There are about 173942 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in United States. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Currently, if a radiologist finds a suspicious lesion seen only on a diagnostic Contrast Enhanced Digital Mammography (CEDM) exam requiring biopsy the biopsy procedure would likely be performed with MRI guidance because there are currently limited solutions to biopsy with CEDM guidance. Affirm Contrast Biopsy will provide an additional solution to biopsy/localize lesions found by using a CEDM imaging modality.
This is a multicenter, open-label, dose-escalation Phase 1b study of AEVI-007 in subjects with relapsed or refractory Multiple Myeloma. The objectives of the study are to evaluate the safety, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of AEVI-007.
The goal of this study is to evaluate the role of probiotics in the treatment of pediatric NAFLD by evaluating for steatosis and fibrosis with a Fibroscan machine. This will be done by performing a fibroscan during each visit and comparing patients' ALT at various intervals. This is an important study as current pediatric guidelines only recommend lifestyle modifications for the treatment of NAFLD and the use of ALT and sonogram to assess improvement as standard of care. Investigators hypothesized that treatment with a probiotic will demonstrate an improvement in NAFLD as assessed by a fibroscan of liver which is good for the monitoring of steatosis and fibrosis. Additionally, analysis of fecal microbiome results may offer insight into targeted therapy in the future.
The study will compare the short-term clinical performance and wearer and practitioner acceptability of a new-to-market spherical daily disposable (DD) hydrogel soft contact lens to a currently marketed spherical DD hydrogel soft contact lens.
This is a double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled, multicenter study of the efficacy and safety of tolperisone (a non-opioid) or placebo administered in subjects with pain due to acute back muscle spasm.
The purpose of this study is to determine whether the single and multiple-dose pharmacokinetics (PK) of MGL-3196 are affected by co-administration with clopidogrel in healthy subjects.
The purpose of this study is to determine whether the single-dose pharmacokinetics (AUC) of pioglitazone are affected by chronic dosing with MGL-3196 100 mg/day in healthy subjects.
To measure a baseline for each subject, an abdominal x-ray (KUB) was performed, the SCI Bowel Survey and Treatment Satisfaction Questionnaire (TSQM) were administered and the subject's weight determined. After all the baseline measurements were acquired, the subjects underwent transdermal screening with hair epilation to test their response to transdermal administration of NEO (0.07mg/kg) and GLY (0.014mg/kg). All subjects had a positive response (bowel movement within 60 minutes of drug administration) and received five more cycles of bowel care for two weeks. All subjects reported bowel evacuation during each session and some reported side effects like slight dry mouth, eye twitching, and cramping. These side effects lasted approximately 20-30 minutes in duration and there were no clinically significant changes in cardiopulmonary vital signs. Six subjects after completing two weeks of bowel care had an abdominal x-ray (KUB) done. Also, they were weighted and reassessed using the TSQM and bowel survey.
This is a randomized controlled trial to prevent postpartum smoking relapse by breastfeeding promotion. The intervention group (N=30) will receive multicomponent breastfeeding intervention from late pregnancy to 6 months postpartum, while the attention placebo control group (N=30) will receive general infant care counseling and support. The key outcome is the rate of postpartum smoking relapse.
The purpose of this study is to analyze nasal samples for the presence of biomarkers of allergic inflammation as well as cold and flu infections, and compare these samples both in and out of an individual's active allergy season. 40 subjects who suffer from seasonal allergies will be recruited and seen both in and out of allergy season, and 10 healthy controls. Nasal epithelial lining fluid (NELF,) collected by placing small filter papers into the nostrils, blood for analysis and a cold/flu swab will be collected at each study visit.
