assess the efficacy, safety and tolerability of GA Depot, a long acting IM injection of glatiramer acetate, administered once every four weeks
First in Human feasibility and sfafety study of the alfapump DSR system in the treatment of Heart failure subects resistant to diuretic therapy. Up to 10 subjects will be enrolled in up to 3 centres in Belgium and Georgia and will be iplanted with the alfapump DSR system. Subjects will undergo DSR titration during a 2 week hospitalisation period, and will continue titrated DSR therapy as outpatients for 4 more weeks.
This is a multi-center, randomized, parallel arm, double-blind study with a total duration of subjects' participation of 48 weeks. Approximately 260 participants with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis will be randomized to receive 12 doses of either PB006 or EU-licensed Natalizumab.
This is an extension study to provide adjuvant treatment with single agent Herceptin or TX05 and assess continued safety and immunogenicity in subjects with HER2-positive early breast cancer following neoadjuvant treatment and surgical resection in Protocol TX05-03.
