Standard Process Heart and Gut Health Study
The VOYAGER Study is an interventional, non-randomized, single-arm, dose escalation trial with the goal of determining the safety of TheraSphere PCa device in patients with clinically localized prostate cancer across US-based centers.
randomized controlled study measuring the effectiveness of Stigma focused intervention in patients suffering from Schizophrenia
This is a study to use glucarpidase prophylactically to treat methotrexate induced toxicities in lymphoma patients with cerebral involvement.
This is a prospective, randomized trial to evaluate the effectiveness of using educational modules accessed through a bedside tablet in patients newly diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes as an adjunct to *standard Children's Hospital- Molly Center diabetes education in comparison to *standard Children's Hospital- Molly Center diabetes education. (standard diabetes education consists of paper based reading material and nursing education).
Because the atherosclerosis process partly occur in the intercellular space of the vessel wall, the determination of the constitution of lipoproteins in the interstitial fluid may expand the knowledge about the atherosclerosis process and lead to a better understanding of what constitutes the increased risk of developing cardiovascular disease in patients with chronic diseases. The investigators hypothesize that the apoB-containing particles in T2D patients are more susceptible to be retained or consumed in the intercellular compartment, which in turn could be one explanation for the elevated risk of atherosclerosis. The investigators hypothesise that with the progression of chronic kidney disease this process is further increased. Patients undergoing dialysis are known to have a very high risk of cardiovascular disease. The investigators now want to study the cholesterol metabolism in interstitial fluid in subjects undergoing hemodialysis because of diabetic nephropathy and in subjects undergoing hemodialysis because of chronic kidney disease of other causes.
Individuals infected with HIV have a high risk of developing metabolic comorbidities not traditionally associated with the immune dysregulation and deficiency associated with HIV infection and AIDS. Many of these comorbidities in HIV uninfected individuals have been linked to a disordered circadian clock function. The study investigators will further evaluate the circadian clock in HIV infection as a mechanism underlying the metabolic dysregulation in this population.
This study proposes to assess the efficacy of Cosyntropin Injectable Suspension, 1 mg/mL compared to vigabatrin. Additionally, this study proposes to determine efficacy of combination therapy of Cosyntropin Injectable Suspension, 1 mg/mL and vigabatrin to monotherapy Cosyntropin Injectable Suspension, 1mg/mL in children with new onset infantile spasms (IS).
Children with chronic kidney failure often do not grow well. This study examines the possible causes of growth failure in these children and the response to recombinant human growth hormone. The growth hormone-insulin-like growth factor axis will be studied in relation to biochemical and immunological parameters as well as body compositional changes pre- and post recombinant human growth hormone therapy.
This study will examine whether transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) can be used to improve outcomes from exposure therapy for social anxiety disorder, and facilitate extinction of fear responding toward individuals outside one's own ethnic group (i.e., ethnic out-group members).
