NCT ID: NCT03835169 Completed - Clinical trials for Acute Coronary Syndrome

Intra Hospital Mortality Risk Factors in Patients Admitted to Cardiac Intensive Care Units in 2017 in France

USIC -BNAT
Start date: January 24, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Retrospective, observational cohort study. Objectives: To identify intra hospital mortality risk factors in patients admitted admitted to cardiac intensive care units (CICU). The clinical main endpoint will be the observed percentage of deaths that occured during the year 2017 in french CICU. To identify the length of stay key determiners of patients admitted in french CICU. The study will use data from one of the french nationwide healthcare systems database (SNDS) : the national hospital discharge database (PMSI) to be precise.

NCT ID: NCT03833089 Recruiting - Atrial Fibrillation Clinical Trials

Targeted Potassium Levels for Prevention of ICD Therapy

Start date: April 1, 2019
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

This study evaluates whether a rigorously controlled high-normal level of serum-potassium (4.5-5.0 mEq/L) using dietary recommendations, potassium supplements and mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists will results in a lower incidence of cardiac arrhythmias in patients with an ICD. Patients will be randomized to this treatment or a control arm, where patients will receive usual guideline recommended follow-up.

NCT ID: NCT03832959 Recruiting - Atrial Fibrillation Clinical Trials

Esophageal Damage Protection During Pulmonary Vein Ablation. Pilot Study.

Start date: March 11, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation with electrical isolation of the pulmonary veins in the left atrium carries risk of esophagus thermal lesion. EnsoETM is a device . This study evaluates the benefit of using the EnsoETM, a device device for esophageal temperature adjustments, during catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation. Half of participants will undergo esophageal temperature adjustment during pulmonary vein catheter ablation, while the other half will undergo catheter ablation with no esophageal temperature adjustment.

NCT ID: NCT03831516 Completed - Clinical trials for Ventricular Arrythmia

Non-Invasive 3D Mapping for Identifying Origin and Preferential Propagation of Ventricular Arrhythmias

Start date: January 4, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This study will measure the diagnostic sensitivity and specificity of the Medtronic CardioInsight wearable 252 electrode vest in predicting the chamber of origin of premature ventricular complexes (PVCs) and compare its diagnostic accuracy with the standard 12- lead ECG.

NCT ID: NCT03826225 Completed - Clinical trials for Arrhythmias, Cardiac

Cardiac Monitor Employee Study

CARMEL
Start date: March 7, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This purpose of this study is to collect ECG data from a wearable cardiac monitor in order to evaluate end-to-end performance of a cardiac monitor system and associated data management accessories.

NCT ID: NCT03818724 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Cardiovascular Diseases

Treatment Success With the CoolLoop Cryoablation System

Start date: January 17, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

This clinical study evaluates the safety and efficacy of the treatment with the CoolLoop® cryoablation System (sclerotherapy of muscle tissue of the heart by freezing) in patients with atrial fibrillation (permanent atrial fibrillation excepted) over a follow-up period of 36 months. A further aim of this study is to evaluate the average duration of procedure and fluoroscopy times.

NCT ID: NCT03793998 Recruiting - Cardiac Arrhythmias Clinical Trials

Catheter Ablation of Arrhythmias With High Density Mapping System in the Real World Practice.

CHARISMA
Start date: May 1, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The CHARISMA study is a non-randomized, multicenter, prospective study in which consecutive patients indicated for arrhythmia will be enrolled. Patients can be treated with any market released catheter for ablation and diagnostic examination. The decision to perform the ablation will be made based on clinical evaluation of the investigators according to their clinical practice. The study does not require specific surgical techniques. The study has been designed to describe the Italian clinical practice in relation to the ablation approach of different kind of arrhythmias. In particular, the investigators will analyze the percentage of acute and long-term success in clinical practice, predictors of arrhythmias recurrence and they will describe the methods for the validation of ablation success, the techniques adopted, and the patient management approaches in the participating centers

NCT ID: NCT03775954 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Congenital Heart Disease

Fetal Electrophysiologic Abnormalities in High-Risk Pregnancies Associated With Fetal Demise

Start date: July 1, 2018
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Each year world-wide, 2.5 million fetuses die unexpectedly in the last half of pregnancy, 25,000 in the United States, making fetal demise ten-times more common than Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. This study will apply a novel type of non-invasive monitoring, called fetal magnetocardiography (fMCG) used thus far to successfully evaluate fetal arrhythmias, in order to discover potential hidden electrophysiologic abnormalities that could lead to fetal demise in five high-risk pregnancy conditions associated with fetal demise.

NCT ID: NCT03769207 Completed - Atrial Fibrillation Clinical Trials

Evaluation of the Use of Apple Watch Features for Identification of Cardiac Arrhythmias

Start date: December 8, 2018
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This post-marketing study is conducted to characterize the ability of Apple Watch rhythm analysis software to identify Atrial Fibrillation (AF) and facilitate subsequent clinical evaluation among users who contact AppleCare.

NCT ID: NCT03752931 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Postoperative Cardiac Complication

Celiprolol Versus Ditiazem for the Prevention of Postoperative Cardiac Arrythmias in Thoracic Surgery

CelDilPreCA
Start date: December 2018
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Cardiac arrythmias are the most common cardiac complications after thoracic surgery. They are made primarily of postoperative atrial fibrillation (POAF). They are associated with an increased risk of stroke, increased length of hospital stay and cost of care, and increased long-term mortality. Randomized , single-blind prospective study in the anesthesia and intensive care department of Abderrahmen Mami hospital Ariana Tunisia comparing the efficacy of Diltiazem versus Celiprolol in the prevention of postoperative cardiac arrythmias in patients proposed for pneumonectomy and bilobectomy.
