NCT ID: NCT05743413 Recruiting - Ischemic Stroke Clinical Trials

Improving the Quality of Life of Stroke Patients Using the Armeo Spring Device

Start date: November 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The main goal will be to evaluate the effect of improving the quality of movement of the upper limb (using an evaluation exercise in the software of the Armeo Spring device) on the development of the quality of life after stroke using a standardized generic and specific questionnaire. The secondary outcome will be to evaluate changes in self-sufficiency using a test of daily activities modified by the Frenchay test of daily activities.

NCT ID: NCT05741905 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Acute Ischemic Stroke

Safety and Efficacy of Levofloxacin Combined With Intravenous Thrombolysis for Acute Ischemic Stroke

Start date: June 1, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine the efficacy and safety of levofloxacin combined with intravenous thrombolysis in treating acute ischemic stroke

NCT ID: NCT05741593 Recruiting - Stroke Clinical Trials

Qualitative Analysis of Interviews Between Pharmacist and Elderly Patients Treated With Antithrombotics for an Ischemic Stroke.

QUATRO
Start date: April 7, 2023
Phase:
Study type: Observational

Cerebrovascular accident is the 2nd leading cause of death and the leading cause of disability in the world. There are brakes and levers of medication adherence in the context of secondary prevention treatment in stroke.

NCT ID: NCT05735405 Recruiting - Ischemic Stroke Clinical Trials

Aerobic Exercise and Cognitive Training in Patients With Stroke

Start date: November 12, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The goal of this clinical trial is to test the effects of aerobic exercise and BDNF on patients with ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke during a computerized cognitive training. The main questions it aims to answer are: 1. Does a moderate intensity aerobic exercise, prior to a cognitive training, allow a better performance? 2. Is it possible to exploit the timing of rehabilitation interventions to obtain greater effects? Participants will be divided in 2 groups. The experimental group will first perform 20 minutes of pedaling as a moderate intensity aerobic exercise. It will then participate in one-hour cognitive training sessions, with the aim of training attentional, working memory and executive functions. The control group will carry out the same interventions but in reverse order. The researchers will compare the results of the cognitive training in the two groups to verify if the order of the interventions influences the results themselves.

NCT ID: NCT05735301 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Endovascular Thrombectomy

MR Imaging Selection for Endovascular Treatment in Acute Ischemic Stroke at 6 to 24 Hours

MIELS
Start date: January 1, 2019
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The acute management of stroke patients requires a fast and efficient screening imaging modality. The primary modalities used to select patients for endovascular thrombectomy (EVT) are magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and CT/MR perfusion. The investigators prospectively assessed MRI and CTP concordance/discordance and correlated the imaging on both with EVT treatment decisions and clinical outcomes to verify the validity of MRI (FVH-DWI mismatch) for the preoperative assessment of EVT in patients with an extended time window (6h to 24h).

NCT ID: NCT05733416 Recruiting - Occult Cancer Clinical Trials

Intensive Cancer Screening After Cryptogenic Stroke

INCOGNITO
Start date: September 1, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The INCOGNITO Pilot Trial is a single centre pilot prospective randomized open-label blinded endpoint (PROBE) trial to assess the feasibility of a full-scale randomized trial to determine whether an occult cancer screening strategy of FDG PET/CT in addition to usual care increases the number of occult cancers diagnosed after screening compared to usual care cancer screening alone in patients with cryptogenic stroke.

NCT ID: NCT05731310 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Post-stroke Cognitive Impairment

Clinical Study of Angong Niuhuang Pill and Acupuncture on PSCI Angong Niuhuang Pill Combined With Supervised Pulse Music Electroacupuncture on Cognitive Impairment After Ischemic Stroke

Start date: August 1, 2022
Phase: Early Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

Post stroke cognitive impairment (PSCI) refers to the attainment of cognitive impairment after the clinical event of stroke A range of syndromes that impede diagnostic criteria. Epidemiologically, PSCI is one of the common complications in stroke patients

NCT ID: NCT05728333 Recruiting - Clinical trials for Stroke, Acute Ischemic

Intravenous Tirofiban Versus Alteplase Before Mechanical Thrombectomy in Stroke

ADJUVANT
Start date: November 28, 2023
Phase: Phase 2/Phase 3
Study type: Interventional

In patients with acute ischemic stroke secondary to large vessel occlusion, the role of intravenous adjunctive medications, such as tirofiban, or alteplase before endovascular thrombectomy has not been well investigated. This trial aim to evaluate the efficacy and safety of intravenous tirofiban versus alteplase for acute ischemic stroke patients with large vessel occlusion piror to endovascular thrombectomy.

NCT ID: NCT05724823 Recruiting - Stroke Clinical Trials

Virtual Physical Activity Seated Exercise - Phase 2

V-PASE
Start date: November 16, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This study will determine the acceptability of delivering seated exercises online and if seated exercises can improve balance, mobility, quality of life, and cardiometabolic health in those living with a stroke related mobility impairment. Participants will be allocated to either a 10-week seated exercise program or a delayed 2-week Boot Camp program. All seated exercises sessions and assessments will be conducted virtually.
