Determine 1) the impact of abnormal fetal cerebrovascular physiology with neurodevelopmental delay (ND) outcomes and 2) how this relationship is modified by patient and environmental factors such as chronic congenital heart disease (CCHD) lesion, maternal-fetal environment, and social determinants of heath (SDOH) in a diverse population using a multicenter design. Pregnant women will be approached during one of their fetal cardiology clinic visits.

To determine the effects of preoperative exercise therapy on postoperative cardiopulmonary outcomes and quality of life in children with corrective cardiac surgeries.Within literature there is limited evidence on preoperative exercise therapy in the pediatric population, positive results of the study can introduce a new tradition of preoperative exercise therapy and significantly reduce post-operative complications. Secondary complications would also be addressed in the study, a positive result can reduce the total costs by reducing hospital stays and improving the quality of life of child.

Creative Music Therapy in Newborns With Congenital Heart Disease

In the context of a clinical trial, the investigators will evaluate if parent-infant interaction can be improved by a family integrated, individualised, interactive resource- and needs-oriented music therapy approach in the dyads of infants with congenital heart disease and their parents. This intervention will be compared with the standard of care. Infants allocated to the control group will receive standard care during admission. Standard care includes involvement of a multi-professional team consisting of medical and nursing team, psychologists/psychiatrists, social workers, breastfeeding counsellor, speech therapist, nutritional counsellor and physiotherapists.

Automated Fetal Cardiac Function in Babies Affected by Heart Diseases

The goal of this international multicentre prospective observational cohort study with a nested case-control study is to test some automated fetal heart functional parameters in healthy babies compared to those affected by a congenital heart condition. The main questions it aims to answer are: - If there is a significant difference between the two populations of infants - Whether these parameters could significantly improve the predictive value of actual cardiovascular profile score to predict hydrops Participants will be offered two automated cardiac function assessments between 27+6 and 29+6 gestational weeks and between 34+6 and 36+6 weeks of gestation. Functional parameters will be compared between the two study groups and evaluated over time.

Rares diseases are a heterogeneous group of conditions which need important tools for diagnosis. The use of high-throughput sequencing is able to diagnose half of the patients. For the other part it is impossible to conclude due to the presence of variants of unknown significance (VOUS). Functional analysis are needed to bring strong argument to reclassify variants as pathogenic or benign. The main objective is to evaluate the diagnosis yield of this strategy.

Application of a Clinical Decision Support System to Reduce Mechanical Ventilation Duration After Cardiac Surgery

The goal of this study is to evaluate the impact of a clinical decision support system (CDSS) in children receiving mechanical ventilation (MV) after surgery for congenital heart disease (CHD). The main question it aims to answer is: -What is the impact of a CDSS designed to facilitate weaning and discontinuation of MV on the duration of MV in post-operative congenital cardiac surgery patients? Participants will be identified as eligible to initiate weaning from mechanical ventilation. Providers will decide whether or not to initiate weaning based on recommendations provided by the CDSS. Researchers will compare patients exposed to the CDSS with a historical cohort to see if the CDSS facilitated a decrease in MV duration.
