NCT ID: NCT06408883 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Chronic Functional Constipation

Effect of Vibration Capsule on Different Subtypes of Functional Constipation

Start date: June 1, 2024
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

This study is a multi-center prospective cohort study, which plans to include 600 patients with chronic functional constipation to treat with Vibrabot capsules and patients will be grouped according to subtypes. During the study, the patients' basic information, baseline constipation status and treatment information, capsule intake during treatment, and concomitant medication will be collected. During the treatment phase, patients follow the doctor's advice to receive Vibrabot capsule treatment and maintain stable dietary intake and exercise according to the constipation diagnosis and treatment guidelines. During the study, patients need to fill in the relevant information during the treatment in the electronic questionnaire in a timely and truthful manner. The treatment effect of the patients is evaluated by assessing the number of occurrences of spontaneous bowel movements (SBM) and complete spontaneous bowel movements (CSBM).

NCT ID: NCT06407518 Not yet recruiting - Anxiety Clinical Trials

Preoperative Oral Midazolam to Postoperative Pain Relief in Sleep Disturbance or Anxiety Patients With Colorectal Cancer

POMPPR
Start date: June 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Previous studies have indicated a high incidence of sleep disturbances and anxiety symptoms in individuals with colorectal cancers prior to undergoing surgery, leading to worsened postoperative pain, slower recovery, and higher risk of chronic pain. The enhancement of sleep quality is intricately linked to reducing stress. Preoperative drugs that combine hypnosis and anti-anxiety have not been studied in colorectal cancer patients. Midazolam oral solution is safe and effective for short-term hypnotic and anti-anxiety effects in clinical preoperative settings. In the current randomized controlled clinical trial, 280 patients experiencing sleep disturbance or anxiety prior to colorectal cancer surgery will receive midazolam solution to assess its potential efficacy in reducing postoperative pain, expediting recovery, and decreasing the likelihood of chronic pain. Additionally, the study aims to explore the potential connections between midazolam administration and reductions in stress and inflammation.

NCT ID: NCT06406842 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Carotid Endarterectomy

Association Between Local Cerebral Oxygenation Monitoring and Postoperative Stroke in Carotid Endarterectomy

Start date: May 15, 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Carotid endarterectomy (CEA) is used to treat symptomatic extracranial internal carotid artery stenosis. The occult stroke of CEA patients evaluated by magnetic resonance imaging 3 days after operation was as high as 17%. Cerebral blood flow autoregulation (CA) is the ability of the brain to maintain the relative stability of cerebral blood flow, and cerebral oxygen index (Cox) can be used to reflect CA. A negative value of cerebral oxygen index or a value near zero indicates that CA is complete, and cerebral oxygen index close to 1 indicates that CA has lost its ability. In theory, real-time monitoring of CA function by cerebral oxygen index and individualized management strategy with this goal can potentially reduce perioperative ischemic brain injury. The purpose of this study is to explore the influence of the management strategy of monitoring CA function based on regional cerebral oxygen saturation on the postoperative neurological complications of CEA patients.

NCT ID: NCT06406062 Not yet recruiting - Adenoma Colon Polyp Clinical Trials

Artificial Intelligence-assisted System in Colonoscopy

Start date: May 20, 2024
Phase:
Study type: Observational

In recent years, computer-aided diagnosis system based on artificial intelligence (AI) has been used in colorectal polyp detection. In recent years, computer-aided diagnosis system based on artificial intelligence (AI) has been used in colorectal polyp detection. However, whether AI-assisted can improve the adenoma-detection rate (ADR) is inconclusive. This study aims to evaluate the real-world performance of an AI system that combines polyp detection with colonoscopy quality control. This study aims to explore the clinical application value of AI-based polyp detection and quality control function by comparing the data of polyp detection rate and adenoma detection rate in multiple centers with and without AI-assisted colonoscopy in a multicenter, prospective real world study.
