Trunk and Upper Extremities Program Effect in Decreasing Compensation Patterns in Unilateral Cerebral Palsy Children

The goal of this clinical trial is to test the effectiveness of a trunk and upper extremities exercise program. The main questions it aims to answer are: Whether the program decreases compensation patterns in unilateral cerebral palsy children Whether the program decreases pain in unilateral cerebral palsy children Whether the program improves bimanual ability in unilateral cerebral palsy children Participants will undertake and 8-week program exercise at home If there is a comparison group: Researchers will compare with the control group to see if this program decreases compensation patterns.

Examining the Effect of Eye Gaze Technology on Children With Cortical Visual Impairment

The goal of this study is to learn about eye gaze technology's use as an assessment and intervention of visual skills and the impact on occupational performance in children with cortical/cerebral visual impairment. The main questions the study aims to answer are: - Does the use of eye gaze technology with graded visual activities improve visual abilities: - Does an improvement in visual abilities improve occupational performance? - What are the factors that correlate with improved visual abilities? Participants will complete the Pre-test with Canadian Occupational Performance Measurement, Cortical Visual Impairment Range, Sensory Profile and Sensory Processing Checklist for Children with Visual Impairment. Then will participate in eye gaze technology activities using eye gaze software with graded visual games for 20 minutes per day for 4 weeks. Observations of positioning, head/eye position, sensory processing, and types of eye gaze activities used during the session. Pre test, daily and post test percentage scores on the eye gaze activities will be recorded. Then the child will complete post testing with the Canadian Occupational Performance Measurement and Cortical Visual Impairment Range.

Comparison of Massage Therapy and Tissue Flossing Technique

The purpose of the study is to compare massage therapy with tissue flossing technique in children with diplegic cerebral palsy. A randomized control trial would be conducted at helping hand for relief and development Quetta. The sample size is 56 calculated through G power. The participants would be divided into two interventional groups each having 28 participants. The study duration would be six weeks. Sampling technique applied would be convenient sampling for recruitment and group randomization via using envelop method. Tools used in this study are Goniometer, muscle length test and Functional Mobility scale. Data would be collected before and after 6 weeks of the application of interventions. Data analyzed through SPSS version 23.

Long Term Effects of Inspiratory Muscle Training in Cerebral Palsy

Background: Respiratory disease is one of the main causes of morbidity and mortality in adults with cerebral palsy (CP). Adequate pulmonary function is essential to prevent these health problems, however respiratory muscle training has not yet been studied in CP patients. The main objective of the study was to investigate the maintenance over time of improvements in respiratory parameters achieved with inspiratory muscle training (IMT). Methods: This was a controlled, randomised, double-blind trial and with allocation concealment performed on 27 institutionalized CP patients randomly distributed in 2 groups, "high intensity training group" (HIT) and "low intensity training group" (LIT). Participants followed a specific IMT program for 8 weeks, HIT workload was 40% of maximum inspiratory pressure (MIP) and LIT workload was 20% MIP. Once finished 8-week training period, CP patients continued their daily activities. Respiratory muscle strength and pulmonary function were measured pre-IMT, post-IMT, 4, 12 and 24 weeks after finishing IMT.

Use of Motor Rehabilitation Courses in Children With Cerebral Palsy

In 2022, the prevalence of Cerebral Palsy (CP) is 2.5 cases per 1000 live births. In France, 125,000 persons are affected by CP. Many treatments and therapies exist to reduce CP-related disorders, but CP remains uncurable. Motor Rehabilitation Courses (MRC) are one of those therapies used with children with CP. Their uses has not been studied in France yet. The aim of this survey is to find out about the use of motor rehabilitation courses for children with CP and, where appropriate, the content of these courses. This questionnaire will be used to determine the use and different types of MRS in which children participate.

Acceptability and Efficacy of GO MOVE

The goal of this clinical trial is to learn about the acceptability and efficacy of Go Move, a mobile website developed to assist youth with unilateral cerebral palsy and their caregivers with setting goals and selecting exercises and activities to meet the goals. The main question[s] it aims to answer are: - Is Go Move accepted by youth with unilateral cerebral palsy and their caregivers? - Does Go Move support goal attainment for youth with unilateral cerebral palsy? Participants will set up and participate in a goal-driven home program using the Go Move mobile website. Participants will spend 1 hour and 15 minutes per week for 6 weeks working on their home program and will complete pre-intervention and post-intervention assessments.
