This study will aim to demonstrate that implementation of a rapid, multidisciplinary supportive care program for patients receiving chemoradiotherapy who are deemed to be at high risk for hospitalization based on real-time pedometer data will reduce the rate of hospitalization during chemoradiotherapy or within four weeks of radiotherapy completion.
Phase II trial of AZD2014 in TSC1/2 mutated or TSC1/2 null GC patients as second-line chemotherapy
This is a non-randomized pauci-centre, open-label phase II study. The treatment will consist in a chemotherapy by FOLFOX and nab-paclitaxel following modalities determined in the Brown University Phase I study. In neoadjuvant setting : 3 months of treatment Main criteria of Withdraw of the treatment: in case of tumor progression, non acceptable toxicity, or patient decision. Post-operative treatment (for 6 additional cycles) is recommended, but will depend on the result of the neo-adjuvant treatment and the ability of patients to receive adjuvant chemotherapy based on tolerance of neo-adjuvant treatment and general post-operative condition (i.e. adjuvant treatment if no progression during neo-adjuvant chemotherapy, less than 80% of residual viable tumor compared to initial tumor volume, acceptable tolerance and post-operative PS 0 - 2). Adjuvant treatment must be initiated within 8 weeks post-operatively.
The goal of this study is to increase and improve Goals of Care discussions for advanced cancer patients by training medical oncologists to conduct these discussions. The investigators will evaluate the GoC discussion's effects on patient satisfaction, receipt of treatment in line with preferences, use of aggressive treatment, and oncologist communication skill.
The purpose of this study is to determine whether ASLAN001 has an effect in patients with recurrent or metastatic adenocarcinoma of the stomach, gastrooesophageal junction, or lower third of the oesophagus whose tumours over-express HER-1 and HER-2, or whose tumours are HER-2 gene-amplified. Maximum of 26 patients will participate in South Korea and the patients will be assigned to either group A or group B according to the results of tests done on tumor tissue obtained by biopsy to determine HER-1 and HER-2 status.
To determine the most efficacious of two combination regimens of sequential CPT-11 and MMC in patients with advanced and previously untreated esophageal and GE junction adenocarcinomas.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of selective COX-II inhibitor in patients with regionally disseminated stomach cancer treated by palliative resection (so called R1 or R2 gastrectomy).
The aim of the study is to evaluate whether subtotal gastrectomy without post-operative nasogastric decompression is better in terms of early post-operative bowel function and chest complication.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the efficacy of selective COX-II inhibitor in patients with curative resection performed for locally advanced stomach cancer.
