Filter by:The goal of this randomized controlled clinical trial is to determine the feasibility, acceptability, and preliminary efficacy of an artificial intelligence platform )שׁ( for behavioral health in facilitating better clinical outcomes for adult patients receiving outpatient therapy. The main question[s] it aims to answer are: - whether an AI platform designed for behavioral healthcare would be feasible and acceptable to patients and therapists. - whether the depression and anxiety outcomes of adults receiving outpatient cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) in a community-based clinic would be superior among patients whose therapists used an AI-based platform to support clinical decision making and administrative tasks compared to patients receiving treatment-as-usual (TAU). Participants will receive CBT for depression or anxiety and complete standardized assessments. Participants will be followed for the first two months of therapy.
The perioperative setting is a common site of pediatric anxiety and distress. Perioperative anxiety in pediatric patients can result in uncooperative behavior, poor postoperative outcomes, and trauma. Given the fast-paced nature of the perioperative environment, many anxiety measures are too time consuming for clinical implementation prior to surgery. Pediatric anesthesiologists need reliable and efficient assessment tools to quickly measure childhood distress to target prophylactic and therapeutic interventions.
This study, which was designed as a randomized placebo-controlled experimental study, was conducted to determine the effect of inhalation aromatherapy with lavender essential oil on pain, anxiety and sleep quality in burn patients.
The goal of this study is to evaluate non-drug approaches to reducing dental anxiety prior to non-surgical root canal treatment. This will be done by comparing two relaxation methods which will be performed immediately prior to scheduled, clinical non-surgical root canal treatment. Measures of anxiety will be evaluated prior to, and after, the relaxation intervention, as well as after the non-surgical root canal treatment is completed. Participation in the study is completed in a single study visit.
The primary purpose of this study is to examine the effects of laughter therapy on tex anxiety and educational stress in 8th-grade students.
we aimed to assess the impact of health education on the anxiety level of COVID-19 patients during the isolation period.
Two-arm, parallel group randomized clinical trial conducted via Mturk comparing a single-session web-based intervention called Compassionate Care versus a control intervention (nature videos with relaxing music) for adults with moderate-to-severe stress, depression and/or anxiety symptoms.
For many years, total knee arthroplasty (TKA) has been a common and effective procedure to treat chronic refractory joint pain. Although efforts must be pursued, as general anesthesia remains the main tendency for TKA. Currently, the standard of care to manage procedural anxiety is pharmacological sedation; i.e. the intravenous administration of additional anesthetic agents such as propofol or midazolam. However, pharmacological sedation has considerable undesirable side effects. Hence, risks of intraprocedural adverse events including respiratory depression, hemodynamic perturbations, or paradoxical effects such as hostility, aggression, and psychomotor agitation, are increased. The goal of this prospective, single-center, randomized controlled clinical trial is to systematically evaluate the impact of implementing a protocol of virtual reality hypnosis in patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty under spinal anesthesia.
The primary aim of the proposed Randomised Control study is to investigate the effects of a socially assisted robot (i.e. Purrble) and a co-designed, bespoke Single Session Intervention (SSI) on students' anxiety (GAD-7) over the period of the two academic terms (in comparison to a wait-listed student group). Secondary aims include investigating the effects of the Purrble and SSI on students' emotion regulation processes, depressive symptoms, and quantitative and qualitative (interviews) measures of engagement with the intervention.
This study was carried out as a randomized controlled experimental study to determine the effect of inhaled lavender and bergamot oil on anxiety and sleep quality in patients hospitalized in the intensive care unit who had undergone surgical intervention. The universe of the research; Patients who were hospitalized in an Intensive Care Unit in Istanbul between May 2021 and October 2021, and the sample consisted of patients who met the criteria for inclusion in the study. Fifty-four patients who agreed to participate in the study and met the inclusion criteria were included. Lavender oil or bergamot oil or distilled water was administered to the patients 2 evenings by inhalation.
