Upper Extremity Dysfunction Post Radial Percutaneous Coronary Intervention

Trans-Radial Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (TR-PCI) is rapidly becoming the gold standard. This is especially the case in primary Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI), where most benefits of the radial approach, such as reduced major bleeding and mortality, can be expected. However there is very limited research available looking at the consequences of trans-radial access for upper extremity function. The main objective of this study is to provide insight in the morbidity with regards to the upper extremity surrounding the radial access route in percutaneous coronary interventions. Secondary objectives are to provide insight in the consequences for functional status, factors influencing and financial costs of this morbidity, to identify subject who might benefit from early referral and treatment of this morbidity and to generate hypotheses for further clinical research into this matter. The investigators hypothesis is that approximately 20% of the population will experience upper extremity dysfunction after TR-PCI.

Individual and Group Exercise Program for Industrial Workers With CANS: Randomized Controlled Trial

This study is double-blinded RCT, whose aim is to assess if an individual exercise program is more effective to reduce complaints in neck, shoulders and arms that an group exercise program, in industrial workers. The participants will be randomly allocated to receive 12 treatment sessions of individual exercise training (IET) or in group exercise training (GET). Sessions will last 30 minutes and will be held twice a week for 12 weeks. Participants will also be encouraged to continue the use of medicines and other health care.

Traditional Rehabilitation Versus Rehabilitation With the Imoove® Device for Spinal Musculoskeletal Disorders

The main objective of this study is to evaluate in patients with chronic low back pain (lasting for more than 3 months and not postoperative) the effect of an instrumental rehabilitation using the I-Moove ® device compared to a conventional physiotherapy rehabilitation for ambulatory postural stability (mean and standard deviation of excursions from the center of gravity) without visual control, 6 weeks after the start of the rehabilitation protocol. We focus on the relative variation between the values obtained on day 0 versus 6 weeks, via measures performed on a force platform. The results will be stratified into 3 age groups (18-39 years, 40-60 years and over 60 years).

An Extension Study of Ataluren (PTC124) in Participants With Nonsense Mutation Dystrophinopathy

The primary objective of this study is to obtain long term safety data of ataluren in male participants with nonsense mutation dystrophinopathy (who participated and completed a previous Phase 3 study of ataluren [PTC124-GD-020-DMD {NCT01826487}]) to augment the overall safety database. Screening and baseline procedures are structured to avoid a gap in treatment between the double-blind study (PTC124-GD-020-DMD) and this extension study. This study may be further extended by amendment until either ataluren becomes commercially available or the clinical development of ataluren in duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) is discontinued.

Static postures, repetitive work tasks, and work stress increase the risk for musculoskeletal disorders and sickness absence. Objective measurements of occupational loadings - EMG for muscular activity, EEG for cognitive activity, ECG for cardiovascular activity and heart rate variability, actigraphy for bodily movements - may provide useful early indicators of muscular, cognitive and cardiovascular overload. The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of an individually tailored bio-psycho-social intervention strategy versus "usual care" ergonomics and standard physical exercises (reference group) on these risk factors in lab technicians with a history of work-related musculoskeletal pain.
