NCT ID: NCT01495481 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Supraventricular Tachycardia

Dexmedetomidine Versus Adenosine: Electrophysiologic Effects and Therapeutic Use for Terminating Supraventricular Tachycardia

Start date: January 2012
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of dexmedetomidine in the acute termination of Supraventricular Tachycardia (SVT).

NCT ID: NCT01492764 Completed - Clinical trials for Ventricular Tachyarrhythmias

Ablation of Ventricular Fibrillation by Accurate Targeting of Arrhythmogenic Regions (AVATAR)

AVATAR
Start date: June 2011
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This study will test the hypothesis that many human heart rhythm disorders are caused by small localized sources, where brief ablation may successfully eliminate the heart rhythm disorder.

NCT ID: NCT01448005 Terminated - Myocardial Ischemia Clinical Trials

LifeVest Post-CABG Registry

Start date: February 2011
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

This is a multi-center prospective registry of patients with an ejection fraction (EF) ≤ 35% following coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery in order to test the hypothesis that wearable defibrillators (WD) will decrease overall mortality after discharge by decreasing arrhythmic death in this select population with high risk for sudden cardiac death (SCD). This is a pilot project to determine the feasibility of a larger-scale study.

NCT ID: NCT01446965 Completed - Clinical trials for Myocardial Infarction

Vest Prevention of Early Sudden Death Trial and VEST Registry

VEST
Start date: July 2008
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study explores the hypothesis that wearable defibrillators can impact mortality by reducing sudden death during the first three months after a heart attack in persons with high risk for life-threatening arrhythmias.

NCT ID: NCT01426425 Completed - Heart Disease Clinical Trials

Intracardiac CrYoablation for AtrioVentricular Nodal Reentrant Tachycardia

Start date: May 2012
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

ICY-AVNRT (Intracardiac CrYoablation for AtrioVentricular Nodal Reentrant Tachycardia) is a prospective multi-center, nonrandomized, single arm, controlled, unblinded, investigational clinical study. The purpose of this clinical study is to demonstrate the safety and effectiveness of the Freezor® Xtra Cardiac CryoAblation Catheter for the cryoablation of the conducting tissues of the heart in the treatment of patients with atrioventricular nodal reentrant tachycardia (AVNRT) using an endocardial approach.

NCT ID: NCT01410552 Completed - Tachycardia Clinical Trials

Inappropriate Shock Reduction wIth PARAD+ Rhythm DiScrimination

ISIS-ICD
Start date: October 2011
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

ISIS- ICD study has been designed to evaluate the impact of PARAD+ algorithm on inappropriate shocks, in a general population implanted for primary or secondary prevention with a dual or tri chamber device at one year follow-up

NCT ID: NCT01401647 Active, not recruiting - Cardiac Arrest Clinical Trials

Amiodarone, Lidocaine or Neither for Out-Of-Hospital Cardiac Arrest Due to Ventricular Fibrillation or Tachycardia

ALPS
Start date: May 2012
Phase: Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

The primary objective of the trial is to determine if survival to hospital discharge is improved with early therapeutic administration of a new Captisol-Enabled formulation of IV amiodarone (Nexterone-PM101) compared to placebo.

NCT ID: NCT01401608 Terminated - Clinical trials for Ventricular Tachycardia

Stereotaxis Idiopathic Ventricular Tachycardia (VT) Study

Start date: March 2011
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

This study will assess the outcomes of using magnetic navigation to treat ventricular tachycardia (VT) or premature ventricular contractions (PVCs) that occur for unknown reasons and are not related to structural heart disease.

NCT ID: NCT01382953 Completed - Atrial Fibrillation Clinical Trials

The Simple ECG Monitoring Trial (Comparison of a Novel Recording System With a Standard Holter Monitor)

Start date: August 2011
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this research is to simplify the standard recording system of the heart rhythm. The investigators desire to improve the ease of monitoring the cardiac rhythm for 24 hours. The investigators intent is to use a very small, innovative monitoring patch system that relieves the patient of wearing a cumbersome and uncomfortable recording system. This research trial will carry the title "The Simple ECG Monitoring" for Comparison of a Sternal ECG Recording System with a Standard ECG Recording System for Holter Monitoring. The data from the investigational device is for comparative purposes only. It will not be used by medical personnel for study subject treatment or diagnostic purposes.

NCT ID: NCT01377051 Completed - COPD Clinical Trials

Effect of Indacaterol Maleate in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) on Lung Volume and Related Dyspnea

Start date: May 2011
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine whether indacaterol maleate 300 micrograms (mcg) is effective in the acute treatment of COPD and in particular on reducing lung hyperinflation and dynamic volumes.
