Study of Sacituzumab Govitecan Versus Treatment of Physician's Choice in Patients With Hormone Receptor-positive/Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 Negative (HR+/HER2-) Metastatic Breast Cancer Who Have Received Endocrine Therapy

ASCENT-07
Start date: May 8, 2023
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this clinical study is to see if sacituzumab govitecan-hziy (SG) can improve life spans of people with HR+/HER2- metastatic breast cancer and their tumor does not grow or spread when compared to currently available standard treatments, such as paclitaxel, nab-paclitaxel or capecitabine. The primary objective is to compare the effect of SG relative to the treatment of physician's choice (TPC) on progression-free survival (PFS).

NCT ID: NCT05838209 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Periodontal Diseases

Effect of Ozone Oil After Non-surgical Periodontal Treatment

Start date: April 5, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this clinical trial is to evaluate the use of ozone oil as an adjunctive of non-surgical periodontal treatment (NSPT) on diabetics type 2 patients (DM2) compared to control group with chronic periodontal disease. The principal question is to evaluate if the ozone oil could improve periodontal clinical parameters. Thirty-two sites of 16 diabetics type 2 patients (DM2) with moderate to advanced periodontal disease containing two sites with periodontal pocket depth (PPD) of > 5 mm were selected. The treatment was distributed in 2 groups in the split mouth design: Control- scaling and root planing + saline solution (control) and Test - scaling and root planning + ozone oil

NCT ID: NCT05835401 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Cardiovascular Abnormalities

Effects of Dietary Nitrate Intake on Cardiovascular Performance in Response to Hand Grip Test in Bodybuilders

Start date: April 17, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Through a randomized, crossover, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial, 20 bodybuilders will participate a acute-day trial with two intervention protocols: 1) placebo and 2) nitrate; in which will ingest beet juice with or without NO3 in its composition with a 7-day washout interval.

SLE
Start date: March 14, 2024
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

A Study to evaluate the PK, PD, efficacy, and safety of Anifrolumab in children with moderate to severe active SLE

NCT ID: NCT05834738 Recruiting - IgA Nephropathy Clinical Trials

Randomized, Double-blind, Placebo-controlled, Crossover Study of Atrasentan in Subjects With IgA Nephropathy

ASSIST
Start date: July 20, 2023
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The ASSIST study is a phase 2, double-blind, placebo-controlled crossover study to evaluate the safety and efficacy of atrasentan vs. placebo in subjects with IgA nephropathy (IgAN) while on background standard of care therapy and an SGLT2 inhibitor (SGLT2i).

NCT ID: NCT05833997 Recruiting - Bladder Cancer Clinical Trials

Safety Analysis and Oncological Outcomes in HoLERT vs TURBT

Start date: December 10, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Bladder urothelial cancer is the second most common urologic tumor and represents a worldwide public health problem. Most cases are diagnosed as non-muscle invasive tumors, and can be treated with transurethral resection of bladder tumor (TURBT). However, the electrical energy-based TURBT fragments the tumor, burning it to its own muscular layer leading to artifacts that may spoil the histopathological analysis, resulting in understaging after the first TURBT ranging from 30-64%, depending on the presence of detrusor muscle. Modern laser technologies have been emerging as an alternative to classical TURB using en bloc tumor resection technique (ERBT). Therefore, the laser is applied on tumor's pedicle to resect the whole and intact tumor without fragmentation or fulguration as occurs in TURBT. The purpose of using laser if to improve the resection quality, decrease intra and perioperative complications, avoid re-TURBT and reduce recurrence rates at the resection site and in distant sites. Thus, the purpose of this study is to evaluate Laser Holmium use for large tumors resection (>3cm), reducing complications, costs, and the need for new approaches, and improving the muscle layers samples.

NCT ID: NCT05833607 Recruiting - Septic Shock Clinical Trials

Effects of Targets of Blood Pressure on Cerebral Hemodynamics in Septic Shock

Start date: July 7, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The sudy objective is to evaluate the cerebral haemodynamic status in different ranges of systemic arterial pressure in patients with septic shock by noninvasive tools, transcranial doppler and intracranial compliance by mechanical sensor (B4C). Patients participating in the study will be submitted to different levels of arterial pressure, titrated with vasopressor and them their cerebral hemodynamic variables will be evaluated,

NCT ID: NCT05830344 Recruiting - Knee Pain Chronic Clinical Trials

Effects of Multi Radiance Medical® Super Pulsed Laser on Chronic Knee Pain

Start date: April 27, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Knee pain is among the most common reasons for musculoskeletal pain consultations, accounting for nearly 4 million primary care visits annually. Knee pain can have different causes such as, tendinopathies, synovitis, bursitis, trauma, etc. Considering the importance and high incidence of musculoskeletal disorders that affect the knee joint, a variety of therapeutic modalities has been employed to alleviate pain and repair the tissue. Among these conservative treatments, photobiomodulation therapy (PBMT) has been shown to stimulate tendon and ligament healing, and decrease the pain. Therefore, the aim of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the Multi Radiance Medical® Super Pulsed Laser, manufactured by Multi Radiance Medical®, for adjunctive use in providing temporary relief of chronic knee pain of musculoskeletal origin.

NCT ID: NCT05827016 Recruiting - Multiple Myeloma Clinical Trials

Start date: June 22, 2023
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to compare the effectiveness of iberdomide maintenance to lenalidomide maintenance therapy after autologous stem cell transplantation (ASCT) in participants with newly diagnosed multiple myeloma (NDMM).

NCT ID: NCT05824806 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Osteoarthritis, Knee

Knee Osteoarthritis Treatment With Platelet-rich Plasma

Start date: August 2024
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

Knee osteoarthritis (KOA) is a disease characterized by cartilage degeneration, synovium inflammation, bone remodeling, osteophyte formation, inflammations and loss of articular function. Interest on biological therapies has increased due to the recent update on KOA and its natural history. Viscosupplementation with hyaluronic acid aims to restore rheological properties of synovial fluid. Platelet rich plasma (PRP) is an autologous blood product which contains an elevated platelet concentration above the one found in blood. The goal of this study is to compare the clinical results of intra articular infiltration of hyaluronic and platelet rich plasma in the treatment of KOA, and to establish a protocol for PRP obtaining and prepare. Patients form the OA treating program will be selected and randomized into three groups (treatment with hyaluronic acid or onte of the two PRP protocols, PRP A and PRP B). Evaluation will include: subjective functional evaluation, clinical evaluation, radiological evaluation and radiological evaluation, which will be performed before treatment and 3 weeks, 3 months, 6 months and 1 year after treatment. Evaluation of PRP composition will be performed using ELISA/LUMINEX. Key words: Knee, osteoarthritis, platelet rich plasma, viscosupplementation.
