Filter by:This is a single-arm, prospective, interventional study in cancer survivors and patients to examine the feasibility of a mobile health application, Elly (Elly Health Inc.), to reduce levels of anxiety, stress, loneliness, and social isolation. Participants will be given access to the Elly phone application developed by Elly Health Inc. and will be asked to complete questionnaires measuring quality of life at multiple timepoints during the study.
How do varying levels of participation in selecting self-management interventions (ranging from no input into the selection to selection based on need or preference) affect health risks and physical and mental health over time in family caregivers of persons with Alzheimer's and other dementia disorders? Caregivers will be randomized to 1) information on diversional activities (attention control); 2) self-management intervention based on need (SM-need); or 3) self-management intervention of their preference (SM-preference).
This study evaluates the effectiveness of virtual reality (VR) therapy in the treatment of depression and anxiety symptoms in patients undergoing the pulmonary rehabilitation. The first study group will receive VR therapy (VR group) as an addition to the traditional pulmonary rehabilitation. The second group (active control group) will receive Schultz Autogenic Training as a standard supplement to the pulmonary treatment. The third group (control group) will undergo only the traditional pulmonary rehabilitation.

HeartBot is an app designed to enable people 14 years and older to use relaxation tools offered by Heartfulness. The study is conducted to examine the effect of the app on stress and emotional wellness in participants 14 years and older. Research Question: Does HeartBot affect the stress levels and emotional wellness in participants 14 years and older? Hypothesis: Participants who use HeartBot for 21 days will see a significant decrease in their stress levels and an improvement in emotional wellness.
This project involves testing a brief mindfulness training program to reduce students' psychological threat and support motivation, engagement, and learning in introductory undergraduate physics courses. The investigators predict that, compared to a control condition, mindfulness training will reduce psychological threat and increase motivation, engagement, and learning in physics.
Integrating ICT in health promotion has been suggested to offer many advantages compared to traditional approaches to promote well-being. Research has shown the positive effects of a body-mind-spirit (BMS) approach in enhancing health and well-being. We will develop and assess a pilot trial involving a holistic BMS approach to promote positive emotion change, emotion regulation and self-awareness through an ICT-supported program in a community setting.
