Comparison of Chlorpromazine or Pentobarbital Premedications for Pediatric Imaging Procedures

PREIMAPED
Start date: April 30, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Sedation is often required for pediatric medical imaging procedures to ensure compliance and quality images. Recommendations exist regarding pediatric sedation, but there are currently no guidelines regarding the choice of the sedative drug. We aim to compare the efficacy and adverse events of per os pentobarbital with intravenous chlorpromazine in children undergoing diagnostic imaging procedures.

NCT ID: NCT04363060 Not yet recruiting - COVID-19 Pneumonia Clinical Trials

Azithromycin+Amoxicillin/Clavulanate vs Amoxicillin/Clavulanate in COVID19 Patients With Pneumonia in Non-intensive Unit

AziA
Start date: April 30, 2020
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The global pandemic of novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) began in Wuhan, China, in December 2019, and has since spread worldwide.1 As of April 14, 2020, there have been more than 1.5 million reported cases and 124 000 deaths in more than 200 countries. A recent open-label nonrandomized French study reporte that addition of azithromycin to hydroxychloroquine in 6 patients resulted in numerically superior viral clearance (6/6, 100%) compared with hydroxychloroquine monotherapy (8/14, 57%) or control (2/16, 12.5%). Azithromycin alone has never been tested, whereas azithromycin has immunomodulating and anti-inflammatory properties that could theoretically prevent or limit secondary worsening. Our hypothesis is that azithromycin combined with amoxicillin/clavulanate will be superior to amoxicillin/clavulanate alone to obtain viral clearance at Day 6 in COVID-19 patients with pneumonia and hospitalized in a non-intensive care unit ward.

NCT ID: NCT04372043 Not yet recruiting - Sleep Hygiene Clinical Trials

Evaluation of the Sleep Hygiene in the Lebanese Population During the COVID-19 Confinement Period.

Start date: April 30, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The term "sleep hygiene" refers to a series of healthy sleep habits that can improve the ability to fall asleep. These habits are the most effective long-term treatment for people with chronic insomnia. The "Sleep Hygiene Index" is a 13-item questionnaire that evaluates these habits. We are in the process of validation of this questionnaire in the arabic language. We will evaluate these habits in the Lebanese population during the COVID-19 confinement period.

NCT ID: NCT04441515 Not yet recruiting - Depressive Disorder Clinical Trials

Music After Stroke To Enhance Rehabilitation

MASTER
Start date: April 30, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Music that is familiar and preferred by patients has been shown to heighten neuroplasticity and can mitigate these disabilities. Therefore, this study seeks to explore the effect of providing patient preferred music to patients in the very early post stroke period (within 24 hours of a left cerebral artery stroke [LMCA]event) as a complementary modality to usual stroke care.

NCT ID: NCT04668222 Not yet recruiting - COVID19 Clinical Trials

Changing Susceptible Body Constitution for COVID-19 Prevention by Chinese Medicine in Hong Kong Residents

Start date: April 30, 2021
Phase: Phase 1/Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Chinese medicine has been used for thousands of years in the treatment of epidemic diseases. Through the long-term struggle with the epidemic, Investigators have accumulated and explored a lot of prevention and control experience. According to recent reports, Chinese medicine plays an important role in the treatment of COVID-19. For example. Therefore, it is of great clinical significance to further develop the prevention of COVID-19 by Chinese medicine. According to the 《Diagnosis and treatment of COVID-19》published by National Health Committee and the experience of professional TCM physician, although the disease is generally susceptible, individuals with the body constitution of "deficiency of Qi and Yang" and "deficiency of Qi and Yin" are more prefer to suffer from COVID-19. Therefore, "Invigorating Qi and Yang, invigorating qi and Yin" can be regarded as the primary strategy of preventing COVID-19. Therefore, "Invigorating Qi and Yang, invigorating qi and Yin" can be regarded as the primary strategy of preventing COVID-19 in Chinese medicine. After a series of questionnaire surveys and blood sample collection, investigators can estimate subjects with body constitution is more likely to infect COVID-19.

NCT ID: NCT04825938 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Salivary Gland Tumors

Neoadjuvant Toripalimab in Combination With Carboplatin and Nab-paclitaxel in Untreated Salivary Gland Malignant Neoplasms

Start date: April 30, 2021
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This proposed study will evaluate the efficacy and safety of preoperative administration Toripalimab combined with nab-paclitaxel and carboplatin in salivary gland malignant neoplasms who are about to undergo surgery.Monoclonal antibodies, such as Toripalimab , may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as carboplatin and nab-paclitaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. This trial will be helpful for comprehensive exploratory characterization of tumor immune microenvironment and circulating immune cells in these patients.
