There are about 11304 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Denmark. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Surgery is a primary treatment modality in the intended curative treatment of colorectal liver metastases (CRLM). However, surgery elicits a cascade of potentially detrimental stress responses that may drive the onset of long-term disease progression. Exercise training is emerging as an adjunct treatment in surgical oncology and holds potential to modify the surgical stress response. Against this background, we designed the present randomized controlled trial to evaluate the therapeutic role of pre- and postoperative exercise training in patients with CRLM undergoing open liver resection.
Small bowel obstruction (SBO) is a common and potentially life-threatening acute surgical condition. A minority of patients present with a clear indication for urgent surgical intervention, either on the basis of clinical or radiological assessment (clinical signs of peritonitis/sepsis; suspicion of bowel ischaemia; closed loop obstructions; irreducible herniae etc.). However, the optimal management of the remaining patients, the majority of whom present with SBO caused by abdominal adhesions, remains a topic of international debate with practice varying in different healthcare systems. This multicentre, prospective, observational study aims to describe the current management of patients admitted with SBO in 6 acute hospitals (Bispebjerg, Herlev, Hillerød, Hvidovre, Køge, Slagelse) on the island of Sjælland, Denmark, which accounts for a 1/3 of the total Danish population.
The goal of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of pembrolizumab plus belzutifan plus lenvatinib or pembrolizumab/quavonlimab plus lenvatinib versus pembrolizumab plus lenvatinib as first-line treatment in participants with advanced clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC). The primary hypotheses are (1) pembrolizumab plus belzutifan plus lenvatinib is superior to pembrolizumab plus lenvatinib with respect to progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS), in advanced ccRCC participants; and (2) pembrolizumab/quavonlimab plus lenvatinib is superior to pembrolizumab plus lenvatinib with respect to PFS and OS, in advanced ccRCC participants.
The objective of this study is to assess the efficacy and safety of the combination of alpelisib and olaparib compared with single agent cytotoxic chemotherapy in patients with platinum resistant or refractory high-grade serous ovarian cancer, with no germline BRCA mutation detected.
Aiming at improving clinical practice regarding the use of lisdexamfetamine for the treatment of ADHD in children, the investigators want to retrospectively map the clinical use of lisdexamfetamine at a specialised outpatient clinic located at Aarhus University Hospital, Denmark treating children aged 7-13 with Attention Deficit Disorders in the period from 2013 to 2019. The investigators will describe the changes in prescription practice in the period, reported side effects and reasons for selecting and discontinuing treatment with lisdexamfetamine.
Leaders in organizations must handle organizational complexity and adversity as part of their position and profession. Work-related risk exposure is associated with perceived stress, low engagement, and mental health issues. However, not all leaders exposed to risk experience adverse outcomes, and one possible explanation might be their psychological ability to adapt to the organizational turbulence. Engaged and Resilient is a research project for leaders in private and public organizations. The overall objective is to improve human health and performance, more specifically, to promote psychological and mental health by enhancing the resilience capacities to face adversity and adapt to the organizational environment. The Engaged and Resilient intervention is a flexible training program for leaders implemented as a 20-week program on-site (adjusted due to Covid-19).
The purpose of this trial is to investigate the efficacy of standard care versus standard care combined with an early progressive exercise program in improving the function of the tendon and leg muscles after non-surgical treated Achilles tendon rupture
The main purpose of this study is to compare pembrolizumab/vibostolimab coformulation (MK-7684A) plus docetaxel or pembrolizumab/vibostolimab coformulation to normal saline placebo plus docetaxel. Participants with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and progressive disease (PD) after platinum doublet chemotherapy and treatment with one prior anti- programmed cell death 1 (PD-1)/ programmed cell death ligand 1(PD-L1) monoclonal antibody (mAb). MK-7684A is a coformulation product of pembrolizumab/vibostolimab. The dual primary hypotheses of the study are pembrolizumab/vibostolimab coformulation plus docetaxel and pembrolizumab/vibostolimab coformulation is superior to normal saline placebo plus docetaxel with respect to progression free survival (PFS) per Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors Version 1.1 (RECIST 1.1) by blinded independent central review (BICR).
The purpose of this trial is to generate clinical evidence on valve safety and performance of self-expanding (SE) versus balloon-expandable (BE) transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) in subjects with a small aortic annulus and symptomatic severe native aortic stenosis. Additionally, a stress echocardiography sub-study will be conducted as part of the SMART Trial at select sites. The purpose of the sub-study is to evaluate performance of SE versus BE TAVR in subjects with a small aortic annulus and symptomatic severe native aortic stenosis after undergoing exercise stress echocardiographic testing.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of 177Lu-PSMA-617 in combination with Standard of Care, versus Standard of Care alone, in adult male patients with mHSPC. In this study, the SoC is defined as a combination of Androgen Receptor Directed Therapy + Androgen Deprivation Therapy. Approximately 1126 patients will be randomized in this study. As of 31-Jan-2024, 1144 participants have been enrolled in 20 countries.
