This is an early feasibility, non-randomized, open-label, single group, interventional study to be conducted in up to 20 US subjects to evaluate the technical feasibility of the Durablate Catheter and Thermedical Ablation System to eliminate or control sustained, monomorphic ventricular tachycardia (VT) in patients with VT refractory to drug and conventional catheter ablation with acceptable procedural safety.

All Inclusive KODEX - EPD™ Study Patient Specific Optimized Therapy (PSOT) Study

Prospective, multi-center, non-randomized, open label, single arm study. Consented subjects who are scheduled to undergo ablation due to arrhythmia will be enrolled in the study. Data will be collected from all subjects during the ablation procedure and post procedure for a period of 36 months. KODEX - EPD™ system will be used in all procedures during treatment of cardiac arrhythmias. Anonymized data will be stored in an EPD database and will be used to train and test predictors for personalized optimized therapy.

Reverse RAMP Pacing to Terminate Ventricular Tachycardia ( REV-RAMP)

Cardiac pacing which involved stimulating the heart electrically with electrical wires that go into the heart is routine practice in the diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm problems. Clinically this involved the fields of cardiac pacing and electrophysiology. Patients who are at risk of sudden death because of serious heart rhythms that are a result of malfunction of the electrical system of the pumping chambers of the heart (ventricles) are generally implanted with specialised pacemakers that can defibrillate (shock) the heart if a nasty life threatening rhythm should result. Shocks are painful and in order to try and treat these rhythms without shocks, anti tachycardia pacing is performed (this is routine part of the device), which aims to interrupt the rhythm by stimulating the heart electrically. This does not always work and can destabilise the rhythm leading to a shock. REVRAMP is a novel modification of anti tachycardia pacing which involved stimulating the heart through the defibrillator wires in a different way. It appears to work better and seems less likely to destabilise the heart rhythm, hence can reduce painful shocks.

This is an intersectional and interdisciplinary screening program in Viborg Municipality, including 67 years old citizens. This observational study will estimate the cost-effectiveness of a combined screening program for the following conditions: Abdominal aortic aneurysm, peripheral arterial disease, carotid plaque, hypertension, arrhythmia, and type-2-diabetes. Furthermore, the incidence of the outlined conditions will be described and so will the result of the intervention initiated (secondary medical prophylaxis, smoking cessation, introduction to nutritionally deficient diet etc.)

Empagliflozin Versus Placebo on the Rate of Arrhythmic Events in Heart Failure Patients

Empagliflozin treatment in high cardiovascular risk patients has been shown to have a relatively rapid powerful capability in reducing cardiovascular mortality. Among the suggested mechanisms mediating this effect of empagliflozin, anti-arrhythmic effect (AAE) has the highest potential to translate into a rapid clinical beneficial effect on cardiovascular mortality, while other mechanisms are known to have a lag in their clinical effect based on data from previous studies. Based on this assumption, the study driving hypothesis is that the effect of empagliflozin on the rate of cardiovascular death may be mediated by a direct effect on the risk for arrhythmic events (via a direct or an indirect effect on the myocardium). The current study aims at assessing the effect of empagliflozin on arrhythmias in diabetic patients with HF with reduced ejection fraction and relatively high arrhythmic burden. The objective of the current study is to demonstrate the effect of empagliflozin compared to placebo on the rate of ventricular arrhythmic events in type 2 diabetes patients with heart failure with reduced ejection fraction and high risk arrhythmic profile.

Arrhythmias in Post-Myocardial Infarction Patients

Patients are screened for significant arrhythmias and other possibly significant ECG-patterns directly after discharge and two weeks after myocardial infarction using wearable devices. The home monitoring data will be linked with extensive data from electronic health records collected before, during hospital stay and after discharge. The purpose of the study is to clarify whether home monitoring of continuous ECG-signals can be used to predict and prevent serious adverse events after myocardial infarction.
