There are about 21071 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Spain. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
In the university environment, where academic pressure and personal exploration are paramount, yoga serves as a sanctuary for students facing stress and seeking self-discovery. Through practices like asanas, pranayama, and meditation, yoga equips students with tools to manage stress, foster inner balance, and enhance emotional well-being. Apart from its emotional benefits, yoga offers physical advantages, improving strength, flexibility, and posture, particularly beneficial for those sedentary due to academic demands. Moreover, yoga enhances concentration and mental clarity through mindfulness practices, aiding students in academic focus and problem-solving.Additionally, yoga provides a space for students to disconnect from external stimuli and recharge, reducing mental and physical fatigue while boosting vitality. By integrating yoga into university life, students can better balance academic pressures with personal care, laying the groundwork for a more harmonious and mindful future.
In this study, the investigators aim to assess that infants with mild symptoms have significantly less (severe) symptoms after 14 days goat milk-based formula use compared to infants using cow's milk-based formula supplemented with probiotic drops.
Purpose. Myositis is a rare disease associated with impaired health-related quality of life. A study evaluating the effectiveness of an intervention to improve the quality of life and well-being of myositis patients is presented. Materials and Methods. All myositis patients in a health district are contacted. Eligible patients are randomly assigned to the experimental or control group. A psychoeducational intervention of 5 100-min sessions focusing on the disease as related to daily life is conducted only in experimental patients. Several reliable tools to measure quality of life and well-being are administered twice, before and after the intervention, to both groups.
The aim of this study is to analyze changes in health perception and quality of life in patients after surgery for varicose veins using clinical score VCSS and QoL scores SF12 as general health questionary and Veines QoL/Sym as disease specific questionary.
The objective of the project is to elucidate if the oral administration of Ligilactobacillus salivarius CECT5713 is capable of improving the rates of term pregnancies in couples with infertility problems of unknown cause. On the other hand, the project is aimed to detect microbiological, immunological and hormonal markers that allow the identification of couples in which the administration of the strain could be particularly effective. This is a randomized, double-blind, parallel-group controlled nutritional intervention study. The intervention (Ligilactobacillus salivarius CECT5713 or placebo) will be performed during the 6 months prior to the fertility treatment and during the first IVF cycle (estimated 1-2 months). In case of pregnancy, the woman will continue the treatment until 12 weeks of gestation.
The goal of this interventional study is to to evaluate the oral bioavailability of the crystallized form of pterostilbene (ccPT) compared to its commercial free base form (pterostilbene (PT) in healthy volunteers. The main question it aims to answer are: • Do the crystallized forms of pterostilbene (ccPT) using two different encapsulation methods exhibit greater bioavailability than its commercial free base form (PT)? Participants will attend to four visits: a preselection visit (V0), a visit for the first postprandial study (V1), a visit for the second postprandial study (V2) after one-week washing period and a visit for the third postprandial study (V3) after another one week washing period. Researchers will analyze the three postprandial assays to determine which type of ccPT encapsulation provides the highest bioavailability compared to the commercial free base form (PT).
Some of the clinical characteristics of people with Down syndrome (DS) are orthopedic, cardiovascular, neuromuscular, visual, cognitive and perceptual disorders, which directly affect the quality of their movements. Children with DS often have a sedentary lifestyle or low levels of physical activity which exacerbates problems related to obesity and overall physical health. Therefore, the practice of physical exercise in this type of population is essential to improve their health-related physical fitness. The aim of this study was to analyze the influence of an adapted rhythmic gymnastics training program on body composition, tendon architecture and stiffness, and physical capacity in children with DS.
Introduction: Hemophilic ankle arthropathy is manifested by functional degenerative alterations, intra-articular alterations, and chronic pain. Manual therapy techniques are used in the treatment of hemophilic ankle arthropathy for the improvement of pain and mobility. Design. Double-blind randomized pilot trial. Aimed: To evaluate the ultrasound changes by means of Doppler imaging after manual therapy intervention. Patients: A total of 20 adult patients with hemophilic ankle arthropathy will be recruited. Intervention: Each manual therapy session will last approximately 50 minutes, with 1 session per week for a period of 3 weeks. The treatment program includes 10 techniques that will be administered bilaterally. Measuring instruments: Patients will be evaluated qualitatively with ultrasound (HEAD-US scale) and assessment with Doppler ultrasound. The clinical variables will be joint damage (Hemophilia Joint Health Score) and pain intensity (Visual Analogue Scale). Expected results: Check the safety of manual therapy in patients with hemophilia regarding subclinical bleeding. Assess changes related to joint inflammatory state with imaging techniques. Observe changes in pain intensity and joint damage.
The general objective of this randomized and longitudinal clinical study was to estimate the frequencies of ApoE variants both in the user population of the "Messengers of Peace" Residences and the "Associations of Relatives of Alzheimer's Patients" in Castile y Leon, since, due to its geographical location at the crossroads, it has received multiple genetic contributions from both northern Europe, the Mediterranean area and northern Africa. The main questions it aims to answer are: - What are the allelic frequencies of ApoE variants in the population of individuals with Alzheimer's disease in Castile and Leon? - Is there a correlation between the ApoE4 variant and the lipid profile in the blood of individuals with Alzheimer's disease in this region?
Damira 2000© is a 100% extensive casein hydrolysate (eHCF). It is formulated to help reverse growth retardation as a result of cow's milk proteins allergy (CMPA), to be well tolerated and to help improve symptoms.Damira 2000 is indicated for allergy/intolerance to cow's milk proteins, atopic dermatitis secondary to CMPA, intestinal malabsorption processes and prevention of allergy/intolerance to cow's milk proteins. The study aimed at evaluating the tolerance of Damira 2000 in a cohort of children with CMPA.
