This is a first-in-human Phase 1, single-arm, open-label, multicenter, multiple-dose, dose-escalation and dose-expansion study of ABL503 to evaluate the safety, tolerability, MTD and/or RP2D, PK, immunogenicity, preliminary antitumor activity, and the PD effect of ABL503 in subjects with any progressive locally advanced (unresectable) or metastatic solid tumors who are relapsed or refractory following the last line of treatment and have no available standard of care option. The MRI and artificial intelligence techniques developed in this study may improve the accuracy in diagnosing prostate cancer in the future using less invasive techniques than what is currently used.

Community-Based Model for Delivery of Antiretroviral Therapy in Cambodia

The community-based ART delivery (CAD) model will build on the existing framework to engage community action, operationalized in the current Global Fund-supported project. Community Action Workers (CAW), who are assigned to ART centers and conduct outreach work, are well-suited to administer CAD scheme. KHANA and the project partners all have implementation roles in the Global Fund-supported project and established working channels with the CAW. While the previous experiences suggest the CAD model's effectiveness, implementing it in Cambodia requires adaptation to its specific local context. The proposed project will be implemented as an implementation study in nine ART sites and supported by a concrete evaluation plan. KHANA Center for Population Health Research will lead the research component. The project has three strategic areas and corresponding deliverables as follows: A. The development of a locally-fitted model: bringing ART closer to the people living with HIV B. The research: formulation, evaluation, documentation, and dissemination of the evidence, knowledge, and lessons learned C. The scale-up: advocacy for the SOP development to replicate/scale-up the CAD model The project will benefit a wide range of stakeholders. The approximately 2,000 ART clients enrolled in the nine selected clinics will face less cost, time, and discrimination, which will also benefit their families. The clinics will have a reduced workload on site, and they would be able to improve the quality of care for the visiting clients. The Cambodian health system will obtain a CAD model tailored to the country's local context and develop Standard Operating Procedures for the scheme with readily involved stakeholders. The scale-up of the model will benefit all other ART clinics and clients in the country. The 36-months project starting from June 1, 2019, will include six months of start-up and baseline assessments, 24-month intervention, and six-month evaluation.

Ophthalmic Manifestations of Patients With Mucopolysaccharidosis

Mucopolysaccharidosis (MPSs) are a group of disorders caused by inherited defects in lysosomal enzymes resulting in widespread intra- and extra-cellular accumulation of glycosaminoglycan(1,2). They have been subdivided according to enzyme defect and systemic manifestations and include MPS IH (Hurler)(3) , MPS IS (Scheie), MPS IH/S (Hurler/Sheie), MPS II(4,5) (Hunter), MPS III (Sanfilippo)(6) , MPS IV (Morquio)(7,8), MPS VI (Maroteaux-Lamy)(9), MPS VII (Sly)(10,11) and MPS IX (Natowicz)(12). Mucopolysaccharidosis have a spectrum of systemic manifestations, including airway and respiratory compromise, skeletal deformities, intellectual and neurological impairment, cardiac abnormalities, gastrointestinal problems and ocular manifestations(13). Ocular manifestation are common in the mucopolysaccharidosis and may result in significant visual impairment(14). Corneal opacification of varying severity is frequently seen, as well as retinopathy, optic nerve swelling and atrophy, ocular hypertension, and glaucoma(14). New treatment modalities for the systemic manifestations of the mucopolysaccharidosis include bone marrow transplant and enzyme replacement therapy have resulted in an improved prognosis in many cases(15).

The primary objective of the study is to perform 2-year follow up with motor parameters evolution using instrumental assessments in patients with limb girdle muscular dystrophie, and to identify which motor parameters are sensitive to change. The secondary objectives of the study are: - to describe the changes of the parameters obtained from instrumental evaluations in comparison with the changes obtained from clinical assessments. - to characterize the muscular impairments, the biomechanical gait disorders, the standing postural control disorders, the biomechanical upper limb disorders in spatial exploration, the limitation of upper limb capacities, the fatigue, the endurance, the patients' participation to their activities and their quality of life, in comparison with a healthy paired population. - to highlight the relationships between muscular assessment parameters, biomechanical gait parameters, standing posture control and upper limb spatial exploration. - to highlight the relationships between data from instrumental assessments and data from clinical assessments. - to highlight the relationships between instrumental assessments data and clinical assessments data on one side, and features of patients (age, sex, duration since diagnosis, type of LGMD, rehabilitation in follow-up, sportive practices...) on the other side.

Ketamine vs Lidocaine in Traumatic Rib Fractures

Rib fractures continue to be a common occurrence in trauma patients of all ages. Traumatic rib fractures can cause severe pain in patients and lead to shallow breathing and further complications such as the need for mechanical ventilation, hospital or ventilator associated pneumonia, atelectasis, and acute respiratory distress syndrome. Effective multimodal pain management is needed to optimize a patient's respiratory status and can also play a role in early mobility, less pulmonary complications, shorter ICU and hospital length of stay, and decreased mortality. Current multimodal pain management options include opioids, muscle relaxants, gabapentin, acetaminophen, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, and various regional/neuraxial anesthesia techniques. Both ketamine and lidocaine infusions for pain control have also been shown in studies to be safe and effective, with the benefit of minimizing the use of opioids. However, there have been very few studies that have used ketamine or lidocaine infusions for pain control specifically in patients with traumatic rib fractures. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to evaluate ketamine versus lidocaine infusions as an adjunctive therapy to reduce opioid consumption in the first 72 hours in patients with multiple traumatic rib fractures.
