There are about 173942 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in United States. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
The main purpose of this study is to compare how long subjects with esophageal cancer live overall or live without disease progression after receiving nivolumab and ipilimumab or nivolumab combined with fluorouracil plus cisplatin versus fluorouracil plus cisplatin
The purpose of this study is to 1) determine how hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis (HPA axis) activation occurs with sleep restriction 2) evaluate how hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis (HPG axis) deactivation occurs with sleep restriction. The investigator will also examine the cognitive function associated with sleep restriction, including food intake and food cravings.
This research study will test a problem-solving intervention for Spanish-speaking stroke caregivers that will be delivered over the telephone and online via the previously developed and nationally available Spanish version of the RESCUE website. The investigators will adapt their previously pilot-tested problem-solving intervention and make it culturally-relevant for Hispanic caregivers. The investigators' main goal is to test the efficacy of a brief, telephone and online problem-solving intervention. The objectives are: 1) reduce caregiver burden and depression, 2) improve caregivers' problem-solving abilities, self-efficacy, and quality of life, 3) improve Veterans' functional abilities and determine the intervention's impact on Veterans' healthcare utilization, 4) determine budgetary impact, and 5) determine caregivers' perceptions of the intervention.
To develop a test to characterize and monitor SLE disease activity status from a participant's home by analyzing the gene expression from participant self-collected blood samples using a novel fingerstick collection kit.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of pembrolizumab (MK-3475) in the adjuvant treatment of adult participants who have undergone nephrectomy and have intermediate-high risk, high risk, or M1 no evidence of disease (M1 NED) renal cell carcinoma (RCC) with clear cell component. The primary study hypothesis is that pembrolizumab is superior to placebo with respect to Disease-free Survival (DFS) as assessed by the Investigator in male and female participants with intermediate-high risk, high risk and M1 NED RCC.
The overall goal of the study is to develop data that can convincingly guide clinicians on the use and efficacy of vedolizumab in patients with small bowel CD. There is an unmet need to identify response to vedolizumab in small bowel CD using objective endpoints. Current data suggest that MR enterography may meet this unmet need. There is an additional unmet need to develop predictive models incorporating both clinical and baseline radiological and endoscopic variables with higher discriminatory performance in identifying longer term clinical remission with vedolizumab. Finally, this proposal is strengthened by the exploratory studies which may identify new proteomic biomarkers that correlate with longer term radiological response with vedolizumab reflecting its latency of response. If successful, these serum biomarkers may guide a personalized approach to the treatment of small bowel CD with vedolizumab, allowing early identification of PNR, monitoring disease activity and the pharmacodynamics of vedolizumab.
This phase II trial studies how well atezolizumab or atezolizumab plus bevacizumab works in treating patients with alveolar soft part sarcoma that has not been treated, has spread from where it started to other places in the body (advanced) and cannot be removed by surgery (unresectable). Atezolizumab works by unblocking the immune system, allowing the immune system cells to recognize and then attack tumor cells. Bevacizumab works by controlling the growth of new blood vessels. Giving atezolizumab alone or atezolizumab with bevacizumab may shrink the cancer.
This research study is comparing two different combinations of androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) used together with radiation as a treatment for rising PSA after radical prostatectomy (prostate cancer).
This trial studies how well a decision aid website works in helping to make decisions about fertility in participants with cancer. Decision aid websites that provide information about fertility preservation (maintaining your ability to have children of your own after cancer treatment) may help participants with cancer make fertility-preservation decisions.
This is a single-arm, single-stage Phase II study designed to evaluate the 1-year PFS rate in subjects with locally-advanced NSCLC (stage II/III) and treated with Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) followed by concurrent mediastinal chemoradiation with or without consolidation chemotherapy. A total of 60 subjects will be enrolled to this study over a 4 year accrual period.
