Both DermACELL® and Integra® Bilayer Wound Matrix are indicated for deep soft tissue coverage and serve as a biological matrix for cellular migration. The current thinking about the utility of these products is to apply over the wound surface and wait until the graft is well vascularized (granular bed/neodermis). At that point a split thickness skin graft can be applied over this area to cover and heal the wound. This study will determine whether human allograft or xenograft will create a durable neodermis that is more supportive of accepting of a split thickness skin graft. Patients who do not receive Split thickness skin grafts will be assigned to the second cohort for observation of healing rates.
This study is an open label, multicenter, randomized phase II trial of consolidation immunotherapy with either nivolumab alone or the combination of nivolumab and ipilimumab following concurrent chemoradiation in patients with unresectable stage III NSCLC.
The purpose of this study is to test any good and bad effects of an experimental diet, called a ketogenic diet, in endometrial cancer. A ketogenic diet is one that is very low in carbohydrates (simple and complex sugars). The goal of this diet is for the body to go into a state of ketosis. Ketosis is when the body does not have enough sugar for energy so it burns stored fats which create acids called ketones, which can be used for energy. Researchers hope to learn whether or not a ketogenic diet is well-tolerated and safe to eat before surgery in endometrial cancer patients.
Primary Objectives: Dose Escalation: - To assess the incidence rate of dose-limiting toxicity (DLT) and to determine the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) as well as the recommended dose (RD) of amcenestrant administered as monotherapy and in combination with palbociclib - To assess the incidence rate of DLT and determine the RD of everolimus or abemaciclib in combination with the selected amcenestrant dose for the combination therapy Safety Run-In: - To confirm the RD of amcenestrant in combination with alpelisib Dose Expansion: - Antitumor activity using objective response rate (ORR) - Overall safety profile of amcenestrant administered in combination with palbociclib, alpelisib, everolimus, and abemaciclib Secondary Objectives: - Overall safety profile of amcenestrant monotherapy and in combination - Pharmacokinetic (PK) profile of amcenestrant administered as monotherapy or in combination and PK profile of palbociclib, alpelisib, everolimus and abemaciclib - Antitumor activity using ORR, the clinical benefit rate (CBR) and progression free survival (PFS) - Time to first tumor response - Residual ER availability with positron emission tomography (PET) scan [(18)F] fluoroestradiol (18F-FES) uptake with increasing doses of amcenestrant - Food effect on PK of amcenestrant - Potential induction/inhibition effect of amcenestrant on cytochrome P450 (CYP) 3A using 4b-OH cholesterol
This phase II trial studies how well adavosertib works in treating patients with SETD2-deficient solid tumors that have spread to other places in the body (advanced/metastatic). Adavosertib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.
This study will enroll individuals who have end stage renal disease and who are undergoing a solitary kidney transplant. This study is investigating/evaluating the safety and effectiveness of collecting, expanding and infusing a specific certain type of immune cell known as Regulatory T cells (Treg cells) to renal transplant recipients who are using Zortress (Everolimus) as immunosuppressive therapy. Treg cells, once they have been expanded in the laboratory to help prevent kidney rejection. Treg cells are collected from a participant's blood through a procedure called apheresis. Treg cells are a type of white blood cells that are able to suppress the activity of other immune cells responsible for organ rejection. The investigator plans to enroll 12 participants at the University of Kentucky.
This is a prospective randomized controlled study comparing the efficacy of cryolipolysis versus ATX-101 (deoxycholic acid) for the treatment of upper back fat. Participants currently living in the Chicago metropolitan area and meet inclusion/exclusion criteria will be considered for enrollment. The treatment sites are the right and left upper back fat areas. The right and left sides of the upper back fat will be randomly assigned (1:1) to receive cryolipolysis, while the contralateral side will receive ATX-101. This study was a pilot study designed to determine feasibility of this procedure.
This phase I trial studies the side effects and best dose of daratumumab, ixazomib, and dexamethasone in treating participants with amyloid light chain amyloidosis. Monoclonal antibodies, such as daratumumab, may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as ixazomib and dexamethasone, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving daratumumab, ixazomib, and dexamethasone may be effective in treating participants with light chain amyloidosis.
The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are creating a new generation of Veterans, including an increasing number of women Veterans, who present with comorbid PTSD and chronic pain conditions from recent deployment-related physical injuries and exposure to psychological trauma. Health behavior change has become increasingly important in treating these conditions and proactively preventing long-term negative health sequelae, in order to benefit these Veterans directly and reduce the growing challenges to our healthcare system. The proposed CDA-2 program of research will use an innovative translational research approach to study whether a chronic progressive -based exercise program will reduce chronic pain in patients with PTSD and to elucidate and modify potential PTSD-related deficiencies in neurobiological and psychological responses to exercise to optimize the physical and psychological benefits of exercise for these individuals.
This study will be a standard 3+3 design with a lead in of TGR-1202 at dose of 600mg (dose level 1) or 800mg daily (dose level 2) for 6 weeks, i.e. 2 cycles, followed by pembrolizumab at 200mg every 3 weeks for 8 cycles along with TGR-1202 for patients with relapsed/refractory B-cell NHL or CLL. If the dose of 600mg daily of TGR-1202 (dose level 1) is tolerated in the first cohort the dose will be increased to 800mg qd which is the only and final dose escalation. If TGR-1202 is not tolerated at 600mg daily the dose will be decreased to 400mg daily. The lead in of TGR-1202 was chosen to ensure clinical benefit and to minimize the occurrence of early overlapping toxicity with pembrolizumab as most toxicities were observed early on in the treatment with idelalisib, a related PI3K-inhibitor, and rituximab.
