NCT ID: NCT05063370 Active, not recruiting - Right Heart Failure Clinical Trials

Levosimendan in Patients With Impaired Right Ventricular Function Undergoing Cardiac Surgery

Start date: August 18, 2021
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Perioperative right ventricular (RV) function is an important determinant of postoperative outcomes after cardiac surgery. Perioperative RV dysfunction increases the need for perioperative inotropic support, prolongs intensive care unit stay and increases in-hospital mortality, in this study, we aim to investigate the effect of the preoperative administration of levosimendan on the outcome of patients with compromised right ventricular function undergoing cardiac surgery

NCT ID: NCT05060861 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 Vaccine

Safety, Efficacy of Chadox1 Ncov-19 Vaccine: Rapid Systematic Review and Meta Analysis

Start date: June 1, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Since the beginning of COVID-19 pandemic, a safe and effective vaccine against infection and development of acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) is needed control of the wide spread of COVID-19 and reduce death rates throughout the world. Many clinical trials investigated the immunogenicity of different proposed vaccine including the first distributed vaccine; the ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 vaccine and there is a need to analyze the results of published clinical trials.

NCT ID: NCT05057481 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

Reappraisal of the Therapies of Refractory Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

Start date: September 15, 2021
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

There is a deficiency in guidelines about the treatment of autoimmune hemolytic anemia in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), especially in refractory cases. Mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) showed promising results in those patients but still, the data available are in form of case reports. So, investigators will investigate the efficiency of MMF against a well-established treatment Rituximab in the treatment of refractory autoimmune hemolytic anemia in SLE patients.

NCT ID: NCT05047861 Active, not recruiting - Tooth Socket Clinical Trials

Implant Placement in the Preserved Socket Using Socket Shield Technique With Autogenous Dentin Graft Versus Preserved Socket Using Socket Shield With Alloplast

Start date: December 1, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Alveolar bone resorption and labial bone plate reduction follow teeth extraction due to the deficiency of blood supply, derived from the loss of periodontal ligaments, and hence the socket shield technique with Bone graft was introduced to preserve the periodontal ligaments related perfusion and preserve socket dimensions for new bone formation. This study aims to compare implants placed in two differently preserved sockets, the first one preserved using Socket Shield technique with Autogenous Dentin Graft while the other socket preserved using socket shield technique with Alloplastic bone graft material

NCT ID: NCT05047406 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Transplantation Infection

Bacillus Clausii in Liver Transplantation

Start date: September 7, 2021
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

A prospective, randomized, controlled study of the safety and efficacy of using Bacillus clausii probiotic oral preparation to decrease the incidence of infection during the first 30 days after living donor liver transplantation surgery.

NCT ID: NCT05044260 Active, not recruiting - Sinus Lift Clinical Trials

Sinus Lift Using PTFE Titanium Reinforced Membrane

Start date: September 1, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Various attempts have been implemented using different materials and techniques to augment the maxillary sinus floor enhancing autogenous bone formation to allow proper dental implant positioning. The aim of this study is to evaluate the sinus lift procedure using polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) titanium-reinforced membrane to maintain the space formed after Schneiderian membrane elevation followed by immediate implant placement.

NCT ID: NCT05041673 Active, not recruiting - Clinical trials for Diabetes Mellitus, Type 2

Anti-diabetic Drugs and Fatty Liver Management

Start date: February 23, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Type 2 DM is one of the major risk factors for development of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. The pooled prevalence of fatty liver among diabetics is 54% (95% CI 45%-64%). Until now there is no well-established treatment for fatty liver disease. Study setting: Randomized controlled trial Study population: Patients with type 2 DM plus Fatty Liver. Arms and Interventions 1. Experimental arms: Group 1: metformin +/- insulin +/- sulfonylurea Group 2: Metformin plus vildagliptin+/- insulin +/- sulfonylurea Group 3: Metformin plus liraglutide+/- insulin+/- sulfonylurea Group 4: Metformin plus empagliflozin +/- insulin +/- sulfonylurea

NCT ID: NCT05039996 Active, not recruiting - Migraine Headache Clinical Trials

Effectiveness of Education and Relaxation Program on Migraine Related Disability in Patients Attending Headache Clinic

Start date: March 1, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Migraine causes severe impairment in quality of life (QOL) both during and between attacks. Migraine also increases absenteeism, reduces productivity at work as well as at home, disrupts social and family relationships, also is associated with increased healthcare costs. The current study aiming to evaluate the effectiveness of an integrated therapeutic patient education and relaxation training intervention in order to decrease the burden of migraine headache among adult patients attending the headache clinic in Ain Shams University Hospitals.

NCT ID: NCT05035524 Active, not recruiting - Covid19 Clinical Trials

A Randomized Controlled Trial to Investigate The Role of Adjuvant Inhalable Sodium Bicarbonate Solution 8.4% in Treatment of COVID-19

Start date: September 1, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional
