There are about 173942 clinical studies being (or have been) conducted in United States. The country of the clinical trial is determined by the location of where the clinical research is being studied. Most studies are often held in multiple locations & countries.
Phase II randomised control trial of whole body cooling in mild neonatal encephalopathy.
This study is a retrieval of database information regarding survivorship of the Comprehensive Shoulder System family of products. The primary objective of the retrieval is to collect data that will contribute to the post market surveillance requirements for this product and will provide feedback to design engineers, support marketing efforts and publications, and answer potential questions form reimbursement agencies.
The primary objectives of this study are: Part 1: To compare the overall survival (OS) of cemiplimab/chemo-f and cemiplimab/chemo-l/ipi versus platinum-based doublet chemotherapy in the first-line treatment of patients with advanced squamous or nonsquamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with tumors expressing PD-L1 in <50% of tumor cells. Part 2: To compare the OS of cemiplimab/chemo-f with placebo/chemo-f in the first-line treatment of patients with advanced squamous or non-squamous NSCLC irrespective of PD-L1 expression. The key secondary objectives are: Part 1: To compare the progression-free survival (PFS) and objective response rate (ORR) of cemiplimab/chemo-f and cemiplimab/chemo-l/ipi versus chemo-f in the first-line treatment of patients with advanced squamous or non-squamous NSCLC and tumors expressing PD-L1 in <50% of tumor cells. Part 2: To compare the PFS and ORR of cemiplimab/chemo-f versus placebo/chemo-f in the first-line treatment of patients with advanced squamous or non-squamous NSCLC irrespective of PD-L1 expression.
This phase II trial studies how well brentuximab vedotin and lenalidomide work in treating patients with stage IB-IVB T-cell lymphoma that have come back or do not respond to treatment. Monoclonal antibodies, such as brentuximab vedotin, may interfere with the ability of cancer cells to grow and spread. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as lenalidomide, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving brentuximab vedotin and lenalidomide may work better in treating patients with T-cell lymphoma.
Atopic dermatitis (AD) affects over 9 million children in the U.S. and often heralds the development of asthma, food allergy, skin infections and neurodevelopmental disorders. Recent advances identify skin barrier dysfunction to be the key initiator of AD and possibly allergic sensitization. Our central hypothesis is that daily emollient use from birth can prevent the development of AD in a community setting and into newborns unselected for risk. The results of a community-based clinical trial utilizing a pragmatic trial design will be immediately applicable to the population at large and will establish a new standard of care for all newborns.
This is a clinical trial of Microbiota Transplant Therapy (MTT) for adults with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) who have gastrointestinal problems. Previous research has shown that individuals with ASD have a low diversity of gut bacteria, and low diversity is generally associated with poor gastrointestinal (GI) health. We previously found that MTT therapy for children with ASD and GI symptoms was helpful in reducing their GI symptoms, reducing their ASD symptoms, and increasing their diversity of gut bacteria. This clinical trial will investigate the hypothesis that MTT therapy will be helpful for adults with ASD who have GI symptoms.
Pre-existing pain and severe postoperative pain are predictors of persistent pain after surgery, but a complete understanding on the development of persistent pain is still lacking. The study aims to identify clinically relevant and genetic risk factors for persistent postsurgical pain that can be reliably distinguished statistically.
24 adults, between the ages of 18 and 75 years, with cerebellar ataxia will be enrolled in a 12 week trial of BHV-4157 for treatment of ataxia. BHV-4157 is a pro-drug of riluzole (which is currently FDA-approved for ALS, Lou Gehrig's disease). There will be 5 visits to UCLA required--Screening when general and neurological examination, blood and urine testing, ECG, and questionnaires will be administered; Baseline when general and neurological examination and questionnaires will be administered and study drug dispensed; Week 4 and Week 12 when general and neurological examination, blood and urine testing, ECG, and questionnaires will be administered; 2 weeks after finishing study drug when general examination and blood testing will be completed. There is an option for a 36 week extension of the study drug trial.
This study aims to assess the relationship between overall satisfaction with treatment in a group of randomized patients undergoing elective hand surgery using either absorbable (4-0 Chromic) or non-absorbable (5-0 Nylon) sutures. The investigators will also assess factors associated with wound concerns, pain intensity, magnitude of limitations, and physical function within one month of surgery.
This study will examine the safety and efficacy of pembrolizumab (MK-3475) in combination with chemotherapy in children and young adults with newly diagnosed classical Hodgkin Lymphoma (cHL) who are slow early responders (SERs) to frontline chemotherapy.
