Filter by:Evaluate the safety and effectiveness of endovascular repair with the LeMaitre TAArget thoracic stent graft as an alternative to open surgical repair.
To assess the safety and efficacy of the GORE Conformable TAG® Thoracic Endoprosthesis in the primary treatment of aneurysm of the descending thoracic aorta (DTA) > Primary Hypothesis: The proportion of subjects free from a major device event through 1 month post-treatment will not be significantly less than 0.95, which represents the proportion observed in previous clinical studies with the GORE TAG® Thoracic Endoprosthesis
The purpose of the study is to evaluate the TALENT endoluminal stent-graft system in patients with abdominal aortic aneurysms. The TALENT endoluminal stent-graft system is a flexible, implantable endoluminal vascular device preloaded in a placement system that is used to exclude abdominal aortic aneurysms.
The ultimate purpose is to explore potential techniques to exclude aneurysms and provide alternative conduit for arterial flow. The single center sponsorship is intended to provide the investigators the potential to incorporate improvements in existing technology during the course of the study thereby ultimately enhancing the potential for superior medical care of patients suffering from these disease states.
The Bifurcated PowerLink System is intended to provide a permanent alternative conduit for blood flow within a patient's abdominal vascular system, which excludes the aneurysmal sac from blood flow and pressure.
Lipid-rich atherosclerotic plaques, or "vulnerable plaques" are prone to rupture, causing local intravascular thrombosis, with subsequent grave clinical consequences. Atherosclerotic plaques normally removed during surgery, and peripheral blood samples will be studied to achieve the following objectives: "1" Define histological features of the vulnerable plaque, analyze its physical characteristics, and investigate selected gene expression. "2" Study biomarkers of inflammation in conjunction with the presence of vulnerable plaques. "3" Explore the potential role of infection in atherogenesis.
The purpose of this trial is to assess whether the new endovascular repair technique of the abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) is an adequate substitute of the conventional AAA repair.
