The study aims to evaluate the accuracy and consistency of assessing trunk muscle strength using an isometric device (Pegasus, Leipzig, Germany). Thirty healthy volunteers will undergo maximal isometric strength testing with the device, repeated one week later to assess repeatability. Surface electrodes will measure muscle activation, while MRI scans will assess structural condition.
The research was planned to measure pain, ecchymosis, hematoma and patient satisfaction with ice massage applied to the fistula before the arteriovenous fistula procedure in hemodialysis patients. Patients who agree to participate in the study will be given ice massage before the procedure and the relevant parameters will be measured.
To handle daily life challenges, one needs to be psychologically resilient. It plays a crucial role in disease development, prognosis, as well as social, occupational, and community participation. Cardiovascular diseases cause physical and psychological stress, which can be linked to individual resilience and the development of such diseases. Stress can trigger TakoTsubo cardiomyopathy and acute coronary events. Individuals who have experienced TakoTsubo cardiomyopathy or an acute coronary event often feel stressed due to emotional or physical triggers. These triggers may include job loss or illness. In medical rehabilitation, therapists consider the individual circumstances of their patients when planning therapy. It may be important to add a special focus on psychological care, including building resilience, which could greatly benefit these individuals. Therefore, the study aims to investigate whether resilience training, as part of an inpatient multidisciplinary rehabilitation program, affects the individual resilience of rehabilitants with TakoTsubo cardiomyopathy or those who have experienced an acute coronary event.
The goals of this Pilot Trial are to test the preliminary efficacy of Problom-Solving Therapy (PST)-APPLE Watch in a 2-arm pilot Randomized Control Trial (RCT), vs education only-control to reduce alcohol use disorder symptoms and improve alcohol abstinence.
A Phase 1/2 Open label, multicenter, clinical trial of autologous CAR T-cell therapy targeting GPRC5D, in participants with relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma or relapsed/refractory primary plasma cell leukemia.
The DISRUPT-AF Registry is an observational, prospective, multi-center, non-randomized, real-world registry designed to obtain clinical experience with the Farapulse Pulsed Field Ablation System for the treatment of atrial fibrillation (AF).
Breech delivery is one of the mail topic in emergency obstetrics for Italian Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Formal frontal lecture and digital learning represent nowadays the two typical learning methods. A bedside evaluation it's not feasible due to rarity of such emergency, due to the common senior physicians involvement when it occurs, and due to medico-legal risks. Mannequin scenario represents the best way of skill evaluation
PASSAGE is a national multicenter retrospective and prospective observational cohort study in which patients who will undergo colorectal surgery will be enrolled.
This is an open-label, phase II study evaluating the efficacy and safety of SHR-A1811 alone or in combination with Adebrelimab in Stage II-III ER Positive/HER2 Low Breast Cancer. Subjects will receive the neoadjuvant therapy of SHR-A1811 alone or in combination with Adebrelimab for six cycles, and then undergo surgery within 4 weeks after neoadjuvant therapy. Efficacy will be assessed every 2 cycles.
Clinical simulation has recently acquired great importance in the health sciences. It is a pedagogical methodology that is increasingly used in health science degrees, since it is very useful for the acquisition of both technical and non-technical skills (leadership, teamwork and effective communication, among others). However, if the investigators focus on physical therapy, the use of clinical simulation is a novel field and therefore requires a great deal of research. Researchers in this field do not yet have the consistency and experience as in other health branches such as medicine or nursing, where the participants have been using high-fidelity simulators for years for the learning of all their students. Clinical simulation allows students to achieve these competencies without the need to practice on real patients. For all these reasons, and because of the situation of need generated in recent years, in which internships in hospitals and clinical centers were completely suppressed, the need for our research is justified.
