NCT ID: NCT04395456 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome Due to SARS-CoV-2 Infection (Severe COVID19)

A Study of the C3 Inhibitor AMY-101 in Patients With ARDS Due to COVID-19 (SAVE)

SAVE
Start date: September 2021
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The study is a prospective, randomized, placebo-controlled, single-blind phase 2 clinical study of the efficacy and safety of AMY-101, a potent C3 inhibitor, for the management of patients with ARDS caused by SARS-CoV-2 infection. We will assess the efficacy and safety, as well as pharmacokinetics (PK), and pharmacodynamics (PD). The study will assess the impact of AMY-101 in patients with severe COVID19; specifically, it will assess the impact of AMY-101 1) on survival without ARDS and without oxygen requirement at day 21 and 2) on the clinical status of the patients at day 21.

NCT ID: NCT04381897 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Cornelia de Lange Syndrome

Use of N-Acetylcysteine in the Treatment of Repetitive and Self-Injurious Behaviors in Cornelia de Lange Syndrome

Start date: September 1, 2024
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This research project is a randomized cross-over pilot trial which aims to test the efficacy of N-acetylcysteine (NAC) for the treatment of Repetitive Behaviors (RB) and self-injurious behavior (SIB) in patients with Cornelia de Lange Syndrome (CdLs). NAC is a known anti-oxidative stress and neuroprotective agent, which has been shown to decrease the occurrence of SIB such as skin picking. NAC has also shown partial response in trials for compulsive behaviors in Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and related disorders in autism. Cornelia de Lange syndrome (CdLS) is a genetic disorder with autistic features, including RBs and SIB. In this randomized clinical trial, participants with CdLS will be blindly assigned one of two possible treatment arms: 1) placebo (8 weeks) and NAC (8 weeks); or 2) NAC (8 weeks) and placebo (8 weeks), with an intermediate 2-week washout period.

NCT ID: NCT04361903 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2

Ruxolitinib for the Treatment of Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome in Patients With COVID-19 Infection

RESPIRE
Start date: April 25, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

It is an observational, cohort, retrospective, monocentric, non-profit study. The primary objective is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of ruxolitinib in acute respiratory distress syndrome in patients with SARS-CoV-2 COVID-19 with rapid deterioration of respiratory parameters in the last 12 hours.

NCT ID: NCT04358627 Not yet recruiting - Inflammation Clinical Trials

Dexmedetomidine to Improve Outcomes of ARDS in Critical Care COVID-19 Patients

COVID-DEX
Start date: April 15, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

A continuous infusion of Dexmedetomidine (DEX) will be administered to 80 patients admitted to Critical Care because of signs of Respiratory Insufficiency requiring non-invasive ventilation. Measurements of respiratory performance and quantification of cellular and molecular inflammatory mediators. The primary outcome will be the avoidance of mechanical ventilation with secondary outcomes duration of mechanical ventilation, avoidance of delirium after sedation and association of mediators of inflammation to outcomes. Outcomes will be compared to a matched historical control (no DEX) series

NCT ID: NCT04358497 Not yet recruiting - Venous Disease Clinical Trials

Endovascular Versus Medical Treatment for the Pelvic Congestion Syndrome

ENDPCS
Start date: October 1, 2020
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

Compare the efficacy and safety of endovascular treatment with sandwich technique (controlled release coils and 2% polidocanol foam) associated with diosmin-hisperidine and ibuprofen medical treatment and only the best chronic medical treatment available diosmin-hisperidine and ibuprofen for 3 months, in women of active gynecological age carrying pelvic congestion syndrome in public assistance in Montevideo, Uruguay.

NCT ID: NCT04355572 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Vitamin D Deficiency

Evaluation of the Clinical and Psychological Impact of Vitamin D Replacement in Adolescent Females at Risk for Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)

Start date: April 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study is a double blind, placebo controlled, randomized trial of study subjects with PCOS and low vitamin D to 2 groups- placebo and vitamin D replacement. Participants and investigators will be blinded to treatment modality until the end of the trial period

NCT ID: NCT04347967 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome

Mesenchymal Stem Cells for The Treatment of Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS)

Start date: January 1, 2024
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

The clinical study with UMC119-06 is designed to investigate the safety in patients with moderate acute respiratory distress syndrome ("ARDS"). This will be a dose escalation, open-label, single-center study in adult with ARDS. UMC119-06 is ex vivo cultured human umbilical cord derived mensenchymal stem cells (hUC-MSCs) product which is intended for treatment of ARDS.

NCT ID: NCT04335227 Not yet recruiting - Clinical trials for Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

Yoga Therapy and Aerobic Exercise on Anti-Mullerian Hormone in Young Women With Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

Start date: November 14, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Weight loss and lifestyle modifications are much required in women with Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). Yoga has gained great importance as an alternate medicine in recent years which is helpful in lifestyle modifications. Weight loss can be achieved by regular aerobic activity. In recent years, excessive production of anti-mullerian hormone (AMH) has been considered as the etiology of PCOS. AMH is also emerging as a diagnostic and screening tool for PCOS. Effect of yoga therapy on adolescent girls have proved to be effective. But, researches on young women undergoing yoga therapy and combined effect of aerobic exercise and yoga therapy are still lacking. Hence, the investigators aimed t o establish the benefits of yoga therapy and aerobic exercise on Anti-Mullerian Hormone and other biochemical markers in young women with polycystic ovary syndrome.
