There are about 173942 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in United States. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The purpose of this study is to assess the safety and efficacy of zonisamide (ZNS) for the treatment of noise-induced hearing loss in adults.
This project's overall goal is to test the feasibility, acceptability and efficacy of two coach-assisted, computer-based, cognitive- behavioral therapy (C-CBT) interventions in treating depression and anxiety in adolescent and young adult cancer survivors. The two coach-assisted interventions will be compared to the standard C-CBT intervention.
This is a single arm interventional molecular analysis study with no administration of investigational product and no masking. This multicenter study will involve participants with advanced/metastatic disease for the purpose of collecting tumor tissue and blood samples for broad molecular analysis and examining the expression of specific biomarkers using validated clinical assays.
VOICES is a longitudinal, prospective, observational study that will enroll up to 10,000 subjects of diverse racial backgrounds being administered an emergency use authorized COVID-19 vaccine, for collection and analysis of stool and blood samples. It has recently been shown that the gut microbiome, the collection of microbes that line our GI tract, play a significant role in vaccine immune response and severe complications from COVID-19. The identification of biomarkers may aid in predicting response to vaccination and are critical towards improving vaccine-induced immunity. These real-world patient derived biomarkers could be used as interventional targets for the design of innovative adjuvant co-therapies that can boost an effective immune response to the vaccine, enhancing efficacy for a broader population, including those at most risk. Subjects who meet the entry criteria will provide two samples each of blood, one prior to and one following vaccine administration. Follow-up questionnaires will be sent at 3, 6, 9, and 12 months to determine if participants have contracted COVID-19 or have experienced any adverse effects of the vaccine. Nasal swab samples will also be collected from participants that have contracted COVID-19. The samples will be analyzed to determine the impact of gut microbiome composition and function on the immune system and vaccine efficacy.
This randomized, controlled trial is designed to evaluate the effect of acupuncture on Chemotherapy-Induced Peripheral Neuropathy (CIPN), other symptoms, and potential opioid and concomitant medication sparing effects in comparison to standard of care management in Multiple Myeloma subjects.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and antitumor activity of TAS-117 in patients with advanced or metastatic solid tumors (excluding primary brain tumors) harboring germline PTEN inactivating mutations.
The research aims of this proposal are: - Specific Aim 1: To test whether an increase in nitric oxide signaling can increase vasodilator responses in young Black individuals. - Specific Aim 2: To test whether a decrease in endothelin-1 signaling can increase vasodilator responses in young Black individuals.
A prospective, multicenter, randomized, single-masked clinical trial to evaluate the effectiveness outcomes of canaloplasty performed as a standalone procedure with the iTrack microcatheter to the Omni surgical system, and to compare the effectiveness of two types of Ophthalmic Viscoelastic Device (OVD).
In this research study we want to learn more about abnormal heart rhythm after cardiac surgery in children. These abnormal heart rhythms, also called arrhythmias, may occur due to several reasons after cardiac surgery. They can be due to abnormal electrical pathway or an irritable area of the heart that stimulates abnormal impulses. Regardless of the cause, arrhythmias after cardiac surgery can be a problem, extending the hospital stay, requiring additional medications and even leading to cardiac arrest. Current practice is to monitor for arrhythmias after cardiac surgery, and to treat them if they occur. With this research, we want to investigate whether we can identify patients who will develop arrhythmia, and treat them before they occur.
