NCT ID: NCT05698420 Completed - Depressive Disorder Clinical Trials

Investigation of the Effects of Medium Cut-off Dialyzers Versus High-Flux Dialyzers on Clinical and Laboratory Parameters of Prevalent Hemodialysis Patients

Start date: March 1, 2020
Phase:
Study type: Observational

In this study, the investigators aimed to observe the effects of medium cut-off dialysis filters and high-flux dialysis filters on malnutrition inflammation score, uremic itching, restless leg syndrome, anemia, and ESA treatment, which are prominent complications in hemodialysis, and routine follow-up parameters.

NCT ID: NCT05698381 Completed - Depression Clinical Trials

Daily Vinegar Ingestion and Metabolic Health

Start date: February 1, 2023
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The purpose of this study is to determine if vinegar ingestion promotes beneficial changes to metabolic health parameters in healthy, overweight adults.

NCT ID: NCT05689749 Completed - Inflammation Clinical Trials

Superb Microvascular Imaging Ultrasonography of Lacrimal Gland in Patients With Sjögren Syndrome

SMI
Start date: April 1, 2021
Phase:
Study type: Observational

A prospective study will be conducted to evaluate inflammatory activity in lacrimal glands due to Sjögren's syndrome on Superb Microvascular Imaging (SMI), gray scale ultrasound (US), color Doppler US and Power Doppler US.

NCT ID: NCT05685108 Recruiting - Healthy Subjects Clinical Trials

Optimizing Ultrasound-induced Anti-inflammation in Human Subjects

Start date: December 1, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

This is a feasibility study to determine whether pulsed ultrasound stimulation targeting the splenic nerve or the cervical vagus nerve can elicit an anti-inflammatory immune response in healthy volunteers.

NCT ID: NCT05682222 Completed - Clinical trials for KLH and Imiquimod Induced Skin Inflammation in Healthy Volunteers

Evaluation of the Immunopharmacology of EDP1815 and EDP2939

Start date: June 27, 2022
Phase: Phase 1
Study type: Interventional

A single-center, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, multiple dose platform trial.

NCT ID: NCT05680441 Completed - Periodontitis Clinical Trials

GCF Annexin-A1, Carbonic Anhydrase-1, and Elongation Factor-1 Gamma Levels in Periodontitis

Start date: September 1, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The study aimed to investigate gingival crevicular fluid (GCF) levels of possible novel biomarkers Annexin-A1 (ANX A1), Carbonic anhydrase- 1 (CA I), and Elongation Factor-1 Gamma (EF1-Ɣ) in health along with different periodontal diseases. In total, 80 systemically healthy individuals were included in this study; 20 with periodontitis stage 3 grade B , 20 with periodontitis stage 3 grade C (P-Stage III/C), 19 with gingivitis, and 21 with clinically healthy periodontium. Probing depth, clinical attachment level, plaque index, and papillary bleeding index were recorded. GCF ANX A1, CA I and EF1-Ɣ levels were analyzed by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Receiver operating characteristics curve was used for estimating the under the curve.

NCT ID: NCT05679310 Completed - Inflammation Clinical Trials

Innovative Biotechnological Production of Antioxidant Products

Antiox-Plus
Start date: February 10, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

Several natural compounds have been explored as immune-boosting, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory dietary supplements. Amongst them, hydroxytyrosol a natural antioxidant found in olive products, and endemic medicinal plants have attracted the scientific's community and industry's interest. The safety and biological activity of a standardised supplement containing 10 mg of hydroxytyrosol synthesized using genetically modified Escherichia coli strains and equal amounts (8.33 μL) of essential oils from oregano vulgaris, sage officinalis and crithmum maritimum in an open-label, single-arm, prospective clinical study were studied. The supplement capsules were given to 12 healthy subjects, aged 26-52, once a day for 8 weeks.

NCT ID: NCT05677555 Recruiting - Clinical trials for End Stage Renal Disease on Dialysis

Colchicine and Inflammation in Hemodialysis Patients

CICI-HP
Start date: November 1, 2022
Phase: Phase 2
Study type: Interventional

Chronic, low-grade inflammation is regarded as a common comorbid condition in chronic dialysis patients. Increased inflammatory markers in chronic dialysis patients are associated with adverse clinical outcomes . Considering the association of low-grade inflammation with high rate of morbidity and mortality we decided to evaluate the anti inflammatory effect of colchicine on inflammatory markers in hemodialysis patients

NCT ID: NCT05675241 Enrolling by invitation - Peri-Implantitis Clinical Trials

Characterizing the Inflammation Around Dental Implants

Start date: September 1, 2022
Phase:
Study type: Observational

The use of titanium dental implants has become a common modern treatment to restore teeth. Although the success rate of dental implants is high, inflammation around the dental implant still occurs. The current study will investigate if the inflammation around the implant is due to bacterial infection, hypersensitivity or both. The goal of this cross-sectional study is to (1) Establish the levels of cytokines in peri-implant crevicular fluid associated with bacterial infection and hypersensitivity reaction; (2) Compare the levels of cytokines associated with hypersensitivity and bacterial infection between healthy implants and inflamed implants (peri-mucositis and peri-implantitis); (3) Determine whether the difference in the levels of cytokines, if they exist, reflects the clinical diagnosis of healthy implants and inflamed implants.

NCT ID: NCT05675163 Completed - Inflammation Clinical Trials

Antioxidant and Immune Effects of Vitamin K2

Start date: November 15, 2022
Phase: N/A
Study type: Interventional

The aim of the study is to obtain insight into a dose-dependent effect of vitamin K2 on oxidative stress and specific markers of the immune system.
