This study is being conducted to test the safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics of the investigational drug CY6463 compared with placebo in individuals who are aged 60 years or older and have Alzheimer's disease (AD) along with common cardiovascular risk factors.
The primary objectives of the study are: - To describe the safety profile of all participants in each age group and each study intervention group up to 12 months post-last dose. - To describe the neutralizing antibody profile at Day 1, Day 22, and Day 36 of each study intervention group. The secondary objectives of the study are: - To describe binding antibody profile from Day 1 to Day 387 of each study intervention group. - To describe the neutralizing antibody profile from Day 91 to Day 387 of each study intervention group. - To describe the occurrence of virologically-confirmed coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19)-like illness and serologically-confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection. - To evaluate the correlation/association between antibody responses to SARS-CoV-2 messenger RNA (mRNA) vaccine and the risk of virologically-confirmed COVID-19-like illness and/or serologically-confirmed severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection.
The primary objective is to determine whether the use of immunomodulating medications have an impact on the ability to mount and sustain an immune response to SARS-CoV-2 spike protein following mRNA vaccination in patients with MS when compared to healthy controls not receiving immunomodulating medications. We hypothesize that the use of immunomodulators in MS patients may eliminate or reduce the level of protective immune response, and/or shorten the duration of the protective response.

ABY-035-204 is a clinical study to assess the efficacy of IL-17 blocker ABY-035 in ankylosing spondylitis(AS). The primary objective is to estimate the relationship between different dose regimens of ABY-035 and clinical response as assessed by Assessment of Spondyloarthritis International Society 40 (ASAS40) response at Week 16 in subjects with active AS.
This is an open-label study using a device currently prescribed by doctors. This means everyone involved in the study will know the name of the product, only one product will be used, and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved the sale of this product. Although this is called a device, the product is an emollient-type lotion. Healthcare workers (HCW) often suffer from signs and symptoms of skin irritation, including pain, redness, roughness, dryness, cracking and itching due to the extensive use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as masks and gloves. These are thought to be due to changes in the normal skin barrier function induced by repeated minor abrasion in the warm, moist environment induced by extensive use of PPE required at work. EpiCeram Controlled Skin Barrier Emulsion (EpiCeram) is a prescription skin barrier repair product containing ingredients designed to improve skin barrier function. However, EpiCeram has not previously been studied in people with skin irritation due to extensive use of PPE. This study was terminated after 1 (one) subject was enrolled due to the inability to find willing participants.
The purpose of this study is to compare the experiences of subjects who drain malignant (cancerous) pleural effusions (fluid) from around their lung(s) in a more frequent manner using a talc instilled via tunneled pleural catheter combined with daily drainage and those subjects who drain this fluid in a daily standard manner.
The goal of this study is to determine if non-opioid pain control is a safe way to manage pain after intracapsular adenotonsillectomy surgery in children. This study is the second part of our randomized clinical trials of assessing pain after adenotonsillectomy (T&A), the first being total T&A. The investigators will repeat the methodology in the first clinical trial by randomly assigning children aged 3-17 to one of two groups: one group will receive non-opioid pain medication only, and the other group will receive opioid and non-opioid medications for pain control. The investigators will analyze the data and determine if there is a difference in pain control between the two drug regimens, and if there are any other associated complications between the two groups. This study is important because if we can demonstrate that there is little difference in outcomes and pain control between the two groups, a strong argument can be made for reducing or eliminating opioid prescription after intracapsular adenotonsillectomy. This may protect future children from the risks of taking opioid medications and help to reduce the scope of the opioid epidemic.
