The purpose of this observational, prospective, non-interventional, multicenter, open-label, single arm study in Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) is to assess the treatment pattern of secukinumab in a flexible dosing regimen and decision influencing factors for flexible dosing in a real-world population over 2 years.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the immunogenicity, safety, and reactogenicity of the RSVPreF3 OA investigational vaccine in an immunocompromised (lung and renal transplant recipients) population and assess whether a second dose of the vaccine increases the immune response.
The present trial is an observational prospective trial. The aim of the present study is to analyse the recycling potential in endoscopy units in hospitals and outpatient facilities. For this purpose, waste is collected for four weeks each at four locations (two inpatient and two outpatient facilities). Questions such as quantity and quality of garbage will be addressed and compared between the different facilities.

The treatment of aortic aneurysms is today based on different indicators (diameters, lengths, angles, volumes of the arteries) measured on CT scan images. Several indicators are time consuming and complicatated to measure. They demand training and practice. Nurea is developing a software for automatic measurement of these indicators, PRAEVAorta® 2, to facilitate and assist the physician in his clinical routine. The purpose of this study is to compare the analysis realised by the software PRAEVAorta® 2 with the analysis realised by the healthcare professional on retrospective CT scan images. Contrasted and non-contrasted, pre-operation or post-operation CT scans from 50 patients will be analysed. The main objectif is to validate the accuracy of the software by demonstrating its adequacy to the standard method of analysis. The second objectives are the following: - Evaluate the security of the software PRAEVAorta® 2 - Evaluate the unanticipated risks related to the use of the software - Validate the accessory PRAEVAorta® Web We make the following assumption : 90% of the patients show 90% of adequacy to the healthcare professional analysis
The goal of this randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled multicenter study is to investigate whether the combination of food supplementation with Tonalin® and specific probiotics is a safe and effective add-on to first-line disease modifying treatment (DMT, interferon-beta derivatives as well as glatirameracetate and other glatirameroids) in relapsing remitting MS (RRMS). 100 patients will be randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio to receive either both food supplements for 48 weeks or to receive placebo in addition to their established first-line disease modifying treatment (DMT). The two randomized groups will be compared concerning the change in volume of T2-weighted hyperintense lesions from baseline to 48 weeks.
Intensive Care Unit Acquired Weakness (ICUAW) describes muscle weakness that occurs in around 40% of patients during an intensive care stay. The morbidity and mortality of these patients is significantly increased over a 5-year period. The aim of this study is to investigate the combined effect of early enteral high-protein nutrition and early muscle activation on muscle atrophy in critically ill patients. The study will include 40 patients (20 intervention, 20 observation) with requirement for enteral nutrition at time of inclusion. In the intervention group the maximum possible level of mobilization is carried out and muscles are activated twice a day using neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES). The nutrition plan of the intervention group is based on the applicable guidelines for intensive care medicine with exception of increased protein intake. The control group receives therapy without deviating from the standard according of the DGEM guideline. The study aims to show that the decrease in muscle mass is significantly less than in the control group (primary hypothesis) via ultrasound of the rectus femoris muscle and in case of given consent muscle biopsy. As secondary hypothesis it is examined whether the combination of early high protein intake and muscle activation improves muscle strength and endurance.
The goal of this observational study is to study the presence and consequences of malnutrition risk in hospitalized internal medicine patients. The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. How many patients are at risk of malnutrition at admission? 2. Is there a link between an existing malnutrition risk and nutrition therapy that the patients receive? 3. Is there a link between an existing malnutrition risk and clinical outcome (e.g. length of hospital stay, mortality, need for rehospitalization)? Participants will be screened for malnutrition risk at admission using a validated questionnaire (Nutritional Risk Screening 2002). All relevant data regarding hospital stay will be obtained from the clinical information system after discharge.
To improve accuracy and take out human error, Hippo Dx previously developed S.P.A.T., an automated skin prick test. Now, Hippo Dx will develop and evaluate a S.P.A.T. artificial intelligence (AI) medical software to support physicians in the read out of the test results from an automated skin prick test. In this study 700 images will be collected to develop the AI model, an additional 200 images will be collected to evaluate performance of the AI model. In a last independent cohort of 100 patients, performance of read-out by the physician will be compared with read out by the physician supported by the S.P.A.T. AI medical software. The primary endpoint is the accuracy of the maximal wheal size measurement by S.P.A.T. AI versus the maximal wheal size measurement by the physician. It is a prospective multicentric study that will include 1000 study participants from different countries.
The study medicine NNC0194-0499 is under development for non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) including non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). All participants will receive a single dose of 30 milligram (mg) of the study medicine. The study medicine will be given in the form of an injection of 0.6 millilitres in a skinfold of the thigh (subcutaneous). The study will last for up to 64 days. Women cannot take part if pregnant, breast-feeding or plan to get pregnant during the study period. Women who are able to become pregnant must use highly effective contraception and will be counselled on the use of contraception. Participants with impaired liver function will undergo an ultrasound of the belly and measurement of brain activity.
