NCT ID: NCT06178588 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Stage III Intrahepatic Cholangiocarcinoma AJCC v8

Sacituzumab Govitecan for the Treatment for Patients With Locally Advanced, Recurrent, or Metastatic Cholangiocarcinoma

Start date: February 1, 2024
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

This phase II trial tests how well sacituzumab govitecan works in treating patients with cholangiocarcinoma that has spread to nearby tissue or lymph nodes (locally advanced), that has come back after a period of improvement (recurrent) or that has spread from where it first started (primary site) to other places in the body (metastatic). Sacituzumab govitecan is a monoclonal antibody, called hRS7, linked to a toxic agent, called SN-38. HRS7 is a form of targeted therapy because it attaches to specific molecules (receptors) on the surface of tumor cells, known as TROP2 receptors, and delivers SN-38 to kill them.

NCT ID: NCT06178497 Recruiting - Clinical trials for ACL - Anterior Cruciate Ligament Deficiency

5 Years' Follow-up Assessment of Surgical Repair for ACL Proximal Rupture

RUPTUPROX
Start date: December 1, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Isolated ruptures of ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) are ligament injuries that can be proximal, central or distal. Treatment of patients with proximal lesions should be graded. Functional treatment can be reserved for low-demanding patients in whom the practice level is limited and progression risk to a functionally unstable knee less marked. In athletes, the risk of a new sprain must be explained and the patient will choose functional treatment or surgical treatment. Surgical treatment generally involves ligamentoplasty at the expense of a knee tendon to replace the ruptured ACL. In the context of proximal ACL rupture, the patient can be offered surgical repair of the ACL. There are numerous studies on ACL ligamentoplasties results but literature is poor on modern ACL repair outcomes. In this context, this study aims to describe the relapse rate at 5 years of patients operated for a proximal ACL tear.

NCT ID: NCT06178484 Recruiting - Clinical trials for ACL - Anterior Cruciate Ligament Deficiency

Comparison of Surgical Repair Versus Functional Treatment in Patients With Proximal ACL Tear

SUTUFONC
Start date: December 1, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Isolated ruptures of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) can be proximal, distal or occur in the middle of the ACL. Treatment of patients with proximal lesions should be graded. Functional treatment can be reserved for low-demanding patients in whom the practice level is limited and the risk of progression to a knee functionally unstable less marked. In athletes, the risk of a new sprain must be explained and the patient will choose a functional treatment or a surgical treatment. Few studies exist in the literature on the superiority of surgical treatment compared to functional treatment. In this context, this study is based on the hypothesis that patients undergoing ACL surgical repair have better functional scores and more intense sport activity than patients with functional treatment.

NCT ID: NCT06178354 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Stage IIIB Prostate Cancer AJCC v8

Focal Ablation With Focal Cryotherapy or HIFU for the Treatment of Men With Localized Prostate Cancer

Start date: November 9, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This clinical trial evaluates the effectiveness of focal ablation with either focal cryotherapy or high intensity frequency ultrasound for the treatment of men with localized prostate cancer. Focal cryotherapy kills tumor cells by freezing them. High intensity frequency ultrasound uses highly focused ultrasound waves to produce heat and destroy tumor cells.

NCT ID: NCT06177548 Recruiting - Aortic Dissection Clinical Trials

Safety and Efficacy of the Minimally Invasive Bentall Procedure Via a Small Right Intercostal Incision in Patients With Aortic Root Lesions

Mini-Bentall
Start date: December 11, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

This study intends to include patients who had aortic root lesions and were treated with Bentall surgery from January 2019 to July 2023 in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University. The patients will be divided into the minimally invasive group and control group according to the surgical methods: the former underwent minimally invasive Bentall surgery through a small right intercostal incision; the latter underwent traditional Bentall surgery through a median sternal incision. By comparing the clinical data of patients in two groups, we will investigate the effect and safety of minimally invasive Bentall surgery.

NCT ID: NCT06177067 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Refractory Acute Myeloid Leukemia

Study of Revumenib, Azacitidine, and Venetoclax in Pediatric and Young Adult Patients With Refractory or Relapsed Acute Myeloid Leukemia

Start date: April 19, 2024
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

This is a research study to find out if adding a new study drug called revumenib to commonly used chemotherapy drugs is safe and if they have beneficial effects in treating patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) or acute leukemia of ambiguous lineage (ALAL) that did not go into remission after treatment (refractory) or has come back after treatment (relapsed), and to determine the total dose of the 3-drug combination of revumenib, azacitidine and venetoclax that can be given safely in participants also taking an anti-fungal drug. Primary Objective - To determine the safety and tolerability of revumenib + azacitidine + venetoclax in pediatric patients with relapsed or refractory AML or ALAL. Secondary Objectives - Describe the rates of complete remission (CR), complete remission with incomplete count recovery (CRi), and overall survival for patients treated with revumenib + azacitidine + venetoclax at the recommended phase 2 dose (RP2D).

NCT ID: NCT06176482 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Upper Limb Amputation at the Wrist

A Bidirectional MyoKinetic Implanted Interface for Natural Control of Artificial Limbs

MYKY
Start date: March 1, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This is a European project that it will develop an innovative robotic hand prosthesis, whose movements can be controlled in a natural and intuitive way. The project will be financed with 1.5 million euros by the European Research Council (ERC), through the "ERC Starting Grant 2015" program, one of the most competitive globally. According to current approaches (even the most technologically advanced or still under development) the control of the movements of the prosthetic hand occurs on the decoding of the electrical potentials, transmitted by the brain and captured by the peripheral neuromuscular system, through electrodes. The project has the ambition of wanting to overcome the limits of these techniques, through the development of an interface based on magnetic markers implantable in the muscles, capable of monitoring the elongation (lengthening) of the residual muscles, as happens naturally when performing a task motor (action), for example grabbing a bottle. With this information MYKI wants to control the movements of a robotic hand in a natural and intuitive way. In terms of potential, magnetic markers could also be used to provide a sensory feedback to the person wearing the robotic prosthesis, when it interacts with the environment, just as happens in the natural hand.

NCT ID: NCT06176144 Recruiting - Delirium Clinical Trials

Impact of Desflurane and Sevoflurane on Postoperative Delirium in Elderly Patients

Start date: September 10, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Advanced age is a consistent risk factor for the incidence of postoperative cognitive decline, which is associated with longer hospital stays, decreased quality of life, and increased mortality. Anaesthetic drugs can also affect postoperative cognition, as their residual effects can alter central nervous system activity. Desflurane and sevoflurane are widely used volatile anesthetics. Choice anesthetics may influence the occurrence of postoperative delirium. However, evidence in this aspect is conflicting.
