NCT ID: NCT06228677 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Primary Aldosteronism

Comparison of Catecholamine Concentrations in Venous Blood During Selective Adrenal Artery Embolization

Start date: September 18, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

To explore the relationship between perioperative blood pressure and catecholamine concentrations in adrenal venous blood and peripheral venous blood in hypertensive patients with primary aldosteronism (PA) who underwent percutaneous selective adrenal artery embolization (SAAE). In order to elucidate the related phenomena and possible mechanisms of blood pressure fluctuations caused by SAAE treatment in hypertensive patients with PA.

NCT ID: NCT05925569 Not yet recruiting - Hypertension Clinical Trials

Electronic Alert to Improve Testing For Primary Aldosteronism in Patients With Hypertension

ALERT-PA
Start date: December 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Primary aldosteronism (PA) is common but rarely recognized cause of hypertension that carries excess cardiovascular and renal risk and has approved targeted treatments. Despite current clinical guidelines that recommend screening in a defined set of high-risk populations, less than 5% of eligible patients are ever screened for PA. This study aims to evaluate the impact of a computer decision support Best Practice Advisory (BPA) alert on rates of screening for PA in guideline-eligible patients, referral to specialist PA care, and treatment with mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists.

NCT ID: NCT02184858 Completed - Clinical trials for Primary Hypertension

Dose Titration of Lisinopril in Children Aged 1 to 18 Years With Primary or Secondary Hypertension

Lisi-ped
Start date: June 25, 2014
Phase: Phase 4
Study type: Interventional

This open label 4 month study will evaluate efficacy (blood pressure lowering effects) and safety of lisinopril in children 1-18y whose parents grant permission to participate. This dose titration study is being conducted to support the statement that personalized titration of lisinopril (based on blood pressure and renin-aldosterone ratio) can increase patient response.

NCT ID: NCT01854190 Completed - Clinical trials for Obstructive Sleep Apnea

Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Endothelial Function in Patients With Resistant Hypertension

Start date: July 2012
Phase: N/A
Study type: Observational [Patient Registry]

The purpose of this study is to determine the prevalence of obstructive sleep apnea and associate it with the endothelial function behavior in patients with resistant hypertension. Two groups will be evaluate, one presenting uncontrolled high blood pressure, and other, with controlled blood pressure by drugs.

NCT ID: NCT01742702 Recruiting - Aortic Stenosis Clinical Trials

HaemoDYNAMICs in Primary and Secondary Hypertension

DYNAMIC
Start date: May 25, 2006
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The primary aim of the present study was to examine the haemodynamic changes in primary hypertension and secondary hypertension (renal diseases, endocrine diseases, obesity-associated hypertension) with a non-invasive haemodynamic measurement protocol utilizing radial pulse wave analysis and whole-body impedance cardiography in both supine position and during head-up tilt. For comparison, haemodynamics of subjects with chronic fatigue syndrome will also be recorded.
