The Mexican American population in the U.S. is rapidly growing and aging. This project seeks to determine the prevalence and outcomes of cognitive impairment and dementia in Mexican Americans. It also seeks solutions to help patients with cognitive impairment and dementia and their caregivers get the resources they need.
The purpose of this study is to determine what tools best assist university students develop a personal meditation practice to self-manage stress. The two treatment conditions are 1) independent meditation using web-based tools and apps, and 2) independent meditation using web-based tools, apps and EEG-based neurofeedback. Outcomes of interest include acceptability, adherence, changes in mental health (i.e., anxiety, stress), physical health (i.e., sleep, inflammation), resilience, and level of commitment to further practice. Factors related to self-regulation (i.e., interoceptive awareness, self-esteem) will also be assessed as potential outcome moderators.
This phase II trial studies how well pembrolizumab with rituximab or obinutuzumab work in treating patients with follicular lymphoma or diffuse large B cell lymphoma that has come back (recurrent) or does not respond to treatment (refractory). Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as pembrolizumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Rituximab and obinutuzumab are monoclonal antibodies. They bind to a protein called CD20, which is found on B cells (a type of white blood cell) and some types of cancer cells. This may help the immune system kill cancer cells. Giving pembrolizumab with rituximab or obinutuzumab may help kill more cancer cells in patients with follicular lymphoma or diffuse large B cell lymphoma.

This is a single-arm, open-label phase II clinical trial in which approximately 55 patients with newly diagnosed glioblastoma (GBM) will be enrolled with the intent to receive an autologous dendritic cell vaccine consisting of autologous dendritic cells loaded with autologous tumor-associated antigens (AV-GBM-1).
The purpose of this study is to investigate experimental medication BMS-986253 in combination with Nivolumab or Nivolumab plus Ipilimumab in participants with advanced cancers.
The investigators are interested in whether or not the use of a mobile health (mHealth) application increases the rate of follow-up compliance among living kidney donors. The investigators aim to test this by randomly assigning living kidney donors to the intervention (use of mHealth application to complete required living kidney donor follow-up at 6 months, 1 year, and 2 years) or control arm (standard of care) upon discharge from their initial donation hospitalization, and tracking follow-up compliance over time. The study population will be approximately 400 living kidney donors who undergo donor nephrectomy at Methodist Specialty and Transplant Hospital (200/year for 2 years). The investigators will also recruit patients from the Vanderbilt University Medical Center into the study, however, these study participants are not a part of the Pilot Randomized Clinical Trial (RCT).
This is a prospective, single arm, phase II trial to determine the local control at 6 months utilizing pre-operative stereotactic radiosurgery followed by surgery within 1 - 4 days in subjects with a diagnosis of 1-4 brain metastases and with an indication for surgical resection of at least one brain metastasis at the discretion of a neurosurgeon.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate safety and efficacy of risankizumab in participants with ulcerative colitis (UC) in participants who responded to induction treatment with risankizumab in a prior AbbVie study of risankizumab in UC. This study consists of three sub-studies and a Continuous Treatment Extension (CTE): Substudy 1 is a 52-week, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled maintenance study; Substudy 2 is 52-week, randomized, exploratory maintenance study; and Substudy 3 is an open-label long-term extension study for participants who completed Substudy 1 or 2, or participants who responded to induction treatment in Study M16-067 with no final endoscopy due to the Covid-19 pandemic or due to the geopolitical conflict in Ukraine and surrounding impacted regions. The CTE is an open-label extension for Substudy 3 completers to ensure continuous treatment with risankizumab until such time that risankizumab becomes commercially available and/or the subject can access treatment locally or can transition to a Continued Treatment for Trial Participants Open-Label Extension study.
NMDA antagonist drugs have increasingly been demonstrated to reduce symptoms of depression and suicidal ideation. NeuroRx has developed a sequential therapy consisting of IV NRX-100 (ketamine HCL) for rapid stabilization of symptoms of depression and suicidal ideation followed by oral NRX-101 (fixed dose combination of D-cycloserine and lurasidone) for maintenance of stabilization from symptoms of depression and suicidal ideation. This study will test the hypothesis that that NRX-100 is superior to placebo in achieving rapid reduction in symptoms of depression and suicidal ideation in patients with Severe Bipolar Depression and Acute Suicidal Ideation or Behavior within 24 hours of administration.
