NCT ID: NCT02941016 Withdrawn - Clinical trials for Lipid Lowering, Vascular Inflammation

Vascular Inflammation and Cholesterol Lowering Therapy

Start date: October 2016
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

This study aim to detect change in vascular inflammation following intense lipid lowering therapy

NCT ID: NCT02921594 Withdrawn - Osteoarthritis Clinical Trials

Kinematic Comparison of Vanguard XP and Vanguard CR Total Knee Arthroplasties

Start date: September 2016
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Primary: The primary objective of this pilot study is to compare the intraarticular kinematics by fluoroscopy of Vanguard XP to that of Vanguard CR. Secondary: The secondary objective of this pilot study is to compare the standing balance by force plate of patients with the Vanguard XP prosthesis to those who have Vanguard CR prosthesis. Furthermore, we wish to assess isometric quadriceps muscle strength in both groups.

NCT ID: NCT02812849 Withdrawn - Cardiac Sarcoidosis Clinical Trials

Somatostatin Receptor Imaging in Cardiac Sarcoidosis

Start date: June 2016
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The purpose of the trial is to determine the accuracy of Cu-64 labelled DOTATATE for diagnosing cardiac sarcoidosis using PET/CT or PET/MRI.

NCT ID: NCT02740673 Withdrawn - Clinical trials for Pulmonary Disease, Chronic Obstructive

Testing Cognitive Functions in Patients With COPD Using a Driving Simulator

Start date: January 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Little is known about the causes and degree of cognitive dysfunction in patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), especially their driving abilities. The purpose of the study is to examine the cognitive skills of patients with COPD by using a driving simulator and to examine correlations to factors that may predict cognitive dysfunction in these patients.

NCT ID: NCT02722551 Withdrawn - Clinical trials for Mitral Valve Regurgitation

CardiAQ-Edwards™ Transcatheter Mitral Valve Replacement (TMVR) Study

RELIEF
Start date: November 2016
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Clinical study to evaluate the safety and performance of the CardiAQ-Edwards™ Transcatheter Mitral Valve

NCT ID: NCT02673450 Withdrawn - Delirium Clinical Trials

PER3 Clock Gene Polymorphism, Clock Gene Expression and Delirium in the Intensive Care Unit.

Start date: September 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This study investigates a possible relationship between disturbance of the cyclic expression of ten different clock genes and development of delirium in patients admitted to an intensive care unit It also investigates a possible relationship between disturbance of the cyclic expression of melatonin and development of delirium in patients admitted to an intensive care unit. Finally a possible relationship between genetic differences in the PER3 gene and development of delirium is investigated.

NCT ID: NCT02620111 Withdrawn - Elderly Clinical Trials

Protein Balance in Protein Supplemented Elderly Patients: Acute Study With Protein-tracer-techniques

Start date: June 2015
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this study is to investigate potential protein synthesis effects of whey protein high in leucine compared to whey protein with normal leucin content in elderly patients in a acute crossover setting. We will use the method of a 2 X 3 h tracer infusing protocol with 15Nphenylalanine along with blood samples and muscle biopsies.

NCT ID: NCT02531139 Withdrawn - Anesthesia Clinical Trials

The Effect of Blood Pressure on Cerebral Perfusion During Vascular Surgery

Start date: March 1, 2017
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Anesthesia reduces blood pressure and cerebral blood flow is normally considered to be maintained despite marked changes in blood pressure. Vascular surgical patients are often elderly, have high blood pressure and atherosclerosis and in these patients cerebral blood flow may decrease if blood pressure is reduced during anesthesia. The purpose of this study is to assess the effect of blood pressure for preservation of cerebral blood flow during anesthesia in vascular surgery. The hypothesis is that in vascular surgical patients, during anesthesia, cerebral blood flow is higher with blood pressure maintained at a higher level than that used in normal clinical practice.

NCT ID: NCT02490722 Withdrawn - Low Back Pain Clinical Trials

Effect of Patient Education on Functions in Patients With Non-specific and/or Degenerative Low Back Pain

Start date: January 2016
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of this study is to investigate effects of interdisciplinary group based patient education in patients with low back pain. The patients will be recruited to four group based patient education lessons during a two months period. The study is a randomized controlled trial and the patients will be randomized to standard treatment or standard treatment and patient education. The patient education will be led by physiotherapists, nurses and physicians. The outcomes are functions, pain, quality of life, self-efficacy, and depression. The data are reported in questionnaires.

NCT ID: NCT02459808 Withdrawn - Constipation Clinical Trials

Gastrointestinal Transit Time in Patients With Guillain-Barré Syndrome

Start date: May 2015
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

Constipation is a common condition among patients with Guillain-Barré Syndrome. It is believed, that the constipation is caused by autonomic neuropathy. However, the severity of the constipation, and its relation to autonomic function have not previously been studied.
