View clinical trials related to Atrial Fibrillation.
Filter by:Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common heart rhythm disorder seen in clinical practice, with an estimated 2.7-6.1 million people in the U.S. affected by the disorder [1]. Previous studies have demonstrated that left atrial volume is a predictive measure of incident atrial fibrillation [2]. This study aims to add to the literature by investigating predictive measures of left atrial global longitudinal strain (LA GLS) that would be suggestive of maintenance of normal sinus rhythm post cardioversion. If the investigators could gain insight on the connection between LA GLS and cardioversion among patients with atrial fibrillation, the investigators could potentially help the clinical management of patients pre/post cardioversion, and potentially change poor outcomes.
The objective of this clinical trial is to collect safety and effectiveness data for the TactiCathâ„¢ Contact Force Ablation Catheter, Sensor Enabledâ„¢ (TactiCath SE) in the APAC patient population for the treatment of drug refractory, symptomatic persistent atrial fibrillation when following standard electrophysiology mapping and radiofrequency (RF) ablation procedures.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of empirical posterior wall isolation (PWI), left atrial appendage electrical isolation (LAAEI) and coronary sinus isolation (CSI) when compared to pulmonary vein isolation (PVI) alone: - PVI alone, - PVI + PWI, - PVI + PWI + LAAEI, - PVI + PWI + LAAEI + CSI.
Assess the clinical safety and feasibility of MultiPulse Therapy (MPT) electrical stimulation waveform sequence in terminating paroxysmal and persistent atrial fibrillation.
Researchers are trying to determine whether arterial stiffness detected by ultrasound can predict outcomes in the development and recurrence of atrial fibrillation.
His bundle pacing has been proposed as a superior alternative to standard right ventricular pacing. The purpose of this study is to investigate whether obtaining a His Bundle recording from the subclavian vein using a stylet driven pacemaker lead and commercially available sheath can be done in a quick and reliable manner. This would support the use of stylet driven leads for His bundle pacing.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the diagnostic utility of BIOTRONIK's subcutaneous cardiac rhythm monitor for the detection of AF prior to an ablation procedure.
The pilot portion of this study is to determine the feasibility of utilizing AF CARE to provide lifestyle modification support to patients with atrial fibrillation (AF). The prospective, RCT portion of this study compare cardiovascular risk factors (CVRF), AF knowledge, AF Symptom Severity and Burden, and QOL between and within the wait list group and the AF CARE group at baseline, 3, 6, and 12 months.
The objective of this study is to determine whether bariatric surgery followed by Atrial Fibrillation (AF) catheter ablation is superior to AF catheter ablation alone in the management of atrial fibrillation in patients with morbid obesity.
This study is designed to investigate the role of lipids/lipoproteins as a potential cause for the harmful changes seen in fibrin clot properties with renal dysfunction and atrial fibrillation
