Filter by:Patient with advanced liver cancer (cancer that has spread to other parts of the body) continues to receive the study drug (G-202) even though patient no longer meets the criteria to be a part of the main treatment study. Patient's cancer responded well to receiving G-202 in the main study and will receive G-202 at the same dose given in the main study.
The purpose of this protocol is to provide supervised and limited access to Therasphere® treatment for patients with primary liver cancer and chemotherapy refractory liver metastasis who cannot be treated by surgical removal of the affected part of the liver. Patient response to treatment and any side effects of Therasphere® treatment will be examined.
RATIONALE: Internal radiation therapy uses radioactive material placed directly into or near a tumor to kill tumor cells. Using radiolabeled glass beads to kill tumor cells may be effective treatment for liver cancer that cannot be removed by surgery. PURPOSE: To provide expanded access and study the side effects of yttrium Y 90 glass microspheres in treating patients with liver cancer that cannot be removed by surgery.
