NCT ID: NCT03510897 Terminated - Cardiac Surgery Clinical Trials

QPI-1002 Phase 3 for Prevention of Major Adverse Kidney Events (MAKE) in Subjects at High Risk for AKI Following Cardiac Surgery

Start date: June 29, 2018
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

This trial is designed to evaluate QPI-1002 versus placebo for the prevention of Major Adverse Kidney Events (MAKE) in subjects at high risk for acute kidney injury following cardiac surgery. Half of the participants will receive QPI-1002 while the other half will receive placebo.

NCT ID: NCT03509207 Terminated - Leiomyosarcoma Clinical Trials

Vorinostat (SAHA) in Uterine Sarcoma

Start date: December 14, 2017
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Uterine sarcomas are rare tumors with a poor prognosis. The main purpose of this phase II proof-of-principle- pilot study is to test the efficacy of the hydroxamic acid-based Histone deacetylase inhibitor (HDACI) Vorinostat (SAHA) as monotherapy in patients with HDAC-positive, progressive, metastatic uterine sarcomas and mixed epithelial and mesenchymal tumors after prior anti-proliferative therapy.

NCT ID: NCT03504410 Terminated - Clinical trials for Relapsed/Refractory Acute Myeloid Leukemia

Efficacy/Safety of CPI-613 in Combination With HD Cyt. and Mito. vs HD Cyt. and Mito. in Older Patients With R/R AML

Start date: November 12, 2018
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

A Phase III study to evaluate the safety and efficacy of CPI-613® (devimistat) in combination with High Dose Cytarabine and Mitoxantrone in comparison with high dose Cytarabine and Mitoxantrone and control sub-groups: combination of Mitoxantrone, Etoposide and Cytarabine (MEC) and combination of Fludarabine, Cytarabine, and Filgrastim (FLAG) in older patients with relapsed/refractory Acute Myeloid Leukemia. CPI-613® (devimistat) targets the altered energy metabolism and processes for production of ATP and essential bio-intermediates unique to and characteristic of most cancer cell types. The addition of CPI-613® (devimistat) to high dose cytarabine and mitoxantrone (CHAM) will improve the complete remission (CR) rate in patients 50 years or older with relapsed or refractory AML when compared to HAM alone or other control sub groups.

NCT ID: NCT03490331 Terminated - Clinical trials for Junctional Epidermolysis Bullosa

Clinical Trial to Assess Safety and Efficacy of Autologous Cultured Epidermal Grafts Containing Epidermal Stem Cells Genetically Modified in Patients With JEB (HOLOGENE17)

HOLOGENE17
Start date: March 19, 2018
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Prospective open-label, uncontrolled clinical study to assess the safety and efficacy of autologous cultured epidermal grafts containing epidermal stem cells genetically modified with the aid of a gamma-retroviral vector carrying COL17A1 complementary DNA (cDNA) for restoration of the epidermis in patients with junctional epidermolysis bullosa. The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the safety and efficacy after one or more treatments with genetically corrected cultured epidermal autograft (Hologene 17) in patients suffering of junctional epidermolysis bullosa (JEB) with COL17A1 mutation.

NCT ID: NCT03472833 Terminated - Quality of Life Clinical Trials

High-dose Vitamin D3 in Pancreas Cancer

VITdCUT
Start date: April 1, 2018
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

Different studies have shown that a deficiency in vitamin D (≤20ng/mL) results in higher rates in morbidity and mortality rates in cancer patients. Clinical studies investigated and demonstrated altered vitamin d tissue in pancreatic cancer. But there is no prospective study evaluating the beneficiary effects of oral supplementation of vitamin d in altered vitamin d tissue from pancreatic cancer. We want to examine the effect of a high dose vitamin D3 therapy vs. a standard base dose vitamin D3 therapy in pancreas cancer patients with a vitamin D deficiency. In case of benefit in our results we could implement vitamin D3 as a supportive standard therapy in pancreatic cancer patients.
