Filter by:Recurrent spontaneous abortion (RSA) is a common pregnancy complication in women of reproductive age and the cause of RSA remains largely unclear. Acupuncture is widely used in clinical practice to treat infertility and abortion. The role of acupuncture in the treatment of infertility is still unclear. The investigators conducted a randomized, prospective, controlled clinical trial to investigate its potential impact on pregnancy outcome. Herein, the investigators not only evaluated the changes in patients' psychological stress before and after treatment but also followed up on pregnancy outcomes. In addition, changes in uterine artery blood flow were observed by ultrasound. Changes in coagulation-related indicators were also detected.
The goal of this non-invasive interventional study is to explore the university students' experience of living with primary dysmenorrhea and evaluate the effect of acupuncture at the Sanyinjiao point on their physiological discomfort. The main questions it aims to answer are: - Is there any difference in pain before and after the intervention of the Sanyinjiao point acupressure for dysmenorrhea among female college students? - Is there any difference in the average number of Menstrual Distress Questionnaire scale before and after Sanyinjiao acupressure in female college students with dysmenorrhea? Participants will be acupressure at Sanyinjiao point triple times during the study.
This study intends to use a randomized controlled clinical study to clarify the clinical efficacy of cheek acupuncture therapy in patients with moderate depressive disorder. And also to find the antidepressant mechanism of cheek acupuncture therapy on moderate depressive disorder by using resting state functional magnetic resonance imaging. The specific method is to randomly assign 126 patients with moderate depressive disorder to cheek acupuncture group, sham cheek acupuncture group and drug group, evaluate the treatment effect with HAMD-17, PSQI and HAMA, observe the improvement of cheek acupuncture on depression, anxiety and sleep quality of patients with moderate depressive disorder, and observe the changes of functional links in various brain regions of patients in each group before and after treatment through resting state functional magnetic resonance imaging technology.
About 10 per cent of all new born babies in Sweden have infant colic. This may affect the the whole family and the early connection between the baby and the parents. Although, there are no effective and safe treatment. Acupuncture is an environmental friendly method that affects pain, anxiety, sleep and the function of gastrointestinal system. Several studies have shown various results, and there are a need for high-qualitative randomised controlled trials to investigate the proposed effect further. 128 children will be randomised into two groups; acupuncture at LI4 or no acupuncture, parents will be blinded. Statistical calculations will be performed on the content of the diaries (bowel movement frequency, crying time, feeding). Registration of crying/crying in connection with acupuncture treatment, i.e. when the needle touches the skin or later until the needle is removed and 30 seconds after.
the goal of this randomize clinical trial is to compare in 60 infertile women with hypothyroidism. selected from national Nutritional institute out clinic. the main question it aims to answer is: • There an effect of acupuncture and low caloric diet on primary hypothyroidism and irregular menstruation in infertile women. all participants were received• thyroxine tablets (levothyroxine) • a low caloric diet regime. researchers compared study group (30 infertile women with hypothyroidism) to see the effect of acupuncture sections on hypothyroidism.
Esophagus cancer patients are at risk for malnourishment. Feeding jejunostomy is used in advanced esophagus cancer patients in order to support and supplement the patient's nutrition needs. In dumping syndrome, the food is rapidly introduced into the intestine at a rate that is faster than normal, it is associated with both digestive system and vasoactive symptoms. Dumping syndrome has an association with both esophagus cancer patients and feeding jejunostomy. In the mid and long term, dumping syndrome is an important issue that contributes to the risk of malnourishment in advanced esophagus cancer patients. Acupuncture effect on digestive symptoms was widely investigated with effective abilities to regulate and reduce digestive symptoms. Acupuncture is also considered a safe intervention for cancer patients. A total of 60 advanced esophageal cancer patients will be divided into two equal groups, the intervention group (n=30) and the control groups (n=30). Patients in the Intervention group will receive acupuncture using the following acupoints: ST36 (Zusanli), ST37 (Shangjuxu), ST39 (Xiajuxu), PC6 (Neiguan), and LI4 (Hegu) liv 3 (Taichung). Patients and assessors will be blind to trial allocation. The patients in the Control group will receive shallow acupuncture on 12 non-acupoints (sham points). Both groups will receive acupuncture twice a week for 6 weeks. The main outcome measurements are body weight, BMI, the Sigstad's score and the Arts' dumping questionnaire, 3 and 6 months mortality.
Shoulder pain is highly prevalent within general population, and shoulder impingement syndrome (SIS) is a common cause of shoulder pain. A small number of clinical and methodologically diverse trials have been published recently which show little evidence to support or refute the use of acupuncture for shoulder pain. Some researchers concluded, there is a need for further well-designed clinical trials. Our aim in this study is to investigate the effect of acupuncture treatment on pain, range of motion, functionality and quality of life in patients diagnosed with Subacromial Impingement Syndrome as a result of clinical and radiological tests.
In this study, the investigators aimed to examine the effect of electroacupuncture application on the amount of pain felt by patients after periodontal surgery. The main question it aims to answer is there any efficiacy of electroacupuncture application on postoperative pain reduction. Participants will get periodontal flap surgery treatment with/without electroacupuncture Researchers will compare EA and control groups to see if there is any relationship between acupuncture application and postoperative pain
This clinical trial used acupuncture as an adjunctive treatment for glaucoma patients. A randomized, controlled trial involving 50 subjects will be conducted and observed for 12 weeks to evaluate the clinical efficacy of acupuncture. This study aims to provide a reference for future clinical treatment guidelines.
The aim of the study is to access the efficacy and safety of acupuncture for post COVID-19 fatigue.
