There are about 25560 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in Germany. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Primary objective is to evaluate the neuroprotective effect of T-817MA on Tau protein phosphorylated at threonine 181 (p-tau 181) in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) compared with placebo in patients with a diagnosis of MCI due to AD or mild AD. Secondary objectives are: 1. To evaluate in patients on T-817MA and placebo: - cognitive function measured by the Clinical Dementia Rating Scale Sum of Boxes (CDR-sb) and working memory and attention domain as measured by the Cognitive Functional Composite (CFC). - AD-related biomarkers in CSF and plasma - imaging analysis using volumetric magnetic resonance imaging (vMRI) - alpha/theta ratio of the electroencephalogram (EEG) 2. To evaluate the safety of T-817MA by clinical laboratory tests and adverse events (AEs). 3. To evaluate the pharmacokinetics of T-817MA
Pre-market, single-arm, prospective, open-label, multi-center clinical trial aimed at assessing the safety and the performance of the Medyria TrackCath system in patients undergoing endovascular intervention.
This study is the follow-up of study IMCY-T1D 001 (EudraCT: 2016-003514-27, NCT03272269) in which patients with recent onset T1D have been treated with IMCY-0098 or placebo. At the end of the primary 6 month study, patients will be proposed to enter this follow-up study to evaluate up to 12 months (V3 - Week 48) the safety, the immune responses and the clinical parameters. The study involves a follow-up of 6 months after the end of the initial participation to the IMCY-T1D-001 study. Subjects will undergo visits at 24 weeks, 36 weeks and 48 weeks post first study product administration in study IMCY-T1D-001. For each patient, the study comprises a total of 3 visits occurring over a period of approximately 24 weeks (from study entry). The patients will undergo planned assessments and procedures as outlined in the table of study procedures.
The aim of the prospective study is to assess the feasibility of a screening and baseline measurement protocol that is planned for a main study (PRÄP-GO) in a collective of 30 patients ageing 70+ scheduled for elective surgery. Comprehensive geriatric assessment scores and modified Fried frailty phenotype component evaluation are performed in all patients at baseline before elective surgery. The assessment of cognitive tests is conducted with a battery of neuropsychological tests, computer-based tests from the Cambridge Neuropsychological Test Automated Battery [CANTAB®] and non-computer based tests. Frailty scores from 0 to 5 (i.e., 1 point for each component; 0 = best to 5 = worst) represent robust (0), pre-frail (1-2), and frail (3-5) health status. 10 patients without Frailty, 10 patients with Pre-Frailty and 10 patients with Frailty should be analyzed in this study and receive further comprehensive geriatric assessment testing up to seven days after surgery/discharge (before 7 postoperative days).
This study is an international, multicenter, open-label, single arm, prospective clinical trial and will evaluate the efficacy of prophylactic emicizumab administered on a scheduled basis to prevent bleeds in patients with acquired hemophilia A (AHA).
This study will be a multicenter, international, randomized, vehicle-controlled, parallel-group, double-blinded study. Subjects who are eligible to participate with a confirmed diagnosis of Distal Subungual onychomycosis (DSO) of the toenail will be randomized and participate in one of the following treatment groups: BB2603-1: 0.01% terbinafine/0.03% polyhexanide formulation, or BB2603-3: 0.03% terbinafine/0.09% polyhexanide formulation, or BB2603-10: 0.1% terbinafine/0.3% polyhexanide formulation, or Vehicle: 0.3% polyhexanide/20% ethanol/water formulation. The subject in each treatment group will be treated twice daily (BID) for 12 weeks and then complete a 28-day post-treatment visit.
This is a randomized, double-blind placebo-controlled multicenter phase 3 trial to evaluate the efficacy and safety of ARGX-113 in participants with primary ITP.
Cerus Endovascular is sponsoring a prospective, single arm, multi-center study to document the safety and performance of Neqstent in adjunctive therapy. The purpose of the study is to document safety and performance of the Neqstent in adjunctive therapy in treatment for patients with intracranial aneurysms (IA).
The study will look at how two different forms of semaglutide reach and stay in the blood after injection. None of the two forms of semaglutide have been approved by the authorities to treat obesity, but it has been approved as a treatment for diabetes mellitus. Participants will get 1 of the 2 forms of semaglutide - which one is decided by chance. Participants will get the medicine as an injection under the skin of the belly using a pen-injector. The type of pen-injector is different for the two forms of semaglutide. The study staff will teach participants how to inject the medicine. Participants will take an injection once a week and will get a total of 21 injections of study medication. The study will last for about 27-30 weeks. Participants will have 25 study visits with the study doctor. For 2 of the visits, participants will stay in the clinic for 3 days and 2 nights. Participants may have to stop the study if the study doctor thinks that there are risks for their health. Women cannot take part if they are pregnant, breast-feeding or planning to become pregnant during the study period.
When a parent with minor children falls ill with cancer, it is extremely stressful for all of the family members, including the partner and children. Familiar everyday routines are often disrupted even at an early stage, and for a prolonged period. Financial difficulties, the threat represented by the uncertain course of the disease, and worries about the children's future have a cumulative effect. The affected families are thereby pushed to their limits organizationally and emotionally. The burden involved tends to be underestimated, and secondary psychological conditions often develop among all the family members. They often do not have adequate access to support. The aim of this project is to establish a care management system that provides support for families with underage children in which one parent is seriously ill. In order to reduce the burden on families, "family SCOUTS" are to be used who can provide advice and information at an early stage. They are intended to encourage families to discuss things openly, and they should also facilitate access to all the support services available. The project will evaluate whether the use of family SCOUTS reduces the burden on the family in comparison with families who do not have a family SCOUT. For this purpose, investigations will be carried out before and after the family SCOUTS are deployed. Standardized questionnaires, interviews, and routine data from the participating health-insurance companies will provide the basic data.
