Filter by:This study, was aimed to evaluate the effect of self-care support program (self-care training in endometriosis + motivational interview) applied to women with endometriosis on quality of life, self-care behaviors, depression, anxiety and stress levels.
The research was planned as a prospective, randomized controlled experimental study to determine the effect of laughter yoga applied to midwifery students on premenstrual symptoms (PMS) and quality of life. Research Hypotheses H0: Online laughter yoga has no effect on premenstrual symptoms. H1: Online laughter yoga has an effect on premenstrual symptoms. H0: Online laughter yoga has no effect on quality of life. H1: Online laughter yoga has an impact on quality of life.
The purpose of this study is to pilot test a brief, population-specific nurse-led, quality of life (QOL) intervention with early phase cancer clinical trial (EP-CT) participants. The name of the intervention used in this research study is: -Nurse-Led Quality of Life Intervention (comprised of nurse-patient relationship, assessment and monitoring of participant QOL, and interdisciplinary team meetings led by the CRN (clinical research nurse).
A prospective, multicentre, postmarketing, pilot clinical study is proposed to validate in the day-to-day life a medical device (mjn-SERAS), which has already been validated and certified in Europe. The patient's characteristics about epilepsy, drug-resistant epilepsy, inclusion and exclusion criteria for the study. This new validation will take place in the participant's normalised environment, in individuals between 12 and 65 years of age, of both sexes with a diagnosis of drug-resistant epilepsy to determine the impact of the mjn-SERAS on the early detection of epileptic seizures and the generation of a pre-seizure alert with a time window of a minimum of 1 minute.
This protocol will assess the level of satisfaction, acceptance of treatment and quality of life of patients with undetectable HIV who voluntarily change from oral to injectable antiretroviral treatment at 72 weeks of follow-up.
The goal of this research study is to develop a nutrition algorithm to optimize nutritional status and improve quality of life during for participants who are completing or have completed cancer treatment. The name of the intervention used in this research study is: Nutrition Algorithm for Cancer Health Outcomes (NACHO) (a technology-based platform that houses the algorithms for the person-centered nutrition program)
Brief Summary: The definition of individuals with disabilities, who are among the disadvantaged group, is defined by Law No. 5378 as "those who have difficulties in adapting to social life and meeting their daily needs due to the loss of their physical, mental, spiritual, sensory and social abilities at various degrees due to any congenital or subsequent reason; and a person who needs protection, care, rehabilitation, counseling and support services" (Law on the Disabled). Due to the fact that the conditions and needs of physically disabled women are not well expressed, they have not benefited enough from services such as education and health and they have faced difficulties. No study has been found in the world or in our country that examines the effect of laughter yoga on physically disabled women and their relatives. In this study, it is thought that the practice of laughter yoga can increase the psychological well-being and quality of life of physically disabled women and their relatives. Aim: This study was planned to measure the effect of laughter yoga on psychological well-being and quality of life in physically disabled women and their relatives.
The aim of this study is to determine the effects of the use of a simple, reliable and cost-effective puzzle on post-operative cognitive function changes, postoperative recovery, and quality of life using questionnaires and face-to-face interview techniques.
Stereotactic Ablative Radiotherapy (SABR) is a modern RT technique that delivers high doses of radiation to small tumor targets using highly conformal techniques, while trying to avoid healthy tissues and organs. However, SABR treatment requires increased planning, treatment time, cost and potential for higher toxicity due to the higher dose. The purpose of this study is to compare single fraction (SF) SABR vs. multiple fraction (MF) SABR in regards to toxicities, progression-free survival, quality of life (QoL), and cost-effectiveness. In a subset of patients, we will also compare patient QoL, hospitalization rates, and cost-effectiveness between patients who complete QoL questionnaires, record symptoms and receive healthcare provider-guided intervention vs. patients who complete QoL questionnaires only.
Transvaginal Natural Orifice Transluminal Endoscopic Surgery (vNOTES) is a recent innovation in minimally invasive surgery which has already proven its non-inferiority to conventional abdominal laparoscopy (CAL) for hysterectomy in terms of efficiency and safety. However, the investigators note a lack of medical literature and no specific randomized controlled trial (RCT) assessing women's sexual function after vNOTES for benign adnexal surgery. The aim of this RCT is to confirm the non-inferiority of the vNOTES approach for benign adnexal pathology compared to CAL on women's sexual function. Secondary outcomes will evaluate vNOTES's efficiency, morbidity and postoperative complications compared to CAL for benign adnexal surgery. The relationship between adnexal mass morcellation/aspiration and the quality of the histological analysis on surgical specimens will also be evaluated as secondary outcome.
