NCT ID: NCT04294303 Completed - Heart Failure Clinical Trials

Use of Telemonitoring System in Heart Failure Patients

I get better
Start date: February 3, 2016
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Heart failure is a major public health problem worldwide. Heart failure is one of the most common causes for hospitalizations among people over 65 years of age in the United States. Nationwide, approximately 25% of patients admitted to a hospital for heart failure are readmitted to a hospital within 30 days.Multiple transitional care interventions, including telemonitoring, aimed to decrease hospital readmission rates and improve quality of life in heart failure (HF) patients have been explored. Most studies evaluated effectiveness of telemonitoring used in conjunction with other interventions. In this study, investigators studied the role of a potentially cost-effective, telemonitoring program in reducing readmissions and improving quality of life among patients admitted with HF exacerbation in a teaching hospital. They aimed to determine impact of a standalone telemonitoring system. Primary outcome: Rate of hospital readmission for heart failure Secondary outcomes: Quality of life, Perceived effect of the intervention on heart-failure related care

The TARGET-EFT Randomized Clinical Trial

TARGET-EFT
Start date: March 5, 2020
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

NCT ID: NCT04281953 Completed - Cancer Clinical Trials

Impact on Quality of Life of Long-term Ototoxicity in Cancer Survivors

Start date: September 5, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This project aims to explore, in depth, the burden of hearing loss and tinnitus on cancer survivors. Using semi-structured interviews, audiograms and a variety of validated questionnaires, the specific impact ototoxicity has on quality of life will be investigated. From this, we can identify the specific needs of patients experiencing hearing loss and tinnitus following chemotherapy and develop a tailored and personalised support system.

NCT ID: NCT04281069 Completed - Clinical trials for Diabetes Mellitus, Type 2

Diabetes Type 2 in the Eastern Region of Morocco

Start date: March 1, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This South Initiative is the first step towards a long-term general objective that aims to improve the manage-ment of type 2 diabetes (T2D) and concurrently create jobs for health professionals in Eastern Morocco by developing a multidisciplinary approach in the management of T2D, based upon international guidelines but adapted to the regional socio-economic and cultural context, and with a focus on empowerment of Muslim women. NCT ID: NCT04281043 Completed - Quality of Life Clinical Trials

Quality of Life After Robotic Surgery for Endometrial Cancer

QoL
Start date: June 15, 2019
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The purpose of this study is to investigate how robotic assisted laparoscopic surgery affects the quality of life of women who are treated with primary surgery for endometrial cancer. The questionnaires used are validated and used extensively internationally. The first survey has two parts, QLQ30 and the module for endometrial cancer EN24. In addition the study includes use PHQ -9 and GAD 7.

Psychoeducation in Patients Who Diagnosed With Schizophrenia

Start date: January 1, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

People with schizophrenia are faced with social problems such as repeated hospitalizations, stigma with lack of social skills, unemployment, lack of necessary and adequate health care and education due to lack of adequate care in the community they live in. NCT ID: NCT04256967 Completed - Quality of Life Clinical Trials

Body Image Among University Students

Start date: February 1, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

A negative body image negatively affects the total health of students and the quality of life in University students. Body image and the experience of body appearance pressure have not been investigated previously among the Norwegian student population. It is reasonable to suggest that sport science students experience an increased pressure to have an athletic body to be able to identify as a sport science student and for future job opportunities. Such pressure would negatively influence students' attitudes and practice as future communicators of lifestyle knowledge after completing their studies. Objective: The study objective is to assess body image and body appearance pressure among Norwegian University students, and to investigate differences between different academic disciplines and gender. The study uses a cross-sectional design with a questionnaire to measure outcomes in male and female students in Norway.
