NCT ID: NCT04590274 Withdrawn - Covid19 Clinical Trials

Safety and Efficacy of Hydroxychloroquine for the Treatment & Prevention of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2)

Start date: November 2020
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) (previously called 2019-nCOV acute respiratory disease) is caused by SARS-CoV-2, a positive-sense single-stranded RNA virus of the coronavirus family. The coronaviruses are largely responsible for the common cold, the 2002 SARS outbreak in Guangdong, China, the 2012 MERS outbreak in Saudi Arabia, and the present COVID-19 outbreak that originated in Wuhan, China. Much has been reported by way of systemic injury caused by COVID-19 affecting the cardiovascular, hepatic, nervous systems. These conditions are likely the result of the virus overwhelming the immune system. For these reasons, the investigators wish to conduct this study using existing medications off-label, and over-the-counter supplements to support the immune response, prevent lasting injury, and hasten the recovery from COVID-19.

NCT ID: NCT04590183 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Posner Schlossman Syndrome

The Effectiveness and Safety of FK-506 for the Treatment of Posner-Schlossman Syndrome

Start date: October 1, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of tacrolimus eye drops (FK-506) in the treatment of Posner-Schlossman Syndrome. It is expected to collect 30 patients with PSS who are in the Ophthalmology Department of Peking University Third Hospital. The included PSS patients were divided into experimental group and control group using simple randomization method. Among them, the experimental group was treated with FK-506 twice a day, and the control group was treated with prednisolone acetate ophthalmic suspension 1% 4 times a day. For all PSS patients whose intraocular pressure is higher than 30mmHg, also add brinzolamide eye drops 3 times a day. Best corrected visual acuity, Goldmann intraocular pressure, anterior section photographs, corneal endothelial cells, corneal confocal microscope, Heidelberg retinal nerve analysis, Octopus visual field were examined on baseline and 1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks, 4 weeks after the treatment.

NCT ID: NCT04589065 Suspended - Heart Failure Clinical Trials

SCD for CRS in Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) (No Left Ventricular Assist Device)

Start date: September 2024
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this clinical trial is to see if a new device (SCD) is safe and if it can reduce damage to the kidney enough to allow medications to work to improve heart and kidney function for use in patients that have moderate to severe heart failure and is at least in part due to heart failure and it not responding to standard medical therapy. The SCD is a cartridge used with a commercial hemodialysis unit. Participants will be enrolled in the clinical trial once eligibility is confirmed. In addition to clinical assessments and laboratory testing participants will have surface echocardiograms during the trial. The SCD treatment will take place for 4 hours on day 1, 3, and 5 while on hemodialysis.

NCT ID: NCT04588779 Completed - Piriformis Syndrome Clinical Trials

Graston vs Manual Myofascial Release Technique in Piriformis Syndrome.

Start date: January 11, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The objective of our study is to compare the effects of Graston and manual myofascial release technique on pain, muscle length and functional status in patients with Piriformis syndrome.

NCT ID: NCT04588428 Completed - Clinical trials for Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV)

Safety, Tolerability and Immunogenicity of INO-4700 for MERS-CoV in Healthy Volunteers

Start date: June 21, 2021
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this Phase 2a, randomized, blinded, placebo-controlled, multi-center study is to evaluate the safety, tolerability and immunogenicity of INO-4700 administered by intradermal (ID) injection followed by electroporation (EP) using the CELLECTRA™ 2000 device in healthy adult volunteers for Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV) infection. This study is divided into 2 parts: Part 1- dose finding stage and Part 2- dose expansion stage.

NCT ID: NCT04588363 Completed - Clinical trials for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)

COVID-19: Pediatric Research Immune Network on SARS-CoV-2 and MIS-C

PRISM
Start date: November 19, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The primary objectives of this study are: - To determine the proportion of children with Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) related death, rehospitalization or major complications after infection with SARS-CoV-2 and/or Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children (MIS-C), and - To determine immunologic mechanisms and immune signatures associated with disease spectrum and subsequent clinical course during the year of follow-up.

NCT ID: NCT04587856 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Myelodysplastic Syndromes

Molecular Mechanisms of Disease Relapse After Allogenic Stem Cell Transplantation in MDS Patients

Start date: February 12, 2021
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This is a biological study for adult MDS patients who undergo HSCT procedure. Viable bone marrow samples will be collected and cryopreserved from MDS patients before transplantation and at clinical disease recurrence. CD34+ blast cells at disease relapse after HSCT will be compared with CD34+ cells collected before transplant to study genomic and transcriptomic changes.

NCT ID: NCT04587466 Recruiting - Geriatric Syndromes Clinical Trials

KArukera Study of Aging in Nursing Homes

KASEHPAD
Start date: November 3, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Nursing homes are a recent occurrence in Guadeloupe, and little is known about the characteristics of their residents. In Guadeloupe, in the French West Indies, nearly 1200 dependent older people are cared for in nursing homes. The aim of the KArukera Study of Aging in Nursing Homes (KASEHPAD) is to study the care pathways of dependent elderly people in nursing homes in Guadeloupe over a year. The main objective will be to obtain the annual rate of hospitalisation in this setting. The secondary objectives will be to assess hospitalisations costs, the incidence of mortality, the prevalence of geriatric syndromes, as well as the quality of life of residents and professional caregiver burnout. Ultimately, these results will be compared to a similar study in nursing homes, the KASAF study (for Karukera Study of Aging in Foster Families).
