RATIONALE: Physical activity, diet, and counseling may help breast and colorectal cancer survivors to lose weight and improve their quality of life. PURPOSE: This phase II trial studies how well exercise, diet, and counseling work in improving physical activity and weight loss in overweight women who are breast and colorectal cancer survivors.
This trial studies the natural history of brain function, quality of life, and seizure control in patients with brain tumor who have undergone surgery. Learning about brain function, quality of life, and seizure control in patients with brain tumor who have undergone surgery may help doctors learn more about the disease and find better methods of treatment and on-going care.
RATIONALE: Monoclonal antibodies, such as rituximab, can block cancer growth in different ways. Some find cancer cells and help kill them or carry cancer-killing substances to them. Others interfere with the ability of cancer cells to grow and spread. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as methotrexate, vincristine sulfate, procarbazine hydrochloride, and cytarabine, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Radiation therapy uses high energy x rays to kill cancer cells. It is not yet know whether rituximab and combination chemotherapy are more effective when given with or without radiation therapy in treating patients with primary central nervous system lymphoma. PURPOSE: This randomized phase II trial studies how well giving rituximab and combination chemotherapy with or without radiation therapy works in treating patients with primary central nervous system lymphoma.
RATIONALE: Modafinil may help improve memory, attention, and fatigue caused by cancer treatment. PURPOSE: This phase II randomized trial studies how well modafinil works in treating children with memory and attention problems caused by cancer treatment for a brain tumor.
RATIONALE: Stereotactic radiosurgery may be able to send x-rays directly to the tumor and cause less damage to normal tissue. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x rays to kill tumor cells. It is not yet known whether stereotactic radiosurgery is more effective than whole-brain radiation therapy in treating patients with brain metastases that have been removed by surgery. PURPOSE: This randomized phase III trial studies how well stereotactic radiosurgery works compared to whole-brain radiation therapy in treating patients with brain metastases that have been removed by surgery.
RATIONALE: Radiation therapy uses high energy x-rays to kill tumor cells. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well avoiding the hippocampus during whole-brain radiation therapy works in treating patients with brain metastases.

RATIONALE: Mindful movement is a self-directed activity of mindfulness (intention, attention, and attitude) and physical movement. A mindful movement program may be effective in improving well-being in older women who are breast cancer survivors. PURPOSE: This randomized clinical trial is studying how well a mindful movement program works in improving quality of life in older female breast cancer survivors.
RATIONALE: Gathering information from older patients with newly diagnosed cancer may help doctors learn more about the risks of functional decline. PURPOSE: This studying is looking at the physical and mental health of older patients with newly diagnosed cancer.
