There are about 11304 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Denmark. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Assessment of the association between the severity of COVID-19 and SARS-CoV-2 NAb titers levels for up to six months following primary infection using a live virus NAb assay. Description of SARS-CoV-2 viral shedding and infectiousness during the first 30 days after infection in a group of unvaccinated hospitalized patients.
To support the primary care sector in delivering high-quality Type 2-diabetes (T2D), literature reviews emphasize the need for implementing models of collaboration that in a simple and effective way facilitate clinical dialogue between general practitioners (GPs) and endocrinologists. The overall aim of the project is to study if an intervention consisting of structured cross-sectoral and virtual conferences between GPs and endocrinologists about T2D improves diabetes care and increases diabetes competencies and management in general practice. This aim will be studied in a pragmatic randomized controlled trial design. This potential is yet to be fully tapped because of methodological limitations. Studies have also not yet systematically evaluated virtual conferences in the context of chronic care using a high-quality research design.
This is an open-label, monotherapy study of pemigatinib in participants with recurrent glioblastoma (GBM) or other recurrent gliomas, circumscribed astrocytic gliomas, and glioneuronal and neuronal tumors with an activating FGFR1-3 mutation or fusion/rearrangement. This study consists of 2 cohorts, Cohorts A, and B, and will enroll approximately 82 participants into each cohort. Participants will receive pemigatinib 13.5 mg QD on a 2-week on-therapy and 1-week off-therapy schedule as long as they are receiving benefit and have not met any criteria for study withdrawal.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics (PK), and preliminary efficacy of KIN-3248, an oral small molecule FGFR inhibitor, in adults with advanced tumors harboring FGFR2 and/or FGFR3 gene alterations.
In this randomized controlled trial the investigators wish to investigate the effect of an oral neuromuscular training device (called IQoro) on swallowing function and time until decannulation from a tracheostomy tube, in patients admitted for neurorehabilitation due to a severe acquired brain injury.
Background: Transient ischemic attack (TIA) is defined as acute neurological symptoms of vascular origin, which resolves completely within 24 hours. However, emerging evidence indicates that up to 1/3 of patients is experiencing (non-focal) lasting symptoms, such as fatigue, depression, and anxiety. Aim: The aim of this study is to investigate self-reported lasting symptoms after TIA, timing of these symptoms as well as their potential resolution and characterize patients who have high risk for developing these symptoms. Method: This is a prospective cohort study which will include 350-400 patients with TIA from a single comprehensive stroke care center which serves the population in North Denmark Region, one of five administrative regions in Denmark (Stroke Unit, Aalborg University Hospital). Outcome measures include patient-reported outcomes collected at discharge, 3, 6 and 12 months and semi-structured interviews with a selected sample of patients. Perspective: This study will provide much needed insights into the development of lasting symptoms in patients with TIA in a cohort with presumed high external validity. Based on these results, a person-centered intervention will be designed to support the return to everyday life for patients with TIA.
Sexual wellbeing is an integral component of psychosocial and physical wellbeing. Cancer-related symptoms, treatment side-effects and psychosocial distress have significant impact on sexual well-being and sexual health. Within the framework of sexual wellbeing, sexual function is defined by a capacity to fully engage in all phases of the human sexual response cycle. Thus, sexual dysfunction is characterized by a disruption in one or more elements of the response cycle. Previous research shows that patients with hematologic malignancies and specifically patients following stem cell transplantation experience a high symptom burden and distinct genital alterations, and therefore in increased risk of sexual dysfunction. In spite of growing evidence documenting high prevalence of sexual dysfunction in cancer patients, patients with hematologic malignancies are underrepresented in clinical trials investigating their sexual health. This study aims to examine the sexual health in patients across hematologic malignancies in Denmark, and to investigate feasiblity and effect of a randomized multimodal intervention by providing nurse-led sexual consultations and physician-led preventive genital examinations, to enhance sexual function and early recognition of gential graft versus host disease in adult patients following hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Finally, the study aims to explore perspectives and experiences of patients following this multimodal intervention. This knowledge will entail new opportunities to detect subgroups of patients with distinct risk of sexual dysfunction, and potentially lead to targeted interventions in clinical practice toward this specific population. Moreover this will provide evidence with high methodological rigor and potentially strengthen the possibilities for evidence-based decision making in Denmark regarding preventive gential examinations during follow-up in patients following stem cell transplant.
This study is open to people with a type of cancer called dedifferentiated liposarcoma. People with advanced liposarcoma aged 18 or older who are not receiving any other cancer treatment can participate. The purpose of this study is to compare a medicine called brigimadlin (BI 907828) with doxorubicin in people with liposarcoma. Brigimadlin (BI 907828) is a so-called MDM2 inhibitor that is being developed to treat cancer. Doxorubicin is a medicine already used to treat cancer including liposarcoma. During the study, participants get either brigimadlin (BI 907828) or doxorubicin. Every 3 weeks, participants take brigimadlin (BI 907828) as tablets or doxorubicin as an infusion into a vein. Participants can switch to brigimadlin (BI 907828) treatment if they did not benefit from doxorubicin treatment. Participants can continue treatment in the study as long as they benefit from it and can tolerate it. Doctors regularly check the size of the tumour and check whether it has spread to other parts of the body. The doctors also regularly check participants' health and take note of any unwanted effects.
The study is intended to assess the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and efficacy of AZD7789 in patients with relapsed/refractory classical Hodgkin Lymphoma (r/r cHL).
This is a phase II trial, with the aim of developing a chemotherapy-free regimen for untreated patients with mantle cell lymphoma (MCL). Acalabrutinib (ACP-196) is a next generation bruton tyrosine kinase (BTK) inhibitor, more selective than ibrutinib, and without in vitro antagonism of anti-CD20 directed immunotherapies, indicating that its combination with rituximab may be more active than the combination of ibrutinib and rituximab. In this trial proposal, we will also assess the activity of this combination in comparison to a historical control of ibrutinib + rituximab, consisting of the experimental arm of ibrutinib + rituximab in the randomized ENRICH trial (EudraCT number 2015-000832-13), and data from our previous trial with R-bendamustine-lenalidomide (NLG-MCL4). The duration of treatment will be a minimum of 12 months. Patients in molecular remission in blood and bone marrow and in complete remission according to CT, will then stop acalabrutinib, but continue on rituximab for a maximum of 36 months. Patients that are minimal residual disease positive (MRD+) will be evaluated again every 6 months and continue on acalabrutinib for a maximum of 36 months. Patients without a molecular marker, that cannot be followed with MRD, will stop treatment if in CR with PET at 12 months, and be followed by PET-CT every 6 months for a maximum of 36 months. Patients who convert back to MRD positive after stopping acalabrutinib are reinstalled on acalabrutinib until progression. Patients with TP53 aberrations and/or blastoid histology, will monitor MRD but continue with treatment until progression regardless of MRD results. A planned interim analysis will be performed when 40 patients have undergone response assessment after 6 months, for futility and efficacy. If less than 16 of 40 patients obtain a CR, the trial will be stopped due to futility.
