NCT ID: NCT06403423 Enrolling by invitation - Quality of Life Clinical Trials

Screening for Aortic Aneurysms in Inland Norway

NOR-AORTA
Start date: May 14, 2024
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The number of AAA-surgeries performed per capita is 3-4 times higher in Innlandet county, as compared to Oslo. The last three years the annual incidence of AAA requiring treatment has been 21.5 / 100 000 inhabitants in Innlandet, as compared to 6.6 / 100 000 in Oslo. The indication for surgery is the same in both regions. In Oslo, a screening program was established in 2011, reporting a prevalence of AAA of 2.6 %, but in Innlandet county all AAA are either symptomatic or incidental findings and the prevalence is unknown. The aetiology of the major difference in AAA prevalence between these two regions has not been previously explored.

NCT ID: NCT06380595 Enrolling by invitation - Clinical trials for Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm

Complex EVAR in Inflammatory and Infective Abdominal and Thoracoabdominal Aortic Aneurysms

CEVARII
Start date: February 21, 2024
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Complex endovascular aortic repair in inflammatory and infective perivisceral abdominal aortic aneurysms and thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms (CEVARII) study is a collaborative international effort among vascular surgeons to establish a database on the global experience in the management of INAAs and IAAs. Ethical approval for the study was obtained from the Colorado Multiple Institutional Review Board (COMIRB) under protocol number 23-1533.

Evaluation of the GORE® Ascending Stent Graft

ARISEII
Start date: November 28, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The primary objective of ARISE II is to assess the safety and effectiveness of the GORE® Ascending Stent Graft device in the treatment of lesions involving the ascending aorta and aortic arch.

NCT ID: NCT05155956 Enrolling by invitation - Clinical trials for Thoracic Aortic Aneurysm

Cerebral Hemodynamics and Microemboli During Placement of Relay®Branch Thoracic Stent-Graft System

CHaMP
Start date: December 15, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This is an observational cohort study addressing the incidence of cerebral microemboli and alterations of cerebral hemodynamic physiology of the Relay®Branch thoracic stent-graft system.

Prospective Aortic Biobank of POP-STAR

Start date: November 18, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

The overall objective of the POP-STAR project is individualized surveillance for patients diagnosed with abdominal aortic aneurysms by means of more precise, patient-specific AAA growth prediction.

NCT ID: NCT04224051 Enrolling by invitation - Clinical trials for Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm

Metformin for Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Growth Inhibition

MAAAGI
Start date: February 12, 2020
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

A multi-centre population-based open-label randomized controlled trial with allocation concealment and blinded outcome assessment will examine if up to 2g metformin daily slows AAA growth in patients with small AAAs who do not have diabetes.

HAART Annuloplasty Device Valve Repair Registry

Start date: September 22, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

Multicenter US registry study to assess procedure success and long-term (10-year) performance of the HAART 200 and HAART 300 Aortic Annuloplasty Devices when used during aortic valve repair in a routine cardiovascular practice setting.

NCT ID: NCT03395509 Enrolling by invitation - Hypertension Clinical Trials

The Intersectional Viborg Screening Program: Cost-(Effectiveness) of Screening for Diabetes and Cardiovascular Diseases

VISP
Start date: August 1, 2014
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This is an intersectional and interdisciplinary screening program in Viborg Municipality, including 67 years old citizens. This observational study will estimate the cost-effectiveness of a combined screening program for the following conditions: Abdominal aortic aneurysm, peripheral arterial disease, carotid plaque, hypertension, arrhythmia, and type-2-diabetes. Furthermore, the incidence of the outlined conditions will be described and so will the result of the intervention initiated (secondary medical prophylaxis, smoking cessation, introduction to nutritionally deficient diet etc.)

Clinical Outcomes and Radiation Safety After Endovascular Repair of Complex AAAs Using Fenestrated- Branched Devices

Start date: December 1, 2014
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to assess the clinical outcomes and radiation of the use of off-the-shelf and custom-made devices (CMDs) for the endovascular repair of juxtarenal, suprarenal, thoracoabdominal and arch aortic aneurysms in patients having appropriate anatomy. The study consists of three cohorts. The first 2 cohorts are the continuation of the current IDE study. The first cohort is aimed to assess the use of custom-made devices (CMDs) for the endovascular repair of juxtarenal, suprarenal and type IV thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms in standard and high-risk patients having appropriate anatomy (Fenestrated-CMD cohort). The second cohort (Type I-III thoracoabdominal cohort) includes standard and high-risk patients with type I- III thoracoabdominal aneurysms that require the use of branched/fenestrated CMDs, or, in selected cases, the Zenith Thoracoabdominal Branch (Zenith® t-Branchâ„¢) device. Finally, the third cohort (the Arch cohort) will include 25 high-risk patients with aortic arch aneurysms treated by patient-specific stent-grafts with one to three inner branches or a scallop
