Stump and phantom pain after amputation are common, but the responsible mechanisms are still not clarified. It has been suggested that phantom limb pain can be reduced by regional anaesthesia and in several recent studies, pain was reduced following intrathecal and intraforaminal blocks. In this study, the investigators want to investigate if spontaneous and evoked pain in amputees will be relieved by regional nerve blocks involving the damaged nerves.

US Guided GNB vs Saline Injection for TKA

Do ultrasound-guided genicular nerve blocks with 0.5% bupivacaine provide improved knee analgesia for patients recovering from total knee replacement surgery compared to saline injection? Hypotheses: The investigators hypothesize that the combination of ultrasound-guided adductor canal block (ACB) and genicular nerve block will achieve lower opioid consumption and therefore lead to decreased systemic side effects and improved overall satisfaction compared to ultrasound-guided saline injection for patients undergoing minimally invasive elective total knee arthroplasty (TKA).

Patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy suffer from acute postoperative pain, despite a multimodal analgesic regime. This is a randomised controlled trial efficay of the Quadratus Lumborum (QL) Block in terms of analgesic efficacy in patients who undergo laparoscopic cholecystectomy.

Whether a regional block should be conducted with a combination of those different possibilities is highly discussed. In this study the investigators want to show the effectiveness of new standard way of combined use of ultrasound and nerve stimulation, they call protective nerve stimulation. According to ethical vote we are conducting an observational study.
