Filter by:There remains a large gap between ideal and actual care provided to patients with chronic diseases. Performance feedback reports are often used as a foundation for quality improvement interventions. There have been hundreds of trials investigating the use of feedback reports; the important question to ask now is not whether performance feedback reports can help to improve quality of care, but how to optimize feedback interventions to accomplish that goal. The purpose of this study is to test whether a theory-based intervention added to feedback reports sent to primary care providers can result in improved outcomes for patients with chronic disease.

This study will evaluate the effect of ACZ885 on vascular function in patients with documented atherosclerotic disease and T2DM or IGT.
The purpose of the study is to investigate the effects of Real-time Continuous Glucose Monitoring on severe complications to pregnancy in women with diabetes.
The aim of the study is to investigate the effect of Victoza (a GLP-1 receptor agonist)on insulin-dose, risk of hypoglycemia and gastric emptying rate during hypoglycemia in patients with type 1 diabetes.
This trial is conducted in Europe. The aim of this trial is to investigate whether a new compound, liraglutide, reduces the level of lipids (fat), including cholesterol, in the blood of type 2 diabetics, following a meal with high fat content.
This trial was conducted in Europe. The aim of this clinical trial was to evaluate the pharmacodynamic dose-response relationship of NN5401 (insulin degludec/insulin aspart) at three therapeutically relevant doses in subjects with type 1 diabetes. The trial is designed as a four period, incomplete block cross-over trial where the trial participant will be randomised to a treatment sequence by which the subject will receive two matched dose levels of NN5401 and biphasic insulin aspart, respectively.
This trial is conducted in Europe. The aim of this clinical trial is to compare the blood glucose lowering effect of NN5401(insulin degludec/insulin aspart (IDegAsp)) with NN1250 (insulin degludec (IDeg)) and insulin aspart (IAsp) in subjects with type 1 diabetes where the trial participant will receive one single dose of each trial product in varying order.
Creatine supplementation is capable of improving glucose tolerance in healthy subjects. The researchers aim to investigate whether this supplement can affect metabolic control in diabetic patients.
The main purpose of this study is to investigate progression of late complications of diabetes during the last ten years in a well characterized cohort of type 1 diabetes with a long duration of the disease, and to define factors responsible for the progression of late complications.
