Filter by:This quantitative study assesses the effects of meditation and relaxation practices on the reduction of burnout and stress in veterinary care workers. Assessments at baseline will include the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS) and Maslach Burnout Toolkit, and the same questionnaires were collected in Week 8 and Week 16. The Google form questionnaire will ask the participant for their email address. The form will also include a question eliciting interest in participation in the 8-weeks Heartfulness Meditation program. The program will include tools that promote a heart-based nurturing environment focusing on relaxation, and tools to cope with burnout.
Coaching is a useful tool that uses positivity and goal directed behaviors to increase resiliency and reduce physician burnout. Objectives: Based on the principles of positive psychology, the objectives of the study are to improve early career pediatric surgeon (as defined by years 1-3 out of training) well- being, workplace satisfaction, decrease burnout and improve resiliency of both the coaches and early career pediatric surgeons.
This study plans to explore whether specially chosen relaxing music can help improve sleep, reduce stress, and prevent burnout in healthcare workers, many of whom are often sleep-deprived. The researchers will measure changes in brain activity, sleep patterns, and self-reported stress levels before, during, and after participants listen to this music. The novel approach includes using advanced brain scanning technology, sleep monitoring devices, and carefully selected music. Ultimately, the aim is to create a scientifically backed music intervention that can be used widely to help healthcare providers get better sleep and manage stress, potentially reducing burnout rates.
The aim of the study will be to test the efficacy of a novel online-delivered gamification-based intervention for the identification, development, and use of strengths in the workplace. The program will be addressed to young employees and will have the aim of boosting their well-being and performance.
The purpose of the study is to determine physical and mental health issues of U.K. embryologists related to their occupational characteristics, and how workplace fatigue and burnout may affect their quality of life, cynicism, interactions with patients, attention to detail, and lead to human error, the cause of the most severe IVF incidents that often make headlines and result in costly litigation. It will also correlate how the current manual workflows contribute to these health issues, and what measures can be taken to improve both working conditions and embryologists' health, and, therefore, improve patient care.
This study looks at school employees' mental health, well-being, and effectiveness before and after completing a professional development workshop. The participants' schools are offering the Cultivating Awareness and Resilience in Education (CARE) professional development workshop to all teachers, staff, and administrators. CARE will be presented in three in-person training sessions over two to three months during the school year. People who participate in CARE are asked to answer questions about their demographic information, mental health, well-being, and effectiveness before the workshop and two times after completing the workshop. This consent form provides the necessary information for people interested in answering these questions to make an informed decision. This consent form is not for the professional development workshop. Taking part in the workshop and questionnaires is optional. This study is being conducted because teachers, school staff, and children's mental health has declined since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. The investigators hope to use information collected in this study to tell schools, local public health officials, and state leaders how best to support teachers' mental health and well-being. There are minimal risks associated with this study. The greatest risk of this study is loss of confidentiality.
Better Together Physician Coaching ("Better Together", or "BT"), a 4-month, web-based positive psychology multimodal coaching program was built to decrease burnout in medical trainees. Here, the investigators seek to understand it's efficacy in male-identifying trainees at the University of Colorado - Aim 1: Implement Better Together in for male-identifying trainees in Graduate Medical Education at the University of Colorado. - Aim 2: Assess outcomes: primary: reduce burnout as measured by the Maslach Burnout Index (goal: 10% relative improvement), and secondary: self-compassion, imposter syndrome, flourishing and moral injury. - Aim 3: Advance the field of coaching in GME through innovation and dissemination of evidence-based approaches to GME trainee wellbeing.
Social work is a stressful occupation with social workers at high risk of job-related stress and burnout. Mindfulness has been evidenced as a promising approach for improving: recovery from stress; behavioural responses to stress; and resilience. The Mindfulness-based social work and self-care programme, a bespoke and innovative online mindfulness programme developed for frontline social workers, have been shown to be effective in improving aspects of psychological and general wellbeing among a social work population. The main aim of the study is to confirm the efficacy of this bespoke, innovative, 6-session Mindfulness Intervention for social workers (MBSWSC) in reducing social worker stress, feelings of burnout, anxiety, low mood and improving well-being. The study will also compare outcomes from the MBSWSC with a briefer, condensed 3 session mindfulness programme (MBSC). The findings of this study will serve to complement and confirm the findings of an initial RCT, but in a post-covid environment.

Mindfulness; It is the state of paying attention and being aware of what is happening right now. Mindfulness, includes noticing what is happening in the present moment and the way of meeting all that is noticed. The research will be conducted in a randomized controlled manner in order to determine the Effect of MBSR (Conscious Awareness Based Stress Reduction) Program on Anxiety, Work Related Emotional Burnout and Job Satisfaction in midwives. Data will be collected from midwives working at Gaziantep Cengiz Gökçek Gynecology and Childhood Hospital between September 1 and December 30, 2022. Midwives who agree to participate in the study and meet the criteria will be sent and asked to fill in web-based online questionnaires (Whatsapp) prepared by the researchers through Google Forms. As a pre-test, "Descriptive Information Form", "Beck Anxiety Scale (BAI)", "Work-Related Emotional Burnout Scale" and "Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale (MSQ) Short Form" will be administered to midwives in the experimental and control groups. After the stress reduction program based on mindfulness was applied online by the researcher to the experimental group, 2 sessions a week for 4 weeks (1 month), a total of 8 sessions; Post-test data will be obtained by re-applying the "Beck Anxiety Scale (BAS)", "Work-Related Emotional Burnout Scale" and "Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale (MSQ) Short Form" scale to the experimental group and simultaneously to the control group. The universe of the research will be composed of midwives working at Gaziantep Cengiz Gökçek Gynecology and Childhood Hospital on the relevant dates. The minimum number of individuals to be included in the sample of the study was determined by power analysis. Sample size when power analysis is done; Assuming that the method applied with 5% error level, bidirectional significance level, 95% confidence interval and 80% ability to represent the universe, would reduce the anxiety score averages (8.20±8.64) by 6 points, a total of 66 midwives (33 experimental, 33 control) calculated. A total of 80 midwives (40 experimental, 40 control) are planned to be included in the study, taking into account possible case losses (approximately 20%).
